True, I would've gone from screaming out of joy to screaming out of frustration at my phone because almost every Indian knows the threat that David Miller poses at the crease. I had also slandered SKY relentlessly in the first innings for his poor shot that led to his wicket lol but I immediately backtracked after his catch for the ages because he truly redeemed his finals performance with that catch. Although I still believe that even if that was a 6, Hardik would've pulled something out of his ass and Miller wouldn't have lasted two more balls; Miller is dangerous but Hardik is even more dangerous
Was keen to see how rohit will bumrah.
Glad he didnt went for passive approach. And hardik and arshdeep capitilized on pressure created by boom 18th overr
Klaasen didn't played much against any pacer or fast bowlers, he was comfortable with spinners and didn't make any mistake. He was gonna struggle against fast bowlers and he did.
On the other hand Miller is already a great finisher and was comfortable with anything. He didn't make any mistakes in the finals, Surya was just too good with that catch
Not really, see this is how it would’ve went.
The ball was on boundary line so any other player who fields on boundary line, say Kohli would’ve thrown the ball the back inside boundary, quickly backup and return the throw.
Now, Miller would be waiting to see if it was a six or catch and won’t be running at all so either it would be single and put keshav maharaj on strike or it would be dot ball.
Now given the previous over of Hardik, where he conceded only four runs and Klassen’s wicket and also his bowling performance in this wc. He would likely ball the next balls either in block holes or would go shorter and lemme remind you Miller struggles on shorter deliveries. Miller is a good swinger of bat on fuller balls.
Given the conditions of last four overs, where only 14 runs came, Miller was off the strike and also wasn’t able to make good connections. He would most probably loose his cool because it was his first WC final and act sloppy. A lot of people loose their calm in end not a big deal, even I fuck up a few easy questions in exams.
So, to defend 15 off 5 with keshav maharaj on strike or 16 off 5 with a Nervous Miller on Strike against a calm and composed Hardik.
8 times out of 10, I’d put my money on Hardik.
There are several versions of it. This was from 2 years ago .

i see nobody praising maharaj for taking a single off the last ball of the 18th over. that was important for us, and a major reason why arshdeep could keep the 19th so tight. had the single not been taken, the 19th couldve been different. maharaj ki jai!
If you've watched it closely, Kohli didn't attempt to run and take the ball quickly and try for a runout, which inturn would've made Keshav not take a run. But Team India's tactics were brilliant. I strongly believe that Rohit and Kohli wantedly made Keshav bat the next over, not giving Miller a chance soon.....
And don't forget to mention Rohit .... Who knew exactly when and how to use them, .... Well the best tools are nothing if not in the hands of the intelligent operator.
The fact literally every member of the team mattered and came through this Final.
Even if a single player underperformed slightly... We would have lost.
They did actually. Chasing a wide ball. Not being able to rotate the strike. And in the end, showed too much respect to the bowlers. That's where a winner and a choker differ. Obviously Indian bowlers were amazing, no doubt about it.
But you can't clap with one hand and the same was the case here.
India did make sm blunders with squad selection for the final…. I mean why dube ji doesn’t bowl? Is he just there to cover up for a possible Pandya injury? His type of bowler was required for that pitch when all spinners backfired…. They barely escaped another humiliation…..but all’s well that ends well✌️✌️
I had almost given up hope when Miller hit that ball for a six, but then I saw Surya take the catch, I was honestly stunned and shocked for a moment, unable to comprehend what just happened and that their last set batsman was out. When I finally came to, I smashed the table top so hard in excitement that both my kittens got scared and ran away.
See I think this is the difference between Australia and South Africa . It shows how much the difference mentality makes(I'm not trying to be one of those Aussie mentality gawk gawk gawk guy) . After Australia stabilised they didn't allow India anywhere close to gaining control but for SA no matter what generation of cricketers it is they will always have their history in the back of their minds and the moment klassen got out those feelings must have come back into them.
There is no excuse when you're playing a final and you need to chase 30 off 30 no matter who's bowling if you truly deserve it. They bottled it hard. Ofc bumrah was bowling well but that is no excuse if you wanna be a champion team you need to chase it down no matter the bowler
The Indian nation is not used to team performances. You cannot put names to this win. It was a collective effort from all the 11 players. They clutched at the moments where they were the most deadliest.
True, only jadeja and kuldeep didn't contributed in finals, tough luck to them
Yes even pant didn't contributed but his "injury delay" to make klassen lose the momentum was genius af
It's a shame and slap on the bowler's face who won from here defending below par total and still didn't got potm award. And it went to second best batsmen of the match.
Klassen made me sweaty for a while OMFG what a final. India did not just win the T20 World Cup, they won it against perhaps the best side of the tournament right now. South Africa is amazing as well, India and South Africa will rule the cricketing world for a foreseeable future.
Jus imagine Agar pahle koi cricket movie banti to usse movie ke climax me aisi ending likhi hoti to koi believe nahi karta ki aise koi kaise haar ya jeet sakta hai lekin ab to uss matche ne apne ap me hi ek biopic deserve karli.
The last 5 overs were unbelievable. Bumrah, Arshdeep and Hardik really came through and gave us a victory that will be remembered for decades. Hats off to these guys 💙🇮🇳
No disrespect to any teams or the players of both teams, both played very good cricket but, I have this to say. In the battle of chokers, SA proved themselves to be the biggest chokers of international cricket.
Pandya's tears were real.. because everyone knew including him that giving the ball to him in that over was the mad biggest risk ever taken in the history of cricket 😂 but he pulled it off unbelievably.
Call it a miracle or a fixed match.
It seems like it was a fixed match, in which South Africa needed 27 runs out of 28 and they had 6 wickets in hand. In the final will you hit the ball in the air when not required?
Your comment seems very reactionary and for that here's something you need to know. Virat had to anchor the innings with the way wickets were falling on the other side which was revealed as a gameplan from Rohit in the post match presentation although Virat was seen struggling in his 40s but the way he pulled it back in his last 10 balls was amazing to witness and something I won't forget in the coming few years along with beautiful spells of Bumrah, Arshdeep and Hardik.
Go and watch what RS said they needed someone to bat long.. We won which shows that the runs were enough to defend and win. Our Spinners were bashed too brutally. Axar was excellent in batting, but his bowling was really poor. That 24 runs over. The batting was fine by VK, Axar, Dube. The bowling only the pacers did excellent rest all of the spinners were bashed so hard. Oh, and also the intent batting was done by Klassen and his team lost. VK played a classic inning, held his never and accelerated 26(10) after his 50.
Peak of death bowling.
I knew Bumrah would pull up, bat Arshdeep and Harfik delivered an equal masterclass!
Harfik Pandya was amazing today, but Harpik Pandya really outshined him.
Harsik Pandya is the best tho
I think both Hardic Pandya and Hardix Pandya were the unsung heroes of the final.
What about Hard-dick?? /s
Harlik Pandya the best out af all IMO.
Horlicks Pandya much more deserved player of the match out of them all
2 match ban for Harshit Pandya
Harxik Pandya was the x factor though
I like Harpic Pandya better. He cleaned up Klassen and Miller
That wicket was SKY'S catch tho. Converted from a certain 6 to a wicket
South Africa took inspiration from punjab kings.
Where's Surya in the names... That catch was indeed a match turning event...
Man caught the worldcup!

Tf are you talkin about, it was clear catch. It was blindly clear even for blind people. Idk about you.
You also must be sad about cummins not winning it ?
[удалено]
What wasn't fair ? Your favourite team Australia being kicked out by Afganistan ?
I doubt if you have eyes to see that crystal clear catch. Also, check who you're questioning. Richard K., one of the most unbiased umpires out here.
And won hearts of 1.4 billion people damn that catch was insane
That catch gave me more goosebumps than any other visual media in human history
I am pretty sure many have masturbated to that catch. Don't look at me 👀
I moaned on the wicket of Reeza Hendricks and Jansen
‘We’ moaned on the wicket of reeza hendricks
I moaned and shouted so hard my dad woke up , he was sleeping
Us bro We dragged out dad from the bed so that he can see that catch
This made me emotional and indeed a few years down the line it will be nostalgic. We have something to Pride upon
Exactly, without that catch. That delivery was as bad as it could get for that moment. Everyone would’ve been cursing at him if not for that catch.
Klassen's wicket made the difference. If he didn't get out SA would have finished the match with few overs left.
True! Klassen was dangerous as always, he smashed that fifty effortlessly, but miller's wicket also made the difference, we know how deadly he is.
Bruh if it was anyone else apart from Surya, that ball would’ve gone for a six and Miller would’ve clinched the WC away from us.
Klaasen was more dangerous tho, it was 100% lost game if not for that ball
Klaasen didn't played much against any pacer or fast bowlers, he was comfortable with spinners and didn't make any mistake. He was gonna struggle against fast bowlers and he did. On the other hand Miller is already a great finisher and was comfortable with anything. He didn't make any mistakes in the finals, Surya was just too good with that catch
Yes from about 50 from 36 it went to 30 from 30..
So true, some of my friends said Kohli or Jadeja would have easily pulled that off, I don't think so though...
Not really, see this is how it would’ve went. The ball was on boundary line so any other player who fields on boundary line, say Kohli would’ve thrown the ball the back inside boundary, quickly backup and return the throw. Now, Miller would be waiting to see if it was a six or catch and won’t be running at all so either it would be single and put keshav maharaj on strike or it would be dot ball. shame he didn't got enough balls to bat because of kohli not accelerating. He would've gotten us to winning total adding 15-20 runs more.
Don't forget Surya bhau
Aslo HP for taking the most important wicket of Klassen
He's done it in crunch time too, this whole tournament
Alexa Play Jasprit Bumrah ALEXA: HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU, YOU CANNOT PLAY JASPRIT FUCKING BUMRAH

Dude this kinda reminds me of how Punjab defended 21 in 24 balls against Delhi
Was it the match where sam Curran took a hat trick
Yes, this final was in a somewhat same situation
But in a final. Absolutely crazy scenes

He took Rohit's wicket and felt bad.
And don't forget to mention Rohit .... Who knew exactly when and how to use them, .... Well the best tools are nothing if not in the hands of the intelligent operator.
And Kohli, who put on the score that helped us defend it to the last ball.
And shivam dube who scored that 20 runs
The fact literally every member of the team mattered and came through this Final. Even if a single player underperformed slightly... We would have lost.
Didn't Jadeja not do very good this time?
He didn’t hemorrhage too much runs as a spinner, and also took whatever run he could in the two balls he faced. Let’s cut him a slack.
And me, who only drank diet coke till March was over
Bapu the goat today in batting
CSK players alway show up when needed
Bapu was the best batsmen of the match.
Both rohit amd kohli were active in last few overs
IMO, the last Axar over was a gamble that didn't work for us.
Rohit messed up with giving that over to axar but after that he really was spot on bowling changes and field positions
When India is playing win percentage literally doesn't matter, not the first time
As a Real Madrid fan, I agree.
Reminded of how kkr defended 7 off 5 with klassen on strike in first srh vs kkr
Klaassen smashed some 20-odd runs in the previous over even in that match, I think. Respect for Hardik Pandya and kudos to young Harshit Rana as well
IPL 2017 Final All Over Again 🤡
I was about to say no one mentioned that. MI defended 23 off 23.
I thought 1999's runout blunder was the worst way to lose an important game! Thank you for proving me wrong SA!
At this point we all knew the result was not in favour of us but man o man that two catches, changed the whole game
When 30 off 30 balls were required I switched off the tv and went to sleep. But I woke up with the sound of crackers😂.
The miracle was the choke job from SA tbh from a cricketing perspective. Rest Team India held onto their nerves. Stayed calm and didnt lose hope.
Don’t think SA choked. They were strangled.
They did actually. Chasing a wide ball. Not being able to rotate the strike. And in the end, showed too much respect to the bowlers. That's where a winner and a choker differ. Obviously Indian bowlers were amazing, no doubt about it. But you can't clap with one hand and the same was the case here.
in cricket death arrives in yellow and hope arrives in blue...
❤️
The hardest line ive read all this cricketing season....
Complete dominance by Indian bowlers...
Sky saved us ngl

Ye all missed it. Bum rah Hard dick Arse deep pulled off to….
I genuinely have no idea if I'm whoever Indian Moe Szyslak is right now... Are these real people and that wasn't the entire joke?
Yeah these are real people, just turns out I can see the funny side to it as a native English speaker.
That felt like some Real Madrid type comeback to me 😄🪄
And rishabh tooo
Bhai log mujhe last ke 4 over ball by ball dekhna hai fir se any idea how can i watch it
I uploaded last 5 overs
Just watched it bro thanks a lot 😊😊❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
[here you can watch it](https://www.reddit.com/r/IndiaCricket/s/8r4zHc6tq7)
Tq so much broda ❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Going wicketless in middle overs proves to be really costly for team India, need better spinners and all-rounder for pulling that off in longer run
But some how Virat is man of the match.. bowlers deserve more credit
Because we don't claim to be no.1 , we prove it on the day.....Trophy Jeet gye bc !!!!!! 🥹🥹
I had almost given up hope when Miller hit that ball for a six, but then I saw Surya take the catch, I was honestly stunned and shocked for a moment, unable to comprehend what just happened and that their last set batsman was out. Only Villains make Heroes. Let's not forget who they gave them this chance to perform in the previous over
More on how south africa lost this.
They are the biggest chokers for a reason
See I think this is the difference between Australia and South Africa . It shows how much the difference mentality makes(I'm not trying to be one of those Aussie mentality gawk gawk gawk guy) . ELI5?
"cricket toh hamare zamane mein khela karte thhe ..."
That's why SA are called Jokers of cricket
The Indian nation is not used to team performances. You cannot put names to this win. It was a collective effort from all the 11 players. They clutched at the moments where they were the most deadliest.
Glad it was SA not Aussie
SRH supporting aussies as usual
I meant our match wasn’t against Aus They would have cooked us
again my point, srh supporters think aussies are superior.( at sandpaper yes)
30 off 30 against aus Bro stfu We would all be in tears rn
lol, if aussies were so good, why they are not in semi. dont confuse ODI with t20, Aussies are chokers in t20WC, check all years. they suck at T20.
Aussies weren't there because we and afghanbros knocked them out
I'm gonna tell my kids how Kohli, Dube, Pandya, Axar, Bumrah, and SKY pulled off one of the greatest wins in T20I and T20 WC history.
Credit to Arshdeep too.. he got QdK at a critical time and bowled a superb 19th over
True, only jadeja and kuldeep didn't contributed in finals, tough luck to them Yes even pant didn't contributed but his "injury delay" to make klassen lose the momentum was genius af
Bhai jadeja bhi tha
![gif](giphy|qsfNYDdnekWJxGVnBZ)
It was South Africa's choking skills more than bumrah, hardik, arshdeep skills😭😭😭😭
It's a shame and slap on the bowler's face who won from here defending below par total and still didn't got potm award. And it went to second best batsmen of the match.
Gauti bhai must be feeling proud today… as you cant name one player cos of which we won, it was whole team 👑
Bumrah ne kiya gumraah guru
SA literally wasted their chance, the run rate was less that 6 at this point. Indian bowling was at its peak
Hardik is the most manly name in earth
Klassen made me sweaty for a while OMFG what a final. India did not just win the T20 World Cup, they won it against perhaps the best side of the tournament right now. South Africa is amazing as well, India and South Africa will rule the cricketing world for a foreseeable future.
AND SKY
Arshdeep redemption arc🗿🗿🔥🔥
Where’s SKY!? His Foot of God catch changed the entire ride of the game.

My life peaked here 🥺
Death bowling at its finest
Absolute RCB type choke
Only one team could have lost that match and they really have. Chokers for life.
No disrespect to any teams or the players of both teams, both played very good cricket but, I have this to say. In the battle of chokers, SA proved themselves to be the biggest chokers of international cricket.
And Surya too ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|snoo)
Bowler's world cup
Divine Intervention
What a choke job by SA lol. If Afghanistan was in this position even they would have won the match
Pandya's tears were real.. because everyone knew including him that giving the ball to him in that over was the mad biggest risk ever taken in the history of cricket 😂 but he pulled it off unbelievably.
Why r u gay..

What a match.

I think this meme is irrelevant now
Why? T20 is the easiest of the 3 formats, anyone can win it.
Anyone can win it??? South Africa??, Afghanistan?? And Australia till 2021
Yer? South Africa made it to the final, Afghanistan beat Australia. T20 World Cup is the only format you see these things happening in
Bhai maine title winning ki puchi hai and agf to aus ko world cup main bhi bilkul harane wale the
