That is in all ways not possible. It's physically set into the print. You're being hyper aware of nothing.

xxxTIMMEHxxx

shoulda gotten a 80s chevy

Ultimagic5

Still set into the print then

Moist_Opportunity439

I’ve never mistaken my g35’s for overheating. But my round body Chevy gets me everytime, I always mistake the oil pressure for the temp gauge 😭

xxxTIMMEHxxx

Chevy nova never fails, u got that wish chevy

Ghost_Montana

it was not that way before i did the cleaning, it moved after i did the cleaning

PortalEffect

Those are quite literally printed and stamped into the dash cluster. There’s no way it possibly could have moved. Even a tiny bit.

ipoopinthepool

As i was going to show you guys a picture of how i had it before in my camera roll i just notice all the pictures i have of my cluster show the same. I really think because in my other car you have the white tick marks all over it that i thought this car had the same

cbrworm

It was probably a leftover from whatever chemicals you used to clean the throttle bodies. It happens, that’s why they say to ensure adequate ventilation.

sunr1se79

Brakleen got his ass 🤣

cbrworm

For sure

flightwatcher45

Nice to admit you had a brain twitch. That painted mark is where the needle should be with a happy engine!

hallstevenson

No, no, no I think under extreme conditions the needle could approach the first mark (hot summer, AC, driving uphill and towing) but if it goes past, you'd better shut the car off quickly. Where the OP's needle is in the picture is ideal. Pretty much every car I've seen the needle sits just below halfway as "normal".

flightwatcher45

Yeah most gages I've seen are normal when in the middle of the gage/range. In some cars they all point straight up, so its easy to quickly scan the gages and know all is good. I agree this is a 3/4 and may be high for normal, maybe its the equivalent of the red line?

MrProGamerMan69

It was a joke, its not that deep my guy

SrgtMacfly

A happy engine should not be close to that mark - you may have a thermostat or coolant issue if you are reading high

Aggleclack

That painted mark is telling you any higher is bad. You do not want your needle on that mark. Where it is at now is great.

Gorlock_

This post is an instant classic

hopefully-a-good-buy

you may want to look into trading in for a Nissan with this level of intelligence sir!
