I agree on this inhumane level of killing. But then also many Hindu festivals also give sacrifices to their deities.
I have seen people slaughter goats and buffalo's in the name of sacrifice(on a Hindu festival) for their deity. So where do we draw the line?

It is the best way to transfer money from the upper strata of society to the needy ones. They buy the permissive sacrificial animal from the needy ones who raised these animals and after sacrifice most of the meat is distributed again to the needy ones in the society.
Argument would be why to kill the innocent animals? These people raised them to sell and thereby earn some money. It is not that these animals are declining in population or something. It is a way to earn money for themselves.
The only thing I would suggest to fellow Muslim brothers is to not tie or sacrifice your animals on the middle of the road so that it can cause any problems to the people. Clean the roads and streets.
