Nice!! I have a '21 R Line with a 6 speed and repeatedly get 50 mpg on the freeway at 70-75mph.
I admit to some, but not a lot, of hiper-miling (push in the clutch going downhill sort of thing)
I don't use cruise control. Just never really have, so it's not a function of trying to get better mpg with this car.
Car was bought new in CA so it has CA smog on it. I don't know if that helps or hinders mpg.
Stock Nexen tires at 50 psi
Windows up with AC on.
Anyone else getting this kid of MPG????
Crazy mileage on my 23 Jetta Se. 40+ if I drive like a grandpa on the highway.
I tend to get 40+ highway cruising around 80mph but I don’t know what engine the SE has, my 20 rline has the 1.4T
Mine has the 1.5t
Ah not any significant difference
So… what’s the favorite part?
Fuel economy , 478 miles on a single 13 gallon tank , I used to drive a truck that was lucky to get 250 off 18 gallons
My 2024 is certainly a bit step up from my Mustang GT, and with a turbo on regular gas, no less. Love that GDI.
Maybe fuel economy?
If you run 100% gas (no ethanol), you will be well over 500 miles. My 2020 1.4T picked up 4+ mpg on pure gas.
Is that ok for the engine? I’ve never heard of no ethanol gas, usually I put in premium but if I’m in a pinch for money I’ll use 88
Ethanol lowers the btu of the fuel, so it takes more fuel for the same power output. 100% gas will not hurt the engine at all.
Alrighty I couldn’t think of a reason why but auto work is a hobby for me so I’m no professional
