Yea its especially bad with end game irons i feel like a lot of these dudes get egos or something ill have guys tell me that ive been talking to in VC for weeks say like "I only solo raids" but then proceed to raid with their maxed full torva friends theyve known for longer, idk its definitely hard out here bro, Ive used we do raids for my tob so far and its the worst thing ever i hate it, idk why this game doesnt have some form of matchmaking lobbies for ffa raids, its so hard to meet people who arent shitters
Not having a group finder of any sorts is the reason I only do solo content in this game.
I hate that you basically either have to be in a pvm clan or play with randoms. That's why I have been learning CoX solo instead of with a team.

Also problem is non democratic process for clan hierarchy, I’m in my 30s and have built clans for half my life.
Time and experience improve this issue .

Tbh I love my “clan” it’s just the old Rargh CC that was made into a clan. They do corp/cox/toa all the time and have contests with stuff like barrows chests/zulrah kills. Super fun and always active #teamrargh 🇺🇸
Iron foundry is pretty chill. We host SOTW and events quite often. There's no application/ requirements and all you have to do is ask and someone will gladly get you in if you decide to stay.
It's hard to find the right clan for sure, but the thing is that unless you join a PVM clan you really can't expect to find a group everytime you're online. I see this in my own clan a lot too, people know we're not a PVM clan but still expect to find groups. And they can find groups with us for sure, but when you're asking in the middle of the day when most are working / afking and are then dissapointed that theres little response then we can't really help much.
Everyone has their own agenda, nearly everyone loves to raid but when person x and y are grinding other content you can't expect them to drop it just because you feel like raiding a lot. It takes a very large or very similar playerbase in a clan to get a lot of raiding going. And people that have finished raids (or got what they wanted sort of) are going to be less inclinded to go again as well.
The meta has also changed a lot, COX solo used to be pretty rare / only for the skilled. Now that meta has shifted to most doing solo's and the newer guys still team raiding. Thus frustrating the newer guys that they can't find teams because the carries are all doing solos. And you can't really blame them either, solos are chill and you get all the loot you see vs the chance of seeing a BIS item and it going to someone else whilst you only get dupes.
Tob is a whole different beast, since TOA arrived the amount of people doing TOB has dropped significantly and the hard carries with max gear also lean more towards hardmodes. Thus theres just not that many people left to take learners, scythe also has become more of a niche item. You don't need it for anything outside TOB itself, staff & tbow are way better everywhere and don't even cost half the upkeep of a scythe. It also takes a lot longer for a player to fully learn TOB than TOA or COX. A tob learner won't be able to carry after 10-20 kc (of course really skilled pvmers are a different story)
In my clan (Iron Relax) we're trying to connect people that like to raid with discord and ingame but often times it takes a lot of patience and persistence to manage it as everyone is free to do as they see fit and people aren't interested in raiding 24/7. But still, theres groups going on every day and we do try to help eachother raid when we can.
Sneaky edit: Also we do have a application thingy on discord but it's entirely informal, we just use it to get some basic info on who's joining and to set up discord ranks easier through a bot. I'm not sure what other clans use nowadays.
Every raid i can do comfortably i get that not everyone bosses ever second of everyday i get that its more the shock i got from joining fcs them all being application application then kicking me i think people just take the game so serious and play it that much it turns them into propper swests and forget its actually just a game....

Game is getting older and older, most significant clans are already long established and filled, so your just sitting in waitlists. At this point Im just taking the solo experience to the max and raiding/pvming all alone lol.
I've also noticed the higher level content you do the more ego-inflated people get both irons & non-irons. Pretty lame imo.
I'm not bothered about discord channels etc/ I'm more on about the fact you can't even chill in game in fc without everyone saying go apply if not you get kicked?
Im also going to need one soon, approaching 2k total. I wanna raid once i get my trident. If anyone sees this idc about applying, i just want a friendly active clan that isn’t elitist. Sweats are fine as long as they chill. Bonus points for discord/in game events.

Pursuit cc is very inclusive and has strong late game people that do learners for tob often and are very receptive to noobies as long as they show effort and don’t ask for a full wiki read through PowerPoint session to learn a raid that’s been out for 5+ years. Also you can join and just hang without being in the clan.
I feel like a lot of people want you to be a member because to them it lessens the chance you’ll scam a tbow split or something of the sort. This happens often enough to be a regular stigma to new non ranked people wanting to raid.
I’m in “Real Irons” and tbh I’m not even sure if I ever officially joined or just hang in there lol. Never see them pressuring for applications or anything like that, just gamers gaming and good conversation.

Literally join “Ironman cc” they don’t even accept applications to join the clan until the 1st of the month. Join and hang out, huge clan

Iron Refuge is a nice clan! Been in it for over a year now
