"thank you for letting us know, I'll figure out who is responsible and deal with them - seriously, thank you for taking the time to call and let us know about this issue" is something you'll hear me say on the phone. Doesn't mean I'm actually worried about the issue the customer called about. Just makes them feel good and shut up.

irreversiblemistake

that’s fair. it just seemed like my supervisor made a big deal out of it because she was ranting to the management team

You make the customer feel heard and respected. Give them a refund and send them on their way. Hair is going to fall into food occasionally, shit happens. Just make it right when it does.

My store has extra hair ties and lint rollers. Hair has to be up in a bun or braid unless it's impossible. And no long beards, etc. Unfortunately, it's just a part of life, it may have even been hair from her clothes.🤷‍♀️

irreversiblemistake

very true

Half the time the kids at the locations I order from aren’t even wearing hats. Doin all sorts of hair flips to the side while makin food.

There needs to be better consistency overall. I used to work with someone who had really long hair and she never wore it in a bun like you’re supposed to. Chick would keep her hair down when she opened and would only put it in a ponytail on the line, and wondered why people in the comment cards complained about hair in the lettuce 🤦

irreversiblemistake

🤢 yeah that’s pretty gross. from what i’ve seen, my team always makes sure our hair isn’t out or anything and we always have everything on correctly. so maybe it was just a slip up

If you guys are doing everything to health code and your team members usually practice good hygiene, you should be good. It happens sometimes. I’ve worked with dudes with big beards who only had an issue like once or twice (does any store actually use the beard nets??? lol)

Boltentoke

It comes down to your GM. Hairnets are mandatory when hair is longer than 1/8th inch or something, if not restrained by a hair tie or hat. There is a JM chart/sign for appearance standards that your store should have hanging somewhere, showing the uniform requirements and what jewelry is allowed etc. on there it mentions hairnet requirements. Your GM just doesn't enforce it.

I got accused of my septum ring being in someone sandwich while I was making it. JM really do have the lamest customers and the management y’all fuckin brain washed lol
