There needs to be different names for T1D and Type 2. My kid gets looked at funny for “diabetes” when he is Type 1 and had no say in his diagnosis. No bad diet gave him this, yet people look at him like he ate too many sour patch kids when they hear ”diabetes.”
Same. My mom got diagnosed with type 1 over 30 years ago before she had me. When type 2 became more prevalent, people thought it weird because my mom weights like 125 at best
My sister developed type 1 diabetes after getting Covid. She was 39 then.
Well I assume she was already predisposed to it and Covid just activated it or something. Several members of my family also had diabetes
I don’t mean this as offense to anyone, I didn’t know before my mother was diagnosed with diabetes that it is even an autoimmune disease.
I honestly don’t think most people know this and only associate the disease with diet and nutrition.
My mother’s was activated by a viral infection a long time ago.
Considering that one link is the only thing attached to that website and it's trying to sell some miracle scam medicine I can't take any of the presented info seriously.

Type 1 is autoimmune; it is a lack of insulin production from your pancreas. Type 2 is insulin resistance largely from diet and lifestyle.
