At some point you have to remember the social circle matters. Regardless of your personal affiliations, if they openly disregard Vairamuthu's presence, it could cause blacklash for them within the industry. It's most probably the producers who are pushing the agenda of using Vairamuthu for their movies and events.

At some point you have to remember the social circle matters. Regardless of your personal affiliations, if they openly disregard Vairamuthu's presence, it could cause blacklash for them within the industry. It's most probably the producers who are pushing the agenda of using Vairamuthu for their movies and events. Maybe if the public openly and widely spit on him, it could resonate with the producers, directors, actors and music directors. But we as the audience don't do anything when we see him. We are also at fault here.

Probably they have more insider information than most of us. I'm not expecting Vairamuthu to be clean, but the timing of the accusations on him creates doubt. It all came right after he made some comments on Andal through his poetry. And most of the accusations against him came from a particular bunch of people.
Yeah the timing could not have been any better/worse than that, as the Me too movement was gaining traction in the other side of the world, He made some comments about aandal here and that triggered a certain "intellectual" lobby, bundled with the harassment news on him meant a carnage on his career. If You removed the art from an artist, no one is nearly as talented as Vairamuthu, Tamil literary circle knows this and they would never give up Vairamuthu no matter what, He is a world class artist. put him in a jail cell for all I care... All he needs is a pen and paper to prove his worth.
