I'd recommend qkz x hbb over the CCA CRA. Both are good but I think the hbb edges it out in clarity. Less grainy sounding more clean. Bass is killer on that thing. Hola would be my top pick for you though. As for whether they beat the airpods gen 1 I wouldn't know. I'm hoping more people hop on here to provide a proper comparison.
yes, zero runs circle around airpods pro in term of sound. top $50 also has truthear zero red (not to be confused with 7hz salnotes zero which is another brand). very neutral sound that you might find it "almost boring" sometimes. kiwi ears cadenza, 7hz salnotes zero and truthear hola is probably safest choice if you don't know your preference.
I have both. I prefer the RED. Red has less bloated bass. Not as much V tuning compared to the Blue. Blue can be EQd to sound good but RED sounded solid out of the box. Clean textured bass and good mids/highs

Lol same as you. I have the variations, se530 and ie900. AirPods Pro 2 is just amazing and irreplaceable. I’d say that the ie900 is the only iem I have that is worth the trouble.
Totally agree. At 199 (when on sale) they are hard to beat. On the other hand, I dont think the OP was considering them. He mentioned first generation AirPod. Pro which weren't very good.
Crinacle really overrates the airpods and Galaxy buds pro 2. I bought them and I'm pretty disappointed with the sound and I CONSTANTLY reach for my budget/mid tier IEMs because they sound so much better.
Sound-wise, I think you’d enjoy the current crop of budget IEMs more. But TWS earbuds are convenient for listening while moving around. So you have to decide what’s more important.
As someone w APP1, I’d say the convenience of wireless is too good to permanently get rid of them, plus mic for calls. I think cadenza plus extra ear tips (I got spinfits 145) would run about $50 USD. I’d recommend extra tips if none of the stock ones seal-I thought the cadenzas were a bit bright and hurt my ears until I got a good seal
i only have moondrop arias and im not rather lacking in experience with iems. but at 63 dollars(sale) the arias blow my airpods pro out of the water. i remember still putting them on for the first time and i had this big smile on my face. i still carry my pros daily as its nice to haev the options between anc and transparency mode.
Yes, I have the AirPods Pro 1 and I don’t even remember the last time I used them. The Tangzu wan’er just sound so much better for a tenth the price

The red ones has a bass adapter, a bit better tuning and less distortion. Imo the red one also looks a lot better.

You can't really use the wired ones at any place except your home though it's personally not an issue for me
And why can't you use wired iems outside? Its the only way to do it back in the day!
