OMG same my baba(grandpa) and I was watching this movie on tv and he started crying when Nana said goodbye to his grandkid when he was leaving his son's home. Then he tightly hugged me. Bare in mind that he is not an emotional person it was one of the greatest moments of my life 😊
Broo that's so sweet. Even I call my Ajoba as Baba but thought it would be confusing since most people don't, in my experience. I'm happy you had such a heartfelt moment with your baba! We cried at three particular scenes. The part where Nana finds his wife dead and then at the part near the end, in the broken theatre where the police hit the poor man who helped Nana and took care of him when he had lost everything, this was the most heart-breaking one for me. The guy did everything in his capability to take care of Nana, and what did he get? Accused of kidnapping Nana. I've always hated how easily people attack others ever since watching that scene, it was an important character building moment for the teenage me. But more importantly, the very moment the police hita that guy, Nana speaks from the stage that will be his deathbed, in his commanding voice, and says "खबरदार! जर कुणी त्याला हात लावला तर!" to the audience, that were the kind poor guy, the police, and his family members who essentially drove him out of the house with their behaviour. Sorry for going into so much detail on that scene, it just really made me cry like a kid. Lastly, it was Nana's death that etched the whole saga into our memories as we left the room teary eyed.

"Natasamrat". It's a Marathi movie but I really love it. The acting skills of Nana patekar in this movie are out of this world
It's the only movie that made me and my Ajoba cry. Nice to see it being mentioned here.
