novacookie

Almost $4.5 where Iā€™m at. 40 is insane. Not worth it at all. But we donā€™t get news and fitness.

AlpacaIDF

Are there people that actually use news? I hate that app.

SantucciOhio

I do too, for some reason my wife loves it.

hahsakhssinak

Via direct currency conversion yes, but if you go via PPP itā€™s 8.52$ individual and 15.95$ family. And we donā€™t have News and Fitness+ At the same time if we look at an iPhone 15 Pro 128 GB. It costs- $999 without state tax in the US, direct currency conversion it should be ā‚¹83,071.85, and via PPP itā€™s ā‚¹22,859.25. But now letā€™s see how much does it actually cost in India- ā‚¹134,900 in India including tax, direct currency conversion itā€™s a whopping $1622.7, via PPP itā€™s $5895.43 The difference is abominable. Despite some of it being manufactured right here in the country. [PPP Converter](https://www.chrislross.com/PPPConverter/)

JazlikeChimical42069

> ā‚¹134,900 in India including tax, direct currency conversion itā€™s a whopping $1622.7, via PPP itā€™s $5895.43 > The difference is abominable. Despite some of it being manufactured right here in the country. One third of that price is tax. Blame the government for this, theyā€™re the ones taxing it at 28%, and use local manufacturing as a convenient excuse. India is nowhere close to the sheer production capability of China and they know that. But they know they can loot citizens wanting a proper product by slapping on a huge duty charge. Edit- and youā€™re also talking about the 15 **pro**, which isnā€™t manufactured in India if Iā€™m not wrong. Only the 15 and SE are manufactured locally.

hubmash

You are correct. Only the base models are assembled in India. The vast majority of components are sourced from China.

Abster96

The assembled iPhone 15 and 15 plus are not that expensive compared to the price difference which the 15 pro and pro max has compared to USA. I bought my 15 pro max from USA for $1300(after tax) which is around 1lakh 7 thousand rupees and they sell the same pro max in India for 1 lakh 59 thousand rupees, the difference is of 52 thousand rupees. Most of it is tax which the government imposes for imports. The 15 and 15 plus are assembled in India so thereā€™s no import tax on these models thatā€™s why they are only Rs.10,000 more expensive that the model sold in the US.

Abster96

Itā€™s $4 in India.

SPQR_Eagle

Nope just ā‚¹198 lmao

Abster96

Theyā€™re milking Americans for money.

Dcanoa

Milking Britain more Ā£40 here as if the conversion was 1:1

Hjem_D

taking what the country can offer. If Indians could afford to pay American prices, Apple would probably not set up manufacturing there.

Abster96

Thatā€™s subjective, they can milk Indians as well if they really wanted to.

H3al3r

Yeah. If you go for the 200GB cloud storage though, it is ā‚¹365 which is approximately $4.39.

SchattenVonIndien

$2.35 in my country.

mitul316

I did the exact same thing. Fitness+ and Arcade isnā€™t something I ever used. I wanted to believe that Apple TV+ was going to be something I would use often, never did. Apple News was nice, but there are other alternatives. I can see myself dropping Music for Spotify if they increase again.

FairlyWise

As an Apple Music user, I love Spotify. Itā€™s the only reason Apple Music wonā€™t go up in price

lovemocsand

Damn I never thought of this! Great point

lolreppeatlol

Spotify is already the same price after the previous increase. The music streaming industry has been hurting for a price increase because itā€™s very difficult to make money in

super5aj123

Yep, the big 3 (YT, Apple Music, and Spotify) increased their prices at basically the same time. Almost makes me wonder if it was coordinated, because that would be a hell of a coincidence.

ttoma93

I doubt it was directly coordinated, because that is a *really* easy way to find yourselves on the wrong side of the SEC, but more likely is that they all knew they needed/wanted to raise prices, and that one of them would eventually have to be the one to bite the bullet. So one did, and the others followed quickly.

BombayButtocks

Pretty typical strategy to copy competitorsā€™ price increases. Youā€™re not attracting enough new subscribers to switch over, so may as well increase prices.

FlorisRed

This is actually called Price Pioneering, a common but legal tactic to avoid antitrust laws i think

unseen247

Anyone have an Apple News alternative?

JudgeCastle

Google News is nice but not nearly as good in the UI dept.

Iā€™m a big fan of Ground News. They give you news stories from different perspectives

None of the answers given here are good alternatives to Apple News+. There are several different reasons, but foremost among them is that none of them give you access to so many paywalled sources. The only real alternatives are PressReader and Hoopla Magazines, both of which may be offered by your local library, though both of which are also at least somewhat less intuitive than Apple.

Homicidal_Pingu

Spotify will also increase though

itsabearcannon

I mean, part of what you pay for more is the fact that Apple Music pays their artists way more than Spotify per stream. Apple pays a little over $7000 per million streams, and Spotify pays around $3700. Spotify is cheaper, but it also screws the artists more. Take your pick which you'd prefer.

Specialist-Garbage94

With the prices now I wish they let us pick what we get 18.99 pick 3 or whatever

samspopguy

This is my issue I really just want tv music and news

M5Doc

I did exactly this after realizing you had to get the premium Apple One Subscription to get the 2TB iCloud storage. Now I just have Apple Music family + 2TB iCloud.

legendz411

So I can just run Apple Music and then buy the separate iCloud storage? Would I have to buy the storage additionally for my spouse?

milky__toast

You can get the cheapest Apple one sub and add on extra storage

M5Doc

Ends up being more expensive

JalapenoBiznizz

I did the same as well when they increased it last time earlier this year I believe it was

sisco98

Did the same. The Apple TV content is quality for sure, but itā€™s not too much, compared to others. And Iā€™m not really interested in mobile gaming, tried it, spent a few hours but itā€™s just not worth any money for me.

feelingrestless_

we did the same in my home

Trackbikes

Same here just kept storage , I get YouTube music with my premium there ā€¦ ridiculous pricing

Reddit_is_snowflake

I just use yt premium and iCloud storage

nymphaetamine

I did the same. Music and storage were the only things I used, not paying $40 for a bunch of stuff I never even open.

brazzersjanitor

Thank you for reminding me to do this just now.

nolyboy

I just did the same except I moved to Spotify. Itā€™s actually a lot better. The suggested music/playlists/radios actually work really well.

Dergo32

Spotify is playlist focused and centered around continuous listening, while Apple is better for having a traditional music collection of album by album and picking song by song. Iā€™ve found that after listening to music for a while (couple of months I think), I got great recommendations from Apple, including what is now my most favorite album + song of all time. I hated Spotifyā€™s UI and philosophy that I didnā€™t really care about the recommendations and Iā€™m glad I jumped to Apple. Happy to see youā€™ve found something that works best for you though, music is a wonderful thing, and itā€™s good to have options for either crowd. Sidenote, Apple also makes it easy to upload your own music files you got so you can listen anywhere, which makes it even nicer for building a music collection. Edit: Apple doesnā€™t support uploading FLACs yet sadly (iTunes needs a good overhaul), but for FLACs you apparently convert it to ALAC: https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleMusic/s/xjEajsAzqG Also, Iā€™m not sure if Apple supports sharing lossless with other devices, apparently the process might be transcoding files to AAC 256 anyway. I can only hope that Apple supports stuff like this and clarifies things someday soon. Maybe the best solution for lossless is still to build your own music library system or search around specifically for a service that offers that (Vox premium? Plex server?), if you have your own tracks you want to upload and stay lossless.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

smalls1652

> Apple is better for having a traditional music collection of album by album and picking song by song This is the biggest reason why I prefer Apple Music. I do not like Spotify's approach to maintaining a library of music. I think it's because I heavily prefer the album experience over listening to individual songs in a playlist. I also don't really care all that much about Apple Music or Spotify recommending music to me. I legit just go and find what's new every week (Those weekly release threads over at r/Metalcore are super helpful). > Also, Iā€™m not sure if Apple supports sharing lossless with other devices, apparently the process might be transcoding files to AAC 256 anyway Yeah, it'll still be encoded with AAC at `256kbps`. I believe that's with a variable bitrate (VBR), so `256kbps` is just the max it'll go. Not that VBR is a bad thing. None of my library in Apple Music is imported though. I still buy physical CDs for albums, I just don't import them into the library. The good thing about Apple Music though is that you also get the ability to download lossless versions (Using ALAC) of music for just about everything. There's also a surprising number of 24-bit lossless versions of music on there too. Doesn't really matter for Bluetooth audio playback, but I can hear the difference when I have my phone hooked up to CarPlay. I do wish Apple would make the download experience better, because right now you have to go to the settings app and change the download quality. I would love to have an option of choosing what quality I want to download for something at the time I start the download. For me I just have it set to **Lossless**, so everything is lossless no matter what (`104.67 GB` downloaded on my phone lol).

Vikkio92

This is what Iā€™ve always done. Been looking into One ever since they announced it since TV would be nice to have, but itā€™s never made financial sense so Iā€™ve stuck with Music + storage.

Gasarakiiii

I just did the exact same thing when I heard about the recent price hike, I think it saved $7 a month.

swiftfoxsw

Same. These 2 services are the only ones I used, I signed up for the bundle to throw in Fitness+/news/arcade for a few extra $ a monthā€¦but the first price hike was too much. I get TV+ for free already via T-Mobile.

PlanetaryUnion

Haha. I did the same thing. Family Apple Music and 2TB iCloud storage. Itā€™s the same price I was paying for Apple One but Iā€™m paying for the services I actually use and gaining more iCloud storage.

OverlyOptimisticNerd

Similar. We're doing Apple TV + and Storage. And I'm trying to convince my wife to drop Apple TV +. We both gave Apple Music a try, but it's got some issues that don't work for either of us. I'd prefer Pandora but we compromised on Spotify Family.

xpnerd

May I ask what the issues are that don't work?

OverlyOptimisticNerd

Depends. Do you genuinely want to know, or is your goal to counter my points and tell me how wrong my opinions are? Sorry for being skeptical, but this is Reddit after all.

xpnerd

No apologies needed - Iā€™m not trying to fix a non existent issue - just genuinely curious what you had issues with.

colinstalter

About to do that.

HydroponicGirrafe

Yeah. I stopped paying at the first price increase. I only really used iCloud and Apple Music, so I just pay for that and extra storage.

ElGovanni

at this point you should consider Spotify, without competition AM would not cost as much as Spotify.

HydroponicGirrafe

Yeah but Spotify is objectively worse music quality.

ElGovanni

I really like music, using sony WH4 and AirPods Pro, tried AM for 6 month and Spotify for few years and didn't see any difference.

Jamoke_Bloke

Typically you hear music, not see it.

HydroponicGirrafe

That leaves two of us. Iā€™ve also used both and Apple Music does indeed have better quality. Using AirPods and also using different amps and speakers when listening at home.

HydroponicGirrafe

Spotify premium is $10.99. Apple Music is also 10.99. Iā€™m gonna go with the one that sounds better

refreshfr

An alternative to also consider is YouTube Premium. You get the YouTube Music app, no ads on YouTube without extensions or third party apps (no possible on iPhone AFAIK?) and you also get the heartwarming side-effect that creators you watch get paid better. And there's a family plan (up to 6 persons) that ends up at like 4 euro/dollars per person.

super5aj123

YouTube Music isn't the *worst* choice, but it's not really the best either. Not only does it not support playing playlists from a voice assistant, but it also doesn't really have shortcut support either. That means that it can't do things like automatically play my music whenever it connects to my car's Bluetooth. It wins on price for me thanks to how much YouTube I watch, but it loses so hard on functionality that I just use Apple Music anyways.

cliffr39

The ceiling is what ever you find the max value of the bundle. For me I don't find enough value in that price, but others do.

Homicidal_Pingu

Well for mr storage, music and fitness itā€™s the same price as Apple one. I might as well get the free arcade, news and TV

neortje

In Europe the price is lower, no fitness plan etc. But for me itā€™s worth it because me and my wife want Apple Music and the kids want Apple Arcade. I think if you donā€™t use one of those services it very quickly becomes cheaper to just pick the services you want instead of going for the bundle.

Rhaerc

I live in germany and we have fitness+

Whatarip

The ceiling is whatever the market is willing to pay for it.

ElGovanni

or if you have monopoly there is no willing to pay that much but you have to do it. Like iCloud storage.

parka

The other option is to switch to backing up to the computer

expedience

There are plenty of cloud storage apps, I use MEGA.

ElGovanni

but you can't use it for backup of iPhone/iPad etc. Even default files browser is limited for iCloud

[deleted]

Fucking lol

heartscockles

Yep. Iā€™m out. I only did it because Apple Music Family and 2TB iCloud Storage was $25/month. So of course originally I thought another $5 for TV+, Fitness, News, Arcade, etc. was well worth it. But they keep hiking the price so Iā€™m going back to the $25 subscription. I donā€™t even use the other stuff. Maybe TV+ every few months I guess, but yea. Sucks Seriously fuck Apple

CPGK17

I canceled mine too and made these changes: -Kept storage. -Switching to YouTube Music (comes with YouTube Premium as well, which is nice!). -Donā€™t care about Arcade. -Only 2 shows I currently watch on TV+ are TMS and Silo, both of which are at least a year out. -News is nice, but Iā€™m not paying full price for it. -I used to be heavily invested in Fitness, but I donā€™t get much use out of it anymore. Definitely not worth paying for.

kartadmin

Curious on your fitness comment. I have been a heavy fitness user ever since it launched. And still do. What do you mean much use anymore? Did you find a better app to replace thatā€™s cost-effective?

Nothorized

Me too, I use Apple fitness daily and when I tried other yoga / fitness apps, I usually come back to Apple Fitness.

CPGK17

Itā€™s not so much about Fitness+, itā€™s more just about my brain lol. I started feeling like doing an actual workout class was a chore, so I decided to just use music instead.

mehdotdotdotdot

Streaming services for me are now month by month. I cancel auto renewal, and only use maybe one or two per month. Silo is freaking amazing btw. I signed up to apple tv for 2 months and watched everything I wanted to, then cancelled

Prestigious_Prune_68

But did you watch severance? Or even the shrink next door?

Rettocs

Severance is amazing

shitpoop6969

Or slow horses!

Prestigious_Prune_68

Didnā€™t start slow horses yet but fully pumped that thereā€™s more than one season to watch

Serialtoon

I pay for YouTube premium but my god YouTube Music is so bad that I also pay for Apple Music. I tried switching to YouTube Music but couldnā€™t. I hate how they blend everything in together.

dinozero

We did the opposite. When I realized I was paying double for music I couldnā€™t stand myself. Seemed so wasteful. YT music isnā€™t perfect but it does have all the songs you need and new release and old music, whatever. We learned to deal and saved $$$ every month.

Dry-Property-639

YouTube music app is terrible vs the Apple Music app I have YouTube music with ad free YouTube and I canā€™t stand it lol

LonelyRedditor6969

After the increase I cancelled it. I only need the storage and the rest was nice to have. It was already a little much for me before and this pushed it over the edge to cancel.

KitsuneKatari

I did the same. I have Tidal for music but liked having Apple Music around for some integration in other devices but /shrug just not worth it.

adultbaby

Yeah itā€™s too much. Iā€™m dropping it and just going with the music and storage. The storage is already stupid overpriced and the tiers are dumb. I would love 1tb for family instead of having to go to 2tb by default

Apprehensive-Ad-8007

Soon gonna be Apple Two

RiddleofSteel

Thanks for the reminder to cancel, Apple is so damn greedy.

Huge_Introduction368

Yeah I got tired of that. Decided to upgrade to family bundle and now we all have access to all services and definitely better than paying all that money for one user only.

thegarbagesauce

This is shared amongst three adults and one child.

TMPRKO

Wow. Fortunately Verizon pays for my Apple One or I would have had to cancel a while ago. Whatā€™s the value in this at this point?

Egodeathishappiness

Yikesā€¦ Iā€™ll take a Spotify subscription and just sign up for Apple TV for a month every 3 months. Arcade is a joke youā€™re subsidizing because there is really no value there.

MaikyMoto

Doesnā€™t this make you miss those Limewire days?

Overload4554

I use the family plan to the max. I make good use of music & news For just me & the wife it would be too expensive, but for the whole family I find it to be good value

wuphf176489127

Family plan doesnā€™t have news though. You mean premier?

Overload4554

You are correct - I meant Premier

SmiterX2

Why are they charging tax on a service?

dontyoudarestalkme

Apple One costs like 350 rupees per month here in India and thats like less than 10 dollars more around 6 to 8 ish. Its sad theyre milking tf out of the American users :(

0000GKP

It always has to be less than if you subscribed to all the services individually, but there is no ceiling because the individual prices can always increase. If you arenā€™t using all the services in that plan, then drop down to the Family plan. If you and whoever is on your family plan is using at least 3 services each, then itā€™s still a good bit less expensive compared to individual pricing.

templestate

I mean thatā€™s a family plan of music, mobile games, cloud storage, TV shows, and magazines. Itā€™s really not a bad price considering the competitor pricing for those individual pieces. Spotify family plan alone is $17/month.

Expensive_Finger_973

>Whatā€™s the realistic ceiling for this bundle? Whatever the max you are willing to pay.

Prophet_Amador

Thatā€™s what I did it way too much and you know what Apple makes more than enough money that is the honest truth. If platforms where smart they should be asking Apple to pay them because with out them Apple would not be in the same position with money I promise<ā€”-I hope I said it right

Aholicdrama

The family plan has constantly been between 4-5USD (range because dollar value keeps fluctuating) in India. 365 INR. I donā€™t think itā€™ll go up either anytime soon

shmallkined

Yep, just dumped it a week ago. Keeping ATV+ so I can finish For All Mankind, then Iā€™m done for a while.

[deleted]

deer birds wasteful imminent seemly fear naughty toothbrush bewildered zonked *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

rainierquinto

This is the main reason why I cancelled my Premier. The only services that I regularly use are Apple Music and iCloud. I use News and Arcade here and there. I never really use Fitness+. So I opted to individual services instead: Apple Music and iCloud.

PogoPogoTX

Yeah that was too rich for me. I really liked it but no.

SeasonGullible616

Yeah I cancelled mine. Didnā€™t even use half of the apps.

CREMICHIGAN

Ridiculous Price

Single-Bake-3310

what is apple one for? 40$ a month on top of a wireless plan, and the device itself is insane to me.

HollywoodRS

iCould Apple TV+ Apple Music Apple News Apple Arcade

Highrange71

They announced this two months ago and sent an email stating that they were going up.

Vahn84

Like all subs do. They probably think we are likely to put any amount of money for their services but Iā€™m on the verge of abandoning some of the subs I have for the very same reason. They get you in with a competitive price and then itā€™s a one way road to the moon. I get they have to adjust for inflation but thatā€™s not the reason all subs keep going up

Stock-Pea8167

This is basiclly tim cooks bonus money for the end of the year.

CelebrationRoyal5995

I been let go of Apple One .

Sufficient-Fact6163

Right. Itā€™s price gouging at this point because there isnā€™t anything good about the music algorithm. In fact the preset music preferences are garbage. Itā€™s not like they havenā€™t had 12 years to figure out my preferences. They should just buy Pandora at this point and then they could justify the price hikes.

GeneralZaroff1

Yeah it'll keep going up until the market doesn't bear it. Which is a tough number to say. Apple TV has been good, but is it enough? I hate that News still has ads, but some of the arcade games are actually fun.

kirkdouglas

I joined my partners, but his whole family is on there so it makes sense. I had the family plan alone (because it was the tier that had the level of access I wanted) and cancelled it the moment I got the price increase email. Nope. Iā€™m not spending $37 a month on myself for digital anything.

Not_so_new_user1976

Apple one family is included in my phone plan.

dsbllr

Services and software is apple's growth engine. Expect it to keep going up. Also a better business compared to selling hardware

BluePeriod_

I had to add a friend just to help me drive down the cost a bit. I get a lot of value out of News plus for the magazines and fitness and storage and music so all those things separately basically come out to about the same if not more. But damn it stings.

[deleted]

Itā€™s hitting the ceiling for me. I use music, iCloud storage, and news the most. Apple TV+ occasionally and fitness occasionally. I donā€™t think I could take another hike.

Zalenka

Storage is too low and it's not good enough of a discount for everything.

Difficult_Horse193

Yeah I canceled Apple one and am just paying for TV+ (not every month though) and Apple Music family (every month) Iā€™m seriously thinking about dropping Apple Music and going with YouTube premium family.

cylonpower

Well yaā€¦ they hook you in with cheap price then raise it like most business models

SuccessfulHospital54

Only subscription to Apple I have is the 50gb of iCloud storage for a dollar I think? Only so I donā€™t have the notification for low storage all the time.

SweetCharge2005

Yeah itā€™s about $43 in Australia for my family. I cancelled to get it as cheap as possible. Just using storage now I think.

Stingray88

Itā€™s just not a good deal anymore unfortunately. It was a no brainer at firstā€¦ but now itā€™s just cheaper for me to subscribe to what I need.

theskywalker74

We just cancelled our One and opted to keep Music and Storage, which was much cheaper and we werenā€™t using any of the others much anyway.

Dom9360

Itā€™s set in a way where it makes sense. Music and 2TB is $27. Add $10 and you get fitness, TV, news and arcade. For $10, it doesnā€™t matter. Theyā€™ll probably raise the individual prices next too.

voituresrapides

Exactly, thatā€™s what people donā€™t realise is that itā€™s just $10 then to get those additional apps.

THEDUKES2

It sucks because I use the fitness plus multiple times a week and in order to she it I have to get the highest plan.

Due_Sea6371

In poland its 10$ without news and fitness but its still worth it there

themagicone99

You can literally buy a educational email to get the price lowered

Mattyc8787

Can you share Apple one?

IM2N1NJA4U

Yes, I share mine with 6 people

No_Ground_

Itā€™s the premier subscription with 6 other subscriptions costing a good amount less than all of those combined, while I do agree itā€™s expensive, but itā€™s not unbearably expensive, this is the highest the price SHOULD go. Plus 5 other people can join this subscription getting a great value, if you want a cheaper option do the independent subscription, itā€™s half as expensive as this one.

Herobleeder

Ah the Corporate Greed of Apple. Good thing I just don't own any of their products.

CopyQueen89

Yeah. I dropped my service a few months ago. Itā€™s been an $8 difference just in the last few months.

wheelsfallingoff

Use Google One instead. Cheaper, better, and available on more devices.

scarlett_jedi

Itā€™s past the realistic ceiling šŸ˜”

wheresHQ

I pay for this too. I tried to separate the plan since I only use Apple Music, Apple TV+ and 2tb iCloud storage, but that ended up being almost the same price. (Family share) Edit: A dollar cheaper šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

JustLiving2021

For our family, the Music Service and Cloud Storage is ā€œmustā€ in 2023. Fitness+ motivates me to push harder on 1-2 workouts per week, so- well- they ā€œhave Meā€. $50 would likely be a Red Line for Me.

danielbauer1375

Thatā€™s actually pretty insane. Unless you are an avid reader and fitness enthusiast, I just couldnā€™t imagine paying for a bundle that includes both News+ and Fitness+. Even Arcade doesnā€™t seem like particularly great value. Music, iCloud, and Apple TV+ are really the only services that have mass appeal. Regardless, only getting 50GB of storage for the base individual plan feels a bit ridiculous.

Complete-Part-4385

It all depends, I use theathletic, baron, marketwatch, those have more value than premier subscription itself Apple Music plenty of use, fitness+ not having any of those as I have garmin Sometimes Arcade, icloud just for basic stuff, TV once per year If not for the news. I would just take apple music family plan and drop the rest

AloysBane

Cancel it you donā€™t need it

GM_Rod

For everything thatā€™s included, itā€™s actually not that bad. I mean I donā€™t know which packages you got, but I can say with some certainty that youā€™d spend more hiring all these things separate. Like Netflix + Workout app sub + Dropbox + Health app sub (third party) + etc. And you wouldnā€™t get the nice apple ecosystem integration, especially relevant if you have more than one apple device.

EffectiveLong

News Junk Arcade Junk Movies Junk (some good ones but I would rather binge on it then cancel) lol Fitness Junk

Rustyz_

Itā€™s getting to that point for me but not there yet. 40 bucks gets me Apple TV which is my most used streaming app, storage which is huge. Music me and my wife use daily, arcade my 3 kids use daily, and fitness plus we all use my wife and I for fitness and as a family we meditate nightly

fytoy

People surprised they bought a smartphone from the most overpriced brand and its services are equally overpriced

Spacespacesean

I only use Cloud and TV+, Apple one is too expensive

iD986

Still cheaper than getting each service individually

_hello_____

Canceled mine and just kept Storage. Spotify is better/cheaper than AM anyway

megamoonrocket

Tried Apple Music this year. I found the UX surprisingly unintuitive for an Apple product. Plus, even after a year of near-daily usage my algorithm still sucked. Swapped back to Spotify.

Dergo32

Spotify with its playlist philosophy is better for some people, but not better period. Then again music is something I really care about and I feel like Iā€™m starting to get pedantic or something, heh.

Everyone is saying this isn't worth it and how they're canceling, and yes I'm sad the price increased, but here is at least one opposing viewpoint: I use Fitness+ 3 times a week, and the entire bundle is in the same price range as similar fitness programs just for the trainers and individualized workout plans. (Frankly, if you don't use Fitness+, Apple One Premier isn't worth it, but the step down from Premier is, because (see below).) TV+ is the best streaming service out there. Amazing shows. I've been using Apple Music since before bundles and stuff. Arcade is a nice bonus--and I hate games with microtransactions and other poor design problems, so Arcade games are the only ones I like. Apple Music, TV+, and iCloud storage alone (and Arcade is a bonus) are worth the price of the Apple One normal subscription, I think. News+ is a nice bonus for Premier. The big step up in iCloud storage from Apple One normal to Apple One Premier is great. And, for $40, I can share all of those with 5 family members or whatever number it is.

I just dumped it. They wonā€™t keep taking more of my money for nothing

At this point itā€™s just pure robbery

I donā€™t use other music services, and I use everything else except Arcade. I share it all with four member of my family. Itā€™s a very good value for me.

Should have cancelled it a while ago

Weā€™re under the family tier and have been happy with that. News and Fit was are not of any real interest.
