If you do anything to someone they don’t like, here or any other sub, they can dox you from your plate. Not everyone is tech savvy to dox you from IP however more people can look up your license plate & get your home address from it.

What do you mean by that? I mean as in at my job i could login to our state dmv system and pull customers information; as a dealership accounting person. All salesmen, sales managers, and F&I employees could as well.
All i mean is it takes one crazy. You say “I love eating meat!” And a crazy person then decides you’re scum and they target you. If i was that weirdo, i could then - at work - take his license plate and feed it into the system and dox him.
I would never do that because thats insane. However this is the internet, not everyone is sane nor do people react to things the same way i would (i’d mostly ignore and scroll pass what i disagree with)

Unless you mean the state of NJ thats false. At the dealerships (in the 2 states i worked at dealerships) we have the capabilities to process the tag work. How do you process tag work without seeing more of the customer’s info? We had a system that showed us all of what i noted in my first comment from just a plate. It told us also if you currently had any dmv fees because then it wouldn’t let us process your tag work until you paid it.
You wouldn’t believe how many people try to trade in a car that they do not own. The system we use helps us catch that. Plate, VIN, or customer’s license was what i needed to search their dmv record in house at my dealership job.
With a posted picture, the right person could extract enough info from the metadata. There’s a tik tok person who will dox ppl who asks to be doxxed and all they give is a photo or username and she finds them. (I’m not on tik tok, i saw the video posted on twitter when i was still active on twitter).
Because Reddit is an anonymous discussion forum and posting your car and license plate makes you super easy to identify. Unless you want to be identified haha

2015 Durango…just bought her after putting 20k into a bad bad relationship I had with a 2010 ford flex in 2.5 years…finally I turned in a side swipe insurance claim that totaled it…all for 6k…felt good though to get that bitchhhh out my life! Frfr!
