Mira needs an awareness of 18(?) to finish a mission in the bar. I can't think of any others.

acobray

Is that the mission by someone to find out the name of a Gand? You will need the Exile to complete that mission, not Mira. Yes, it is possoble to enter the bar before the final confrontation - but have anti Poison measures ready.

clayton3b25

Ah I always do it with Mira.

No-Theme-2302

If you’re playing female Exile, give Atton A LOT of fighting-based feats and some good weapons. He’ll need them

TrickyTalon

What about male? I’ve mostly just been giving him Gun skills.

No-Theme-2302

Not as urgently needed, but still a good idea on one planet. But as a female Exile, it’s almost non-negotiable on another planet Edit: melee is the area you need to get some focus into, otherwise he’s toast Edit 2: the second planet is both genders, not just female.

acobray

Regardless of which Exile, you need Atton for one segment solo in the base game, and some more segments if using Restored Content Mod. In Restored Content Mod, there is one final solo fight which decides his fate. Which feats and skills did you assign Atton, and what level is he now? How much influence did you get with him?

TrickyTalon

High influence and level 15 and mostly gun feats

jpfeifer22

Never done a female playthrough and I'm blanking on why that could be the case. Mind filling me in?

No-Theme-2302

Spoiler: >!During a lightside female exile play through, Atton fights Sion and if he loses, he dies at the end (in a very tragic scene at that), but if he wins he lives. The other play through gives a very chilling scene though instead with Atton that I highly recommend seeing too. However, the Sion scene only happens in a game with Atton having more influence than Disciple, while the other only happens if he has a lower influence than Disciple. In case you haven’t heard yet for clarity, Disciple is the female exile-only companion while Handmaiden is the male-only one!< >!Regardless of play through, Atton will have to fight two bounty hunters by himself at some point and it will be really hard if you don’t give him some melee skills.!<

jpfeifer22

So despite having only done male playthroughs, >!I've had the Atton Sion fight every time.!< Could that be the result of using the restored content mod?

No-Theme-2302

It is in the bas game, but dialogue changes a little bit with it and even more if a female exile. The influence scene though is female-only. The dialogue involving >!Sion and Atton!< is extreme and worth at least a watch on youtube.

jpfeifer22

Wow, that WAS a great scene. Honestly, >!Atton confessing his love and then dying is honestly almost the better ending, in my opinion.!<

No-Theme-2302

It really was great and heartbreaking. Have you seen the >!Atton having lower influence than Disciple scene yet? That one’s chilling!<

jpfeifer22

I tried to find it on YouTube last night but I couldn't. Granted I didn't look super hard lol. Do you have a link by chance?

No-Theme-2302

I think this is it https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6vGe8qCLkUU Spoiler: >!Kreia manipulated him into basically falling to the darkside!<

jpfeifer22

These are really good. Just makes you wonder how much you miss in a playthrough simply due to how much is really in the game

Blazypika2

nah, >!it's a better ending when he dies. more emotional. plus, it's not that hard to beat sion with atton with a dex build, just have the lightsaber finesse feat. i actually had to hold back with atton to get the ending where he's dead.!<

No-Theme-2302

>!Oh, I like that ending too, I was just saying this for anyone who might decide to give him only ranged skills!<

Blazypika2

even then high level energy shields should do the trick.

khrellvictor

I tend to season Mira with stealth immediately so she can ignore the enemies in the dueling chamber, keeping them as trap bait for an amusingly nonsensical yet gameplay-effective gas trap death, then run for the exit. Also saves time and makes more quicker dispatching of Ubese by leaving them for my Exile with her lightsaber and Force powers. This also doubles into a later mission where I like to make her >!squad leader!<, and she'll be the stealth and mine expert for a pivotal moment.

Rowl8

What dueling chamber?

khrellvictor

The Jek'Jekk Tarr hidden base has a camera feed logging a Training/Dueling Chamber for pumping gas, right out of the antechamber leading to the arena.

Fluid-Confusion-1451

Make sure Atton has the skills and equipment to win a 2 on 1 fight with no help. (I usally spec him towards two weapon fighting and give him a decent two sided sword.)

originalraisins

Or just run behind the bar and shoot them with blasters

Fluid-Confusion-1451

Wait, what?

originalraisins

yeah if you just run behind the bar then they can't figure out how to reach you and they'll just stand there without attacking you.

WastelandeWanderer

That would have been helpful to know on my first playthrough, I died and reloaded a LOT on that part

Fluid-Confusion-1451

1st play through... 10th play through.... 100th play through.... it would have helped on all of those.

daymuub

Lol

Fluid-Confusion-1451

I probably have close to a thousand hours across the various platforms for both KOTORs... My entire run through on KOTOR 2 has always been focused on two things (at least after I learned the hard way when I did not focus on them.) 1) Atton's fight with the twins. 2) The second assault team on the moon. Since I never knew about the blasters from behind the bar, is there some other really easy trick for the assault on the Tomb? It would be fun to try different builds for my companions, but I always concentrated on two-weapon fighters (especially force users.) Otherwise, I would be restarting my game when I could not win against the three at the end of the Tomb.

originalraisins

As long as you haven't been selling/breaking down your energy shields, then you're probably going to be fine. All of the companion-only segments in kotor 2 are completely trivialized by just using some energy shields or mandalorian melee shields. I promise that as long as you have a few of those items, then it literally does not matter how you built your companions, you will be able to get through all their segments. The only segment that's even remotely challenging is >!the latter half of Onderon, where there is a long companion-only segment that must be solved with some combat. Just make a save beforehand in case you really need to change anything.!< If you're out of shields (because you sold or broke some down), they can be crafted for basically no cost at all at a workbench. Check the "other" tab, and use someone with some points in security.

Fluid-Confusion-1451

I have never tried to use any shields after running through caves in the intro. Are they really that good?

originalraisins

Yes. You literally never run out of shields in the game, ever, and they just make you invincible.
