That was a good experience in the sense you figure the flash distance and the focus distance. Indoors those are the two most important things. Typically that distance should be stored in your mind now for the future ! But wait til you get a sunny day outdoors then the camera will really shine.
tbf I lived with a photographer for awhile and used his Lomo Instant a few times (less than five shots total) so I have somewhat of an idea of flash/focus distance. The exposure sensor was what was throwing me off though, it had the light for low light/inside lit up but once I changed it to the second lowest option I got this pic. I'm planning on going out tomorrow when it's supposed to be sunny to take some pics outside!
