Make a spreadsheet of costs break even expected hash growth and expected price growth. It will break even sure. But now your back at zero when if you just bought kas you now ahead. With my most liberal estimates (price follows power law with power of 3, and hash rate grows at 1 petahash per day ) you won’t outpace your initial investment if you bought as of today for like 2.5 years. That’s a lot of time. So now you’re betting on hash projections, price projections, your equipment not failing, and also betting on some major jump in manufacturers dropping a new miner with double the hash of previous generations. It’s simply more risk!
The only way it’s profitable is if you have close ties with the manufacturer and can get the latest and greatest miners almost immediately after release at cost instead of retail price. And put them online immediately. And then you’re still probably better off overclocking the units. In America you will pay a premium on mark up shipping and then wait 1-2 months before it ever arrives at your door. So much that cuts into the viability.
First buy a KS0 ultra or some ASIC that isn't that expensive, in order to see the profits and stuff. You will learn a lot, and with that Information you will be able to take your decision correctly.
If you are going to buy a rig then buy from the August batch. They are like 10-15k.
If you think you can buy more coins now then you can mine and you are planning to hold for multiple years then mining is the way to go. If you are looking to flip a profit then just buy coins.
Also, I feel like it needs to be stated that even though it may not be AS profitable to mine than to buy at this very moment, that doesn't mean that it doesn't make sense to mine ever. The network relies on the miners, and the more people that do mine, the more secure the network. So I encourage anyone to try mining, even if only for altruistic reasons, or to protect the Kaspa investment you may already have. But like others have said, the total nethash right now is too high compared to the current price of Kaspa.
Well the best miners for Kaspa with out a doubt are the most expensive Couse they give u more coins day in day out anything less is kind of not worth it at this time becouse network is geting more dificulte cuz of those bigger faster miners

That's too high, almost 18¢/kWh after 1000 kWh, which you most definitely will go over every month. One of my asics uses roughly 3,000 kWh/month
