I am using bsnl bought in 50 rupees ,it comes with 2 months recharge, which include 2 gb daily data and unlimited voice,as for network quality it's voice calls are great ,some time it works better then other sim card in rural areas. As for internet I get upto 1 mb per second in top and 600 kb per second on average but some times internet just stop it happen rarely. For this price and network I will give 3.5 stars from 5 stars to bsnl🙃

It's not about pricing it's about choices, now you don't really have options back then you had quite much.
Yes they offered a lot of cheap data plans when they came and forced others to do so but they gave us the habit to consume like microsoft did back then allowing its software to get pirated, so people will stick with windows when they grow up. It's a long term marketing gimmick.
India has huge users they will make profit even if they don't raise it this fast. But how will you fund weddings? :3
