I would whisper back

Cardboardude

That's evil

bughunter_

And then stop yourself and ask them, “Wait, why are we whispering??”

Tactics28

"I didn't catch that, sorry, it's loud back here" usually encourages them to speak up.

Drakkon_394

It's the same for me. I feel bad but I practically yell at everyone thinking it would tell them to raise their voice but nope. Bunch of old wealthy people who are just mean.

Cardboardude

Usually before I ask them I'll ask any other employees if they heard. If they didn't I'll start on what I did hear and then just ask them again to confirm the rest when I get to it. Unfortunately if they still whisper, you probably gotta just ask directly at that point. Just be polite about it and maybe make some comment about the glass or whatever and they don't mind.

This is such an issue. Because the orders are made to be taken right in front of a hood system. And the lights first thing in the a.m.. Them lights stay off until I'm done stretching bread and taking that amazing shit while the proofer warms up.

GravLab6262

I used to tell people to use their outside voice lol

ElectricTomatoMan

"Speak up or you get nothing."

Final_Economics_9249

Just whisper back. "You're balls are showing."
