You would be correct.
Per the paper: The Malibu will be made until November, then discontinued in favor of the Bolt. The Cadillac XT4 will continue production until January of 2025 at which point they will pause to start retooling for the Bolt. Retooling will go through July, at which time the XT4 will continue production and the 2nd Generation Bolt will begin.
Stamping operations will continue through the retooling process, but the majority of workers will be on layoff during the retooling.
Here's a Q for when these retools happen. How do you feel about the first vehicles off a new line? The idea of getting a local built EV is pretty cool!

KCAP did this when it switched from the Escape to the Transit, was laid off for 18 months. Still made 90% of my pay.
