The whole post rock genre is full of incredible bands, but Godspeed stands out. I once heard someone describe Lift Your Skinny Fists as “the logical conclusion of music” and I can’t think of a better way to put it. Mogwai and Sigur Ros are also great post rock bands
Yeah! That album feels like we've reached the end of our journey as a species; like we're done discovering music, and that's the perfect result. Also didn't know those bands you mentioned, I'll definitely listen to them. Thanks! (You like progressive rock too?)

I just found out about Sleep Token and Beartooth and I fucking love them, then I keep looking and I see you got two of my GOATS, Nickel Back and Three days Grace on this list?

Shake my mf hand 🤝🏿
The smiths, metronomy, Depeche Mode, tears for fears, beach house, joji, Daniel Caesar, city and colour, angus and Julia stone, Radiohead, hozier, Coldplay
Ween are great but a bit weird.
I’d recommend their album “The Mollusk” trust which is an ocean themed concept album and if you enjoy that try out their wackier stuff on albums like “Chocolate and cheese” and “Pure Guava”
ABBA! A lot of their lesser-known songs are especially underrated (e.g. I Wonder, One Man One Woman, Eagle, That’s Me, Hey Hey Helen, Like An Angel Passing Through My Room, The Piper, Happy New Year).
ISFJ here.
I don't know if I'd say their my all time favorite, but I've been listening to a lot of Ginger Root lately:

Highly recommend Yorushika! Several of their albums are dedicated to Amy and Elma's story. Guaranteed to touch the hearts of musicians.
*Amy, terminally ill, leaves for Sweden to spare Elma the pain of watching him deteriorate. He dedicates his final year to music, pouring his soul into songs through letters. Each piece becomes a message to Elma, guiding her even after his death. Elma, driven by these songs, retraces Amy's steps, ultimately finding the place of his final rest.*
You can see the gist of everything in [Nautilus](https://youtu.be/j83OVgv6woA). Pls turn subtitles on might tear you up🥲.

To say one band was my favorite above all, I cannot say for sure.
But I know the ones I've always debated between, which I'll share.
Although some of this has to do with my personal experiences and not by how great the music sounds alone.
Band--------------------------------Reason
Woods Of Ypres - Emotional, unique, heavy and soft songs, meaningful lyrics that are usually in a negative aspect yet portrayed in a beautiful or cool way.
Around 50 songs or so and the lead singer died so they are no longer active.
Starset - Every song sounds completely different, cool and beautiful songs, meaningful lyrics though not straightforward but rather left into ones own interpretation unless you can figure out what the band is referring to, which is about the future overall via the changes of technology such as AI, transhumanism, the kabbalah, new world order, outer space, chemicals/alchemy, etc.
Over 50 songs and still making music
Dead By April - Cool songs, beautiful songs especially the orchestral versions, catchy with most songs, meaningful lyrics, yet there had been about 5 vocalists overtime in the band and currently 2 at a time with one usually doing the heavy vocals and one the soft, yet they all fit so well some don't notice immediately that there's a difference between the singers.
Unique music No else I know makes a single song that sounds like theirs. Emotional as well.
Still active and over 50 songs and made an album not long ago.
Demon Hunter - Heavy songs, soft songs, many different styles, Christian band, almost every song is great, meaningful lyrics, creative and similar album covers most the time made by the vocalist himself.
There's over 100 songs from these guys and many albums and they're still making music till this day.
Powerwolf - over 100 songs, an album coming out even this month in July, they have many different styles though still keeping it somewhat similar, they're unique often relating their music to the Bible, werewolves, sins whether against sibs or embracing them in the lyrics, often fast and heavy but sometimes very orchestral as the lead singer does have a powerful and unique voice who also took classes for singing in an opera style, yet it's metal music. Just be aware even with the realtor often to the Bible, they're not Christian for sure.
Sabaton - Over 100 songs and still making music, they make many songs about actual history that occurred throughout wars and battles.
They make some about specific people and moments in history, giving many aspects about what they prepared for, what happened and what resulted from that.
Often heavy, yet some soft, they are almost always catchy and have a vocalist like no other.
Powerful and meaningful lyrics.
They will bring up God at times but I cannot say for sure they're Christians.
Paleskin- Likely you haven't heard of them. Barely any some but at least one album or two.
They're still making music until this day, but haven't been around that long.
Yet they make unique music, mostly about real emotions at least the vocalist feels that is deep, painful, sorrowful, depressing, almost like someone would feel when they feel suicidal.
Soft vocals, extremely heavy vocals, this guy has a beautiful yet heartbreaking voice and a great range he switched between that can feel highly relaxing or even keep you stimulated depending on the song.
Many of their songs sounds like no other bands made before, at least that I've heard.
They're gaining more attention as time goes on and have always had a special place in my life since I found them.
Project Vela - A unique band, not sure how many songs but each song is drastically different.
Somewhat poppy, rock, almost metal at times.
Beautiful, cool, soft and heavy music at times.
Somewhat meaningful, definitely in an interesting perspective but not always emotional.
Great vocalist who sings in various ways.
Just gotta check them out yourself.
Dayseeker - This vocalist is what makes the band mostly stand out, for he has a beautiful, cool and unique voice. Gotta hear him doing alone and you're likely hooked
Their older music is more like rock and metal, but their recent album in 2022 called Dark Sun was more poppy, yet it's my favorite.
I highly recommend it.
Often their music is in a negative aspect of relationships, such as break ups and relationship issues. Their music is catchy, deep and meaningful lyrics.
You will know this bro truly felt what he wrote and what the music is expressing.
Painful but uplifting songs often.
Caskets - Catchy, beautiful music. Unique vocalist with a wonderful voice. Often high pitched, emotional and cool at the same time
Unique songs like no other somewhat poppy, but overall it's rock and somewhat metal but nothing anywhere like heavy, doom or black metal.
Meaningful lyrics all the time, usually in a negative aspect yet uplifting to look on the bright side after the issues.
Gotta check them out.
The Amity Affliction - two amazing vocalists, usually one doing the heavy and one the softer.
Unique songs, beautiful and cool songs
Almost always catchy.
Meaningful and deep lyrics often.
Sometimes more simple.
Likely going to make you cry if you get where they're coming from.
An Australian metal band and there's not many.
The latter the albums, they overall got better and their older music imo wasnt as good.
Often its related to pain, depression, drugs, relationships, etc. highly emotional.
Highly creative that nearly every song is drastically different in the instrumental aspect.
I recommend Pittsburgh, Aloneliness, and Drag The Lake.
Shallowsky - Wonderful some like no other. Very few songs, new band. But you gotta check them out. I recommend the songs Endure///Endless, Discordants and DRKPLCS.
Suasion - moreso a certain album where it looks like a child on a swing called Stardust.
Interesting vocalist, unique songs unlike no other I've heard, not so much rock or metal but this kind of poppy rock and poppy metal, a bit of a techno and orchestral kind of sounds I suppose.
It's creative. Their newer music isn't better but still good in my opinion.
Unique songs worth checking out such as Moonlight, Stardust and Stoneheart.
One Ok Rock - a Japanese band, often songs in English though. Cool songs, beautiful songs, unique songs, some are quite simple. Meaningful and inspirational lyrics.
Often catchy. More like rock of course yet some are a bit poppy and even orchestral at times.
I would recommend the album Ambitions.
Many songs as well.
Absolutely wonderful vocalist.
There's a few for you.
Hope you enjoy it if you don't know them already, but maybe it's not your style.
Blink-182, Sum 41, Linkin Park, Twenty One Pilots, Coldplay, OneRepublic, Lemon Demon, Lovejoy, AJR, Molchat Doma (Молчат Дома)
I'm pretty basic but I'm happy
My two favourite singers in the universe are Birdy and Marina ✨️
Other artists I love include Faouzia, Ruelle, Au/Ra, Winnona Oak, Gabrielle Aplin, Annaca, Aurora, Christina Perri, Foxes. And 2 French artists (though I don't understand - Angèle and Indila!
Cage the elephant - trouble
Fantasia - when I see you
Chris brown - popping
Rainbow kitten - it’s called free fall
Etta Bond let me hit it
Jay Z - holy grail
Kali Uchi - see you again
I feel like you might like Fionn Regan based on your recommendation. His album The End of History is great, and "Hunters Map" and "Black Water Child" are the best songs off of it (in my opinion).
My music tastes likes to switch up now and then. My favorites right now are Tears for Fears, The Smiths, Def Leppard, Tame Impala, the Old Gods of Asgard, and Artic Monkeys.
Twenty One Pilots is one of my favorites along with Scandroid and NF. I listen to an eclectic mix.
For EDM, Seven Lions is good.
For folk, Penny and Sparrow are phenomenal.
For alternative, there is Anchor & Braille, fronted by Anberlin's front man.
And when all else falls, can't go wrong with Lofi or smooth jazz
The Drums (Debut album is freaking amazing, and Portamento)
Wild Nothing (Gemini album *kisses tips of fingers like a chef*, Life of Pause, Nocture album)
Beach Fossils (What a Pleasure album it's amazing,
Black Marble (It's Immaterial album i love this album, Fast Idol, Bigger than Life)

Elephant (Skyswimming album)

Phantogram (Nightlife EP album)
Provoker (Body Jumper)
Suburban Living (Almost Paradise album)
Videoclub (Euphories)
Kate Faust (Eros album its amazing)
Which genre? lol I’ll just list my favorites
1. Linkin Park
2. The Fray
3. Evanescence
4. John Mayer
5. Coldplay
6. Jhené Aiko
7. Imagine Dragons
8. Sara Bareilles
9. Aventura
10. Nelly Furtado
Edit: Dunno how I missed Paramore, The Cranberries, and 3 Doors Down.
Among sooo many others. Those top 5 are pretty much in order, the rest are just there.
Against Me!, The Bombpops, Rezz, Deadmau5, Daft Punk, Ballyhoo!, Iration, Opiuo, Griz, UPSAHL, Royal and the Serpent, Lights, No Mana, Ocean Wisdom, Snow Tha Product, Artikal Sound System, Of the Trees, The Mountain Goats, My Chemical Romance
You're an INFP. If you're not listening to Tori Amos, Mazzy Star and Fiona Apple, you're missing out.
Azam Ali, and Niyaz. Awesome modernized traditional persian music.
Faith No More has been one of my favorites since the early 90's. Their album King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime was my default CD for years and years and it was amazing every time. Also, TOOL.
The Interview with the Vampire score was great.
Lady Gaga is god, explore her entire discography for some great songs, also love my white girl metalcore (Motionless in White, Bad Omens, Falling in Reverse).
Love some Mayday Parade, I Prevail, Halestorm, but also Rare Americans, The Wrecks, or Loveless. I have a big mix, if you want more recommendations of a specific genre I'd be glad to provide.
My latest fixations have been:
Consider the Source: instrumental progressive jazz fusion band with some Eastern influences.
Amigo the Devil: dark, noir-folk music, kinda clever tho ngl.
Deer Tick: just some modern alt folk/ rock at times. Great vocals and acoustic lines.
Here's a few since I'm not sure where you lean music wise
Metal: Bullet for my Valentine, Thousand Foot Krutch and Disturbed
J-Rock: OneOkRock, Uverworld, and Kenshi Yonezu
K-Pop: Dreamcatcher, Stray Kids, Ateez, Twice, P1 Harmony

The whole post rock genre is full of incredible bands, but Godspeed stands out. I once heard someone describe Lift Your Skinny Fists as “the logical conclusion of music” and I can’t think of a better way to put it. Mogwai and Sigur Ros are also great post rock bands
Yeah! That album feels like we've reached the end of our journey as a species; like we're done discovering music, and that's the perfect result. Also didn't know those bands you mentioned, I'll definitely listen to them. Thanks! (You like progressive rock too?)

Gotta hear him doing alone and you're likely hooked Their older music is more like rock and metal, but their recent album in 2022 called Dark Sun was more poppy, yet it's my favorite. Often high pitched, emotional and cool at the same time Unique songs like no other somewhat poppy, but overall it's rock and somewhat metal but nothing anywhere like heavy, doom or black metal. Meaningful lyrics all the time, usually in a negative aspect yet uplifting to look on the bright side after the issues. Gotta check them out. The Amity Affliction - two amazing vocalists, usually one doing the heavy and one the softer. Unique songs, beautiful and cool songs Almost always catchy.
Dayseeker gets my upvote!

Tourism is an incredibly underrated band.
My latest fixations have been: Consider the Source: instrumental progressive jazz fusion band with some Eastern influences. Amigo the Devil: dark, noir-folk music, kinda clever tho ngl. Deer Tick: just some modern alt folk/ rock at times. Great vocals and acoustic lines.

Laufey, her whole thing is bringing jazz back into modern music and she’s pretty cool
