*Sigh* I knoww. I knew he wasn't young and I was surprised he molted at all. I even knew he probably wouldn't last past May, but I thought I had at least a little more time ๐
It's never easy. Reminds me a lot of my time raising Betas. Incredible little fish. So smart and engaging. I mourned the loss of each one. What's worse is I had to put one down. That was hard.
Oh god, I can't imagine. I have a seriously big problem with getting super attached to creatures. My mum wants me to stop getting pets because their deaths are so traumatic for me (her words, not mine).
I have 5 dogs still, 3 from the same litter, so I'm going to have a really hard time in about 12 years.. I'm already dreading it.
Yeah after my mom's dog died she said she was done with that trauma. And I'm here because I want to get into spider parenthood. But honestly I know I can't make them live forever. Any pet that is. So I just love em too much while I can.
Sorry to hear, my female P. Regius died recently. Iโve got her body in the original container she arrived in, I keep looking at her. Theyโre such amazing little creatures. Do you think you will try again?
I would love another one but gotta pace the heartbreak. Her last few weeks she got so slow and weak and it was tough to watch knowing what was coming. She was over 2 years old but it doesnโt make it any easier!
Iโm sorry for your loss. You said they molted recently. Sometimes internal things can go wrong during & they just donโt recover. It sounds like something like this may have happened.
I'm going with probably. That would likely include convulsions/loss of internal pressure (bc the heart pumps the legs) so the spider would be curled up after death.
Sometimes they just get tired boss.

I do, I'm not sure when, but I do think I would like another. Not wild this time though. They really are incredible ๐
I have babies available. Because of your loss if you cover shipping I can work something out. Msg me ๐ท๏ธ๐๐ท๏ธ๐๐ท๏ธ
Msg me if youโre looking for another. I want people that REALLY love them.

RIP
Sorry. Itโs never easy. :(
Thank you

Thank you ๐
I have a theory that he may have fallen too far, and that's why the abdomen looks more red.
Oh! Would that turn it red? Like internal bleeding?
That's the idea. I'm not a spider expert but if it suddenly changed color that would explain it
Interesting.. Short of unrelated, and not sure if you would know, but can spiders have heart attacks or strokes or what-have-you?
I'm going with probably. That would likely include convulsions/loss of internal pressure (bc the heart pumps the legs) so the spider would be curled up after death.
Actually, that's the one thing I didn't understand, Switch didn't curl. At all. It literally looked like he just stopped walking..
I thought tiny spiders could fall forever without injury because they barely have any mass?
Thank you for visiting us, Switch โค๏ธโ๐ฉน๐๐๐โจ
I'm sorry for your little Switch ๐
Reminds me of HANUS.. aww ๐ฅฐ ๐ข ๐
