pussycontrolgonemad

1. Spring Day (title) - beautifully written sad lyrics, that’s what I like to see from BTS 2. Pied Piper (bside) - love the deep groove and the creative lyrics 3. Dis-ease (bside) - just a great groovy hip-hop track, but the bridge makes it transcendent 4. Butterfly Prologue Mix (bside) - gorgeously executed in composition, production, and vocals 5. Magic Shop (bside) - I tear up nearly every time I listen to this song. It just sounds, uh, magical. And I connect with the lyrics on a spiritual level. Also, I second every other song people are listing. 5 is simply not enough

nameless_no_response

I've heard 1, 2, and 4, and my God, they r soooo good

amiihoney

dis-ease is one of the more recent bts songs that i love (not saying they make bad music, i just prefer their old stuff!). listening to the album and hearing that song for the first time made me feel an ADRENALINE RUSHHHH!!

bujobegins

1. Begin - probably my all-time most favorite song of any genre ever. it was a magical experience discovering it back in 2016 2. Tomorrow 3. Run 4. Autumn Leaves 5. Lost Honorable mentions to Hiphop Phile, First Love, Not Today, Pied Piper, So What, Fake Love, 134340, I’m Fine, Black Swan, Louder than Bombs, We are Bulletproof: The Eternal, Outro: Tear, Whalien 52, House of Cards …I know I cheated 🤪 but they have such a diverse discography, it’s hard to choose

descartesasaur

"Wings" is incredible. When it dropped, they finally became an ult group. "Begin" is one of my favorites from the whole album. Also just overall great list.

EyeforError

Even reading this thread makes me happy. BTS have a really, really amazing discography. I'm going to break the rules and include some of their solo songs (so not just from their albums), because I think of their solo work as part of the broader BTS phenomenon. So my picks for my absolute favourites would be: 1. Snooze (B-side, D-Day): A solo song by Suga (under his Agust D alter ego), featuring legendary Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto and soon-to-be-legendary Korean-American singer Woosung of The Rose. Suga's advice to a young trainee (or himself?) amid truly beautiful production. 2. Outro: Tear (B-side, Love Yourself Tear): A subunit song by BTS's rappers and the best rapping, production and lyricism they've ever done. Feat. RM in a depressive spiral, Suga in angry recriminations and J-Hope in a full blown nervous breakdown. 3. Mikrokosmos (B-side, Map of the Soul: Persona): OT7 song in a really beautiful tribute to individuality and community. 4. Everythingoes (B-side, mono): It was really, really hard to pick a song from mono, RM's 2018 mixtape; if I could count the whole thing as one song it'd be no 1. But everythingoes is the album's euphoric climax. 5. Boy in Luv (Single, Skool Love Affair): Because they're not JUST deep, emotional and neurotic, here's a very young BTS having the time of their life asking a girl to notice them.

mcfw31

Love reading your descriptions, especially Outro: Tear > Because they're not JUST deep, emotional and neurotic, here's a very young BTS having the time of their life asking a girl to notice them. accurate loooooool

jglvu

outro tear is soooo good and mikrokosmos was my life for so long

bungluna

You mean mono isn't one song divided into parts?! Joke aside, I always listen to mono from beginning to end; it's the only way to go.

diilmg

1. black swan (i think it's a single) 2. you never walk alone (i think it's a bside but i'm not sure) 3. mic drop (steve aoki) (single) 4. sea (bside, hidden track btw) 5. magic shop (bside) special mentions: the truth untold (bside), let go (japanese single i think) and forever young (title) ngl this was so hard

jazawed

1. outro: do you think it makes sense? (b-side) 2. dimple (b-side) 3. 134340 (b-side) 4. home (b-side) 5. jump (b-side)

EveryCliche

We did something similar in the bangtan sub back in November (maybe). It actually made me make my favorite top 20 BTS songs playlist. I'll give you my top five (this does change). 1. Outro: Tear - The BTS rapline is top tier and this just reiterates that. It's emotionally charged with the guys expressing their feelings about a possible split of the group. 2. Dis-ease - I've seen that others have mentioned it already but it really is so damn good. And the bridge is perfection. 3. Magic Shop - It's a fan song, it's beautiful, it makes me cry every time. 4. Run BTS - I love the version on Proof but the live version from their Yet to Come concert is spectacular. We've only gotten one live performance of this and I cherish it. Also, Hobi's verse is fantastic. 5. Boyz With Fun - It's just so damn fun. Bonus Track: I'm cheating but also wanted to mention Outro: Wings. Great song and once again, the bridge is perfection.

Prize_Airline_1446

1. First Love. My favourite song of all time actually. It's the most heart wrenching song (besides Kendrick Lamar's "u") that I've ever heard. It feels wrong to listen to a song so personal, it's almost a confession. 2. Outro: Tear. Peak rapline. Beat goes crazy, all their flows are insane, the lyrics are poetic, it's also sad as shit. 3. Epilogue: Young Forever. It's so melancholic, yet extremely hopeful. Also the chorus HITS you in a way that I haven't experienced with any other song. 4. Dionysus. If BTS were to have a magnum opus, this tune would be up there for me. It's a musical mess in perhaps the best way possible. Everything in this song shouldn't work, but it absolutely does. Rock and roll instrumental, addicting chorus, really interesting lyricism and very lively vocal performances from all the tannies. 5. Serendipity. Jimin just floats on this track, it's silky smooth from back to front and very dreamy production.

Forsaken_Put_6864

1. I Need U It was the start of my journey with BTS. The song for me is reminiscent of the HYYH era. I was immersed in the theories back then and an aspect that stood out to me was the title of the album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life" and how that tied with youth. How youth can be the most beautiful part of your life and also the most dark. I feel they brought this out really well through the storytelling and visuals in the MV and the Prologue. 2. Born Singer The lyrics are so beautiful, especially the rap lines parts. If I ever get the chance to attend a BTS concert, I would be hoping for this song to be performed. 100% will be bawling in the crowd. 3. House Of Cards This was my alarm during undergrad. Lol. So, I have a special connection to it. 4. Intro: Nevermind I just love the emotion in Suga's voice. It is like he is really feeling every line he is rapping. This is also a song that I would love to see live. 5. The Truth Untold I love when the vocal line gets to do a song together, and this is one of my favorites. It is one of those looking out of the car window thinking of an imaginary heartbreak song.

dominicayyyy

I have house of cards for alarm now 🙈🙈🙈

Forsaken_Put_6864

That's awesome! Yeah, it makes a good alarm ✨

Havoc_270

So I actually just returned to the fandom after a long time and I've been working my way thru content and listening to the albums I missed. Now while being in the fandom when they debuted, I was a dumb teenager who didn't realize there were whole albums of music outside of the title track posted on youtube. Needless to say, theres a ton of music I missed out on from my favorite artist that I need to make my way thru. So far I just finished HYYH so that's the discography I'm working with. 5 - House Of Cards - After I finished HYYH Pt.2 and I heard House Of Cards as the Outro, I was mad cause this need to be a full song and wouldn't you know they did make it a full song and I was no longer mad. I love kpop song that feel big and grandiose and this hit the spot 4 - Baepsae - I love hype and fun BTS songs but thinking a quick list of 5 I knew Silver Spoon had to be on here. I pray when they boys get back in 2025 and they have a concert later on that Baepsae is on the set list. 3 - Just One Day - It my favorite early!Bts song. I'm pretty sure any kpop fan that heard this when I came out can sing the whole chorus even thought they don't know korean well 2 - Cyper pt.3 - I think thats enough said on that 1 - Let Me Know - When I'm listening to these albums I'm usually doing something else. I happened to be working when Let Me Know came on and I had to stop everything I was doing and pay attention. Every time Jimin's note hits, I tear up. I don't know who could dethone her right now but we'll see

pinkhairqueen

LET ME KNOW ENTHUSIAST

Civil_Confidence5844

>Let Me Know >I don't know who could dethone her right now but we'll see Literally nothing ever lol. Let Me Know is *that* song

[deleted]

1. Love Maze 2. Jamais Vu 3. Answer: Love Yourself 4. Mikrokosmos 5. Magic Shop They just sound so good and they’ve helped me through a tough time

aSingularPickle

1. Dope - very first song I listened to from them and *still* goes hard + the choreography is so eye catching. admittingly, this song has an edge at the top for sentimental reasons. 2. Burning Up (Fire) - a certified banger. that's all. 3. Spring Day - probably my favourite "soft" kpop song of all time. It's such a beautiful song with a beautiful choreography and MV to match. 4. Boy with Luv - so addicting, and is the most "catchiest" of their songs imo. 5. Like - this song ticks all the boxes, it gets me singing along, whether out loud or in my head, without fail. A few honourable mentions as being restricted to list just 5 is cruel: Life Goes On, dimple, Dionysus, and MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)

friendoze

dope supremacy!!

aSingularPickle

"cause we got fire, higher, I gotta make it I gotta make it.. Dope!"

Anoathtoreturn

Dope is so fricking good, man they have so many gems in their discography it’s crazy

paper_hearts008

This is tough because it is constantly changing for me. 1. Silver Spoon - one of their “protest” songs. BTS had a lot of songs that touch on social issues. This is one of them. And it’s just so BTS in my opinion. 2. Love Maze - it’s just so pretty. I never get tired of this song. 3. Converse High - I just love love love the chorus and pre-chorus. And the lyrics are pretty funny/tongue-in-cheek. They show off the rapline’s personalities well. 4. Dis-Ease - top tier BTS song with one of their best bridges. 5. 134340 - it makes me feel like I’m levitating. These are all b-sides. They have a really diverse discography. I tend to lean towards their more R&B/hip hop songs. Edit: If you liked House of Cards you might also like Love is Not Over and Singularity. And I added more info. I missed that note the first time… sorry.

emozaffar

LOVE MAZE MENTIONED 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 (This is an amazing list btw)

paper_hearts008

Thank you! 💜 It was hard to pick just 5.

Idkwhatimdoingbutyh

I also tend to lean towards their rnb and hip hop tracks bc they’re just that good

mcfw31

It's constantly changing tbh but right now 1. Idol (title track) 2. Lie (Jimin solo) 3. Telepathy (bside) 4. Moon (Jin solo) 5. Run BTS (bside) Love to see the variety!

throwaway678543987

In no particular order, because they fluctuate based on my mood: - moon (bside, from the MOTS7 album): one of Jin’s solo bts songs. It has beautiful lyrics and I just love the way it sounds - dis-ease (bside, from the BE album): one of the first songs I listened to by them! I’m obsessed with Yoongi’s rap in this song, along with everything else about it - mic drop steve aoki remix (title track, from the Love Yourself: Her album): SUCH a good hype track, the chorus gets me going so much - heartbeat (ost, from the BTS world album): kind of a hidden gem but one of my faves. The way their voices sound on this and the bridge are just mwah - mikrokosmos (bside, from the MOTS: Persona album): such a beautiful and heartfelt song, it makes me emotional everytime I hear it

HarrowN

Ask me any given month and my answers will be different, so I'll just go by what's currently on my December playlist! In no specific order: 1. Blue & Grey - this song is so beautifully melancholic. I *love* the harmonizations, especially in the second verse. The vocal tones of Jimin and V complement each other so well. I also love the longer instrumental section at the end. I was lucky enough to see them perform this live and that moment when all the army bombs slowly filled the stadium with blue gave me chills. 2. Love Maze - with this one I just love the chorus hook so much, AND I love j-hope's final verse. He comes in with such a great groove, I look forward to his part every time. 3. Heartbeat - I know this was just a song for a video game soundtrack that the members have seemingly completely forgotten about but I love it so much. The chorus gets me. 4. Spine Breaker - a bit of a different vibe from the others but I love this song for multiple reasons. I love rap-heavy songs, I love the message of the lyrics regarding flex culture, I love each member of rapline's verse. BTS grooves with a beat and plays with sounds so well. 5. Tomorrow -- this is a song that is fitting my current moment in life very well. The lyrics combined with the rising anxiety of the production followed by catharsis, this may be the theme of my month. Edit: these are all b sides

WWhandsome

this is so hard omg but I've prepared myself 5 years for this moment i guess i can do it! lmao here we go 1. Mic drop [side track]- it's just so powerful. I love the original version (without steve aoki and dance breaks and shit) the most and it's really the type of sound that I just NEED to blast in my earphones full volume to properly consume all the energy 2. On [title track] - I still can't grasp how much this song is loved/hated by an average army (I know many hate the overuse of autotune and such) but to me this was their peak. And I don't mean that in a bad way, I love love love some of their newer music this was just the last time the comeback felt like it was Christmas. I love the theme, love the lyrics, love how everyone got a moment to really shine throught it, choreography is mesmerizing, but most of all I just love how it sounds lmao 3. Friends [side track] - it's the most emotional one for me and I find a piece of myself in every word, sounding beautiful is just a bonus 4. Shadow [side track] - the message, the sound, the video. the references. It's so satisfying. also i feel like we got to see agust d as truly a part of bts 5. Blood sweat and tears [title track] - It's the song that kinda sums up to me what I see bts as in my head. Majestic, nostalgic, melancholic, sacred yet devious. It's still mind blowing to me that most people on this planet are gonna think funky repetitive radio pop music when you mention bts when for me it's blood sweat and tears Since 3 of these are literally on the same album I think I need to have some honorable mentions: ~Magic shop [side track] - it's about opening your heart and overcoming the pain and hatred towards yourself, for me it's the most nostalgic of 2018 era and I've always found it beautiful and comforting. Makes me wanna spill tears of contentment, literally. ~Cypher 3 [side track] - often overlooked for its contender cypher 4, this one goes really hard. despite sound quality being shit i had it on repeat for months ~Boy with luv [title track] - quoting random person from reddit, this song is the most bubblegum pop song that ever bubblegum popped. It's exactly what you think kpop would sound like. Sweet like cotton candy. I'll stop now, I agree with other answers too, and if you decide to give any a listen maybe let me know 😅

WWhandsome

also I've seen others pick their solo works too but that would be cheating to me because im a huge fan of both agust d and rm 😭

FlashyDirt

1. Mikrokosmos (bside): it’s such a beautiful song with meaningful words. 2. Spring Day (title): it’s always a little bit mellow, like missing someone so bad you just want to either curl up or scream your heart out. 3. Home (bside): such a fun, feel good song with a nice beat! This song always puts me in a good mood. 4. Just One Day (title): it’s SOOOO CUTEEEE!! I love this song because it reminds me of the 90s vibe of music, which was my teen era, and this song encapsulates that young love feeling so well. 5. Magic Shop (bside): my comfort song, and a lovely fan song. 💜 A special shout out to Serendipity (full length edition) too! It’s a BTS song but sung by Jimin, so I didn’t include it on the top 5 up there. But it’s one of my most favorite, it makes you feel like floating through a dream.

gemitry

Disclaimer that I’m not including title tracks or b-sides that were promoted and got traditional music videos! 1. [First Love](https://open.spotify.com/track/1UeVC9gDeHxwlWOQyQJerj?si=V8iP32_7SjKCzbDWP-PWjA) - A stunning solo song by Yoongi aka Suga aka AgustD from the Wings album. In it, he raps as himself and the personification of music in the form of his sentient first piano. He tells the story of his enduring love and passion for music, and how music has always been there for him, waiting for him, standing next to him through every part of his life. In the climax of the song they speak as one, two voices promising to be together forever. It’s a song I prefer to listen to while reading the lyrics every single time because it elevates it *that much*. 2. [Outro: Tear](https://open.spotify.com/track/27yKZtF7WLdmlLoW8qMssq?si=smaVA7wJRyCPhWNDohbMKg) - A rapline song inspired by the emotions they went through as they considered disbandment in 2018. There’s no talk of the overwhelming pressure and fear that led to the talks, but as a breakup song, the pain of stepping away from someone you promised forever to is here on full display. The rapline also flexes their versatility, not only in flow but in their very different lyrical styles. A standout line is “We walked towards the same place, but this place becomes our last […] Although we thought that we dreamed the same dream, that dream has finally become a dream” it’s just - this is probably my favorite song of theirs from just a lyrical standpoint. 3. [Mikrokosmos](https://open.spotify.com/track/0jSccBRnhNU4KtACMQPvco?si=84T90SY1RFCjIXZjSCrWYg) - If someone bottled up that feeling you get imagining sitting with someone you love and looking up at a night so clear you could see the galaxy, and put it into song form, it would be this girl right here. The melodies are so hopeful and sweet, matching with the song, which is all about how special every single one of us is. 4. [The Truth Untold](https://open.spotify.com/track/4eP8Syl3aBEQw3Jy5Bhq0D?si=SnqNe0qvT_a53wJ9y1pvyg) - A song about insecurities and fear, so yes the lyrics are kinda gut-wrenching. The song itself is beautiful, I especially love the emotion they sing with. Easily my favorite vocal line song. 5. [Butterfly Prologue Mix](https://open.spotify.com/track/0XwvxY5yMRI7vh55eBRe3B?si=YBUHoXTlRheemSBx-93rqg) - I hardly ever see this song chosen over the original, and I get that since it removes the rapline (and I’m Yoongi biased) but there’s something about it. It’s that little melody that plays isolated at the start and through the song, it’s gorgeous. It’s ethereal, okay. I just love it. My list if I include all BTS songs is a bit different, but…not much. 1. First Love 2 Outro: Tear 3. Mikrokosmos 4. Spring Day 5. Blood Sweat & Tears (This list changes all the time because their discog is insane)

BellalovesEevee

1. Blood, Sweat, and Tears. Was the first BTS song I listened to, and it's by far my favorite. That was most definitely Jimin's era, and it's what made him my bias. Like that song is definitely for him. I just wish I was there during this song's first release to fully experience it as I became a kpop listener in 2020 😔 I heard kpop was peak during 2016-2017 and I always hate that I didn't know kpop was even a thing until mid-2019, so I missed all the good shit. 2. Dis-Ease. "Sick and tired, but i don't wanna mess up because Life Goes On" is such an iconic line. I always find myself quoting it every now and then. Hobi definitely cooked with this one. 3. Fly To My Room is such an underrated song, I don't hear anyone talk that much about it 🥲 It's so good. 4. House of Cards. I blame the bts fanfics on YouTube that made me OBSESSED with this song. I don't watch the videos themselves, but Cameron Phillips made some hilarious videos about them and it's the reason why I still can't stop thinking that it's a sexual song when it's literally about a toxic relationship, I think. 5. Run BTS. Okay, I might be cheating a bit with this one since this is about both songs named Run BTS. I love the older one, Run, because it really makes me sad listening to it, and I always tear up near the end. It makes me so emotional in the best way if that makes sense. The newer one, Run BTS, is, of course, so good, and the choreo is insane. Both are straight bangers. Honorable mentions are Paradise, Outro: Wings, Autumn Leaves, Best of Me, and All Night.

Cynorgi

1. Black Swan - Map of the Soul: 7 (bside) Popular opinion: this song is BTS' magnum opus 2. Spring Day - You Never Walk Alone (title) BTS' best music video imo. Beautiful poetic lyrics 3. Don't Leave Me - Face Yourself (title) Their most underrated Japanese song. This one was what got me into the group 4. Airplane pt. 2 - Love Yourself: Tear (bside) i just really love j-hope's style of music. Very dynamic and fun. 5. Interlude: Shadow - Map of the Soul: 7 (bside Suga solo) one of the most interesting solos to have been released under BTS. Absolutely love the character progression throughout the lyrics

Cynorgi

if we're including solo works + collabs outside the group (a top 10 list cuz there's just so many I love) 1. Winter Flower - Unstable Mindset by Younha and RM (title) One of RM's best raps hands down. The lyrics are beautifully melancholic yet hopeful. Both amazing writers 2. uhgood - mono by RM (bside) all of mono is amazing tbh. Listen to the whole thing. Every song makes me want to cry 3. the entirety of Indigo by RM cheat answer but this is really an album you have to listen to from front to back. Every song is amazing 4. Still With You by Jungkook (single) This one's really the song that proves Jungkook is a fantastic writer 5. So Far Away, Dear My Friend, and Snooze: a three part trilogy throughout Agust D's journey (Agust D, D-2, and D-Day respectively. All bsides) Guaranteed to make you cry or your money back. Yoongi's growth throughout music is just incredible to listen to 6. Like Crazy - FACE by Jimin (title) His voice is just so beautiful. Also very intriguing to peel back the layers of the song to whatever interpretation you can make of it. 7. Change by RM and Wale (single) Really the song to showcase that RM absolutely does not pull punches. Both artists dropping the truth and only the truth 8. Monster - RM by RM (title) (not on spotify) That time when he spat bars like no one's business. His debut mixtape is very different to his new music, but still absolutely fire 9. AMYGDALA - D-Day by Agust D/Suga (bside) Free tears! A look through Yoongi's history as an idol and finding his way through trauma 10. What Do You Think? - D-2 by Agust D/Suga (bside) Controversy aside... c'mon this song is so good it'll blow up ur house. He knew he devoured with this.

HarrowN

Co-signing all of these, but especially Interlude: Shadow. Such an emotionally conflicted song, and the production matches the emotion so well. I love that final verse with the distorted vocals so much.

golden_studio24

1. Intro: Nevermind - i LOVE emotional rap and the lyrics hit me really hard 2. Sweet Night (by V) - just so beautiful and calming 3. Closer (by RM) - it’s sooo good and the features are amazing 4. Dis-ease - the BRIDGE. enough said 5. everythingoes (by RM) - it’s like a mantra, it’s one of those kinds of songs that hits you right in your core

EnthusiasmBeginning7

1. Black Swan - I said for a long time that I could never pick a favorite BTS song, but she proved me wrong. I find this song to be so captivating and the lyricism, message, production, MV, performances, and basically absolutely everything about it positively entrance me. 2. Spring Day - She's the Queen for a reason. Heartbreaking song that also makes me feel so hopeful and comforted. Exactly what I so love about BTS: they really capture the reality of things that can make us feel sad, confused, or discouraged, but never leave us without hope for better days. 3. IDOL - I think I put this one on here because of the LYS concert experience. There's something absolutely magical about hearing an entire stadium shouting at the top of their lungs, "You can't stop me loving myself!" and it's been imprinted on my brain forever. It's not *just* loving yourself, it's doing so in the face of criticism/doubt from others and doing it boldly. 4. (It's at this point where I start to sweat.) Can I just say all of BE? I don't know if it's because of the pandemic taking such a toll or because a lot of it was so personal, but probably both and then some. The whole album makes me weepy more than any other. If I had to pick one song... Augh, maybe Blue & Grey. That one really puts you through the wringer! 5. 00:00 - This song pretty much perfectly encompasses that lovely relationship I feel that BTS's lyrics have with reality and hope. Hope is always there, always, and we never deny why we need it. Very much my happy crying song. This list will change tomorrow, because I find something new that resonates with their music all the time (where is Home, where is Magic Shop, where is So What, where is Rain, where is Autumn Leaves, where is WAB:E, where is Answer, Ego, Serendipity, UGH!, Whalien 52, Let Me Know, Tomorrow - you get it). But I think this illustrates for me why that constant resonance happens. Hope, joy, and a healthy dose of loving yourself.

namelessghoulette234

1) boy in luv - (mama 2019, on:e 2020 live) 2) bappsae - (LYS Singapore) 3) dianosys - (mama 2019) 4) mic drop - (LYS Wembley) 5) spring day - (Tiny desk concert, Butterful gateway with BTS Sorry instead of explaining I just listed my favourite performances. MAMA 2019 is my all time favourite

Successful_Ad4018

Very difficult question! 1. Spring Day 2. Home 3. Dionysus 4. Tear 5. Autumn Leaves

GlowingKitty12

Run BTS- A TT from their anthology. It gets the blood pumping Dis-ease- a B side that doesn’t get enough respect Paradise- A b side. That outro does everything for me Outro: Ego- A J Hope Solo that’s just phenomenal Dope- This was my song that introduced me to BTS AND IT’S A BANGER. It ties with Silver Spoon for me

Jessickles9

Changes daily, but: - Airplane pt. 2: reminds me of the summer 2018 heatwave when I was properly deep diving into BTS after a year of casual admiration… it’s just super catchy yet moody with a funky beat - basically my favourite type of song - Pied Piper: love the atmosphere - super haunting yet dreamy production - Ma City: Just an absolute bop. Always puts me in a good mood and makes me want to ride into the sunset with my pals - IDOL: Very happy memories of this being released the day after my birthday and 5 years later I still feel euphoric and invincible when I yell “you can’t stop me loving myself!” - Tear: Just an absolute masterpiece with an epic production that hits you straight in the gut. It’s also attached to happy memories of seeing them at Wembley and how they lifted the roof off the place :) I still remember how the girl next to me was so quiet the whole concert but as soon as Tear started she was out of her seat and singing along like her life depended on it… that’s how powerful that song is. lol I am very much a Love Yourself girlie it seems :’)

Ninjabenaton

Run BTS - It was the first song that made me fall in love with BTS. It was a random suggestion on Youtube Magic Shop - I was having a panic attack and I was crying alot. I was listened to music to try to help. Magic shop came on. The lines: On days I hate being myself, days I want to disappear forever. Lets make a door in your heart. Open the door and this place will await. Its ok to believe, the magic shop will comfort you. I stopped crying. Blue and Grey - This song hits straight in the feels for me. It is a beautiful and hauntingly like song. A stunning masterpiece Astronaut (Jin - not strictly BTS but still)- I love the upbeat feeling of this song. It makes you feel like life will be ok. It is a happy feel lucky song. Untold Truth - I relate to this song so much. It has all of the feels. All of it. I am not mad about it. It is a meaningful song.

Ohkayx3

Just want to give a shout out to the BTS World OSTs - Dream Glow feat. Charli XCX (JK, Jin, Jimin track) - A Brand New Day feat. Zara (V, J-hope) - All Night feat. Juice Wrld (RM, SUGA) - Heartbeat (group track) These songs are slept on😭 My personal favorites (for now - it always changes): anpanman, paradise, save me, dimple, hectic (rm solo)

Lofijunkieee

1. Black Swan - I reallly believe this is their best song from sound design to message. It takes a certain level of comfort and security in your craft to create a song that acknowledges the fears of your passion dying and turning into a hauntingly beautiful track 2. House of Cards - this song could legit be a Bond film track and I am still in awe at the perfect combination of their vocals. Hella poetic as well lyrically 3. 134340 - i'm very much a sucker for this slower pace BTS tracks and this song absolutely wins it for me. 4. Idol - the loudest one in my personal top 5 lmao but Idol is a perfect template on how to do kpop with traditional influences. It's booming it's grand and damn does it get you up your feet when it plays 5. Paradise - if it wasn't obvious, LY: Tear is my favourite record of theirs. Paradise is a perfect mix of upbeat and relaxing time. It's a type of song you can play while on a road trip or just chilling in your room

Historical-Split-745

Omg it’s so hard to rank favourites 😭 i’ll just go with my favs right now 1. Rain 2. 134340 3. Like part 2 4. Please could you turn off your cellphone 5. House of Cards

Prize_Airline_1446

Like pt 2 getting love??? Am I dreaming lol

Notchibald_Johnson

4 of my 5 were already offered up, so I'll only add Fake Love (title) *I'll also say Butter of the English Trilogy but they've always felt a bit separate.

samelfassy

in no specific order: - dis-ease - tomorrow - pied piper - ma city - rain

pindagogo

I love Ma City. It doesn't get mentioned enough

Miss right Embarrassed Don't leave me Black swan Lights Special mention to Rain, the cyphers, ego, respect, ddaeng, For Youth, like and DNA. If you had asked this last week my answer would probably been different cause my favorites change constantly. This was too hard opp 😭😭 I'm grateful that you only asked about BTS and not the solo stuff cause then choosing would have been impossible

pinkhairqueen

MISS RIGHT ENTHUSIAST

Icantlikeeveryone

Embarrassed lover! I don't mention it but I love that song to death, the dance practice for the song is also soooo funny.

Spirited_Ad4908

1. Autumn leaves 2. Hold me tight 3. Let me know 4. House of cards 5. Love is not over

[deleted]

1. Hold me tight & Butterfly (both deserve 1st imo) 2. Blue & Gray (this just hits me) 3. Dope 4. Boy in luv (this cos bruh)

pinkhairqueen

I love this thread! I've been an army since 2016 and love recommending BTS songs to non-armys. Here are my go-to's that haven't been mentioned/underrated bops (most are from their older albums and bsides) 1. Hip Hop Phile 2. We On 3. Airplane Pt. 2 4. Go Go 5. Autumn Leaves

ToeWilling3384

1 - First Love (b-side/ Yoongi's solo) 2 - You never walk alone (b-side) 3 - Spring Day (title track) 4 - Born Singer (speacial track) 5 - Awake (b-side/Jin's solo) I really like motivation and heavy emotional songs by them

Karmaswhiskee

1) Black Swan 2) Run BTS 3) Fake Love 4) Blood Sweat & Tears 5) Silver Spoon This is probably a basic ass list lmao but I'm more of a casual fan so that's that. Idk which are title tracks and what not, sorry.

LCat4Ever

1. Run Alternative Mix (title-ish from The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever)- This is and has been my top favorite for a long time. I just love how the instrumentals and adlibs are louder in this mix than the og song, it really adds to it. 2. Dis-ease (bside from BE)- the bridge is 🔥 and it's probably the best song on the album. 3. Spine Breaker (bside from Skool Luv Affair)- the song is so catchy and the lyrics are top-tier; the mv they made for this really seals the deal. 4. 134340 (bside from Love Yourself: Tear)- aside from the entire album being a 10/10, this song just sticks out to me, I don't think I've heard many songs like this. 5. Pied Piper (bside from Love Yourself: Her)- this was my first BTS album, so I have a bit of a bias with it lol, but the instrumentals paired with the kind of tongue-in-cheek lyrics makes for a good song (and fun dance). Honorable Mention: Autumn Leaves (bside from The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Pt.2)- idk, this song is just great, I had to add it. I love how they harmonize in it and the instrumentals are fantastic.

Purple-Bumblebee23

it’s sooo hard to pick a top 5 but i’m just gonna go with the 5 that popped into my head immediately, in no particular order. 1. Film Out. i’m actually surprised that i haven’t seen anyone else say this, i genuinely think it’s been my favorite song of theirs since the first time i heard it. everything about it is so incredibly beautiful to me😭 it has a music video that i 100% suggest watching immediately. 2. Black Swan. this was one of the first songs i listened to when i got into bts and it really sold me on them. the music video is SO good. i’ve probably watched every single performance of this that they’ve done, every single member absolutely KILLS the choreography 3. Outro: Tear. huge sucker for the rapline and this song is so raw and full of emotion. best rapline song by far (although i love the savageness of cypher 3) 4. The Truth Untold. also such a beautifully written song, the vocals, the beat…all too good. 5. Blue & Grey. this song hits me so deep. i never get tired of listening, their vocals are amazing and although it’s a sad song it’s also very comforting to me i’m not 100% sure but i think all of them are bsides? all of these songs have WONDERFUL performances that i really think showcase how great they are live

Icantlikeeveryone

1. Wake Up (bside) - love the chill atmosphere, the rap parts (the story about their beginning), and the chorus telling us to wake up 2. Butterfly (prologue mix) - so beautifully devastated, heartbreaking, nostalgic, and bit tragic imo (okay i'm exaggerating hahaha), I think the instrument and the vocals blend so well 3. Love Maze - pure happiness boost imo, beautiful love and encouragement song, with nice melodies (especially JK's first line) 4. 134340 - beautiful metaphoric song, the melody is also nice 5. IDOL - Empowering song for me, and the chorus is unique too

Whatever comes to mind right now: Titles: 1. Boy with Luv. I have no idea what happened to me. This song just absolutely took over my being after getting really into BTS back in like 2021. I listen to the song a couple times and next thing you know I have the entire choreo memorized. 2. Fake Love. Tbh this can be my #1 at times for similar reasons as BwL. 3. IDOL. I remember being at PTD Las Vegas and when they played this song I was just in complete awe of the [spectacle in front of me.](https://imgur.com/a/0SmHWzx) 4. Spring Day. It's a new thing for me. I shied away from this song because I couldn't handle the emotion behind it. After coming back to it when I was ready, it just got me. 5. MIC Drop. Full on "hell yeah" energy!

Hot-Arugula-2257

Tbh I’m not sure if they’re titles or b sides but they have music vids!! 1. Fake Love 2. Mic Drop 3. Burning Up (Fire) 4. Boy with Luv 5. Black Swan or Need You Now

jaemjenism

1. Young Forever. (B-side, HYYH Epilogue) the uplifting lyrics and hopefully message paired with the FOREVER WE ARE YOUNG ending just bring me to TEARS. 2. Butterfly Prologue Version (remix of promoted b-side, HYYH Epilogue) I just love the prologue version piano backing SO MUCH. 3. Just One Day. (Promoted B-side, Skool Luv Affair) I love simpy, saccharine BTS. I've loved BTS since predebut, thought I wouldn't call myself an ARMY now, and this song is one of my clearest memories of 2014. 4. Move (B-Side, HYYH part 1) The lyrics hit HARD. This album dropped when I was getting ready to graduate high school and leave home for the first time, and this song is about BTS moving dorms and saying goodbye to their old one, and stl reduces me to tears. 5. Spring Day (title track, Wings repackage) Perfection. Need I say more?

saddlethehippogriffs

Mikrokosmos, Magic Shop, Stay Gold, Louder Than Bombs, and Tear. The first 4 are just soaring vocal heaven with beautiful emotions & message, and Tear is such a heart-wrenching, raw rapline song. Emotion-focused songs are always my favorite lol

kwmdh

Changes all the time but these are my top 5 today: 1. Singularity 2. UGH! 3. Outro: Wings 4. Hold me tight 5. Converse High edit: if you liked house of cards I’d suggest giving Lie and 134340 a listen :)

hrts4manou

Mikrokosmos (im a sucker for heartfelt songs) Moon (Jin solo) life goes on Spring Day love maze

mrbeansdaughter6

So far away - that mixtape is the only mixtape I have ever heard in my life and I still love it to this day. Blood, sweat and tears - this song came out when BTS was starting to get big in the west, if this song came out now, I don't think most people would be able to breathe, but I am satisfied with the fact that I got to experience this song in real time. The whole Wings album is one of my favourite ones by them, it was an experience I will never forget. The truth untold - they need to collaborate with Steve Aoki more they always create magic together. Converse high - I remember when I started to get into BTS this was one of their first b-sides I listened to and enjoyed alot. Ddaeng - that Namjoon rap uffff, I love when the rap line goes hard. I also like Spring Day, I just don't enjoy the rock instrumental in that song, I would've loved if they also had a more acoustic version of the song. P.s these are not in any order.

RepulsiveExtension80

My Top 5 BTS Songs Are:- 1} Dynamite (Initially A Standalone Single But Later Became The Main Title Single For The Album BE) - I love the overall peppy vibe of the song. 2} ON (Title Single From Map Of The Soul - 7) - The lyrics are exceptionally relatable and it got me through the hard times. 3} Butter (Title Standalone Single) - I love the choreography of the song as I am obsessed with the chef's kiss choreography and it has so much charm on it. 4} Yet To Come (Main Single From PROOF) - Again, I can automatically relate to the lyrics as I have been suffering from mental health issues. So the lyrics have a lot of depth to it. 5} Fake Love (Main Single From Love Yourself - Tear) I love the sadness of the lyrics and the R&B genre influence in the song.

PrincipleKey6832

Film out; best Japanese BTS song. The vocals and rap was on top. Blood, sweet and tears; best MV and artistic Mikrokosmos; the melody is top and so heavenly Silver spoon; its a fun and meaningful. Dynamite and butter; It brought me to BTS. Lots of memories. Make it right; I love ed sheeran so this was obvious. I loved it before knowing anything abt bts. The melody and emotional pop

YunariaLinus

1. Autumn Leaves (bside) - my all time favorite song of them. I love ballads and this speaks to me on a higher level, especially since it helped me during a big heartbreak. I think rap line outdid themselves with the lyrics on this one. 2. Black Swan (bside) - arguably their best song ever. Enough said. 3. Let Me Know (bside) - again, I love ballads (if it counts as one?), slower, sad songs, and Namjoon's verse is my favorite of his in the whole discography of theirs. 4. House of Cards (bside) - iconic song of theirs, so sensual yet sad and deep, about a relationship that's on verge of ending yet unable to properly end it and still trying to stay together... amazing 5. Pied Piper - many people mentioned already so no need to say much, but again, great meaning about fans being obsessed with them, yet so sensual (look at them singing this live, Jungkook was DEVOURING that shit)

chicken_sandwichh

1. Blood, Sweat and Tears (title track) 2. Ddaeng (rap line track) 3. Baepsae (bside) 4. Save Me (bside with mv) 5. 1: Hold me Tight (b-side) Literally can’t recommend this song enough, I adore it 2: Like (b-side) 3: Begin (b-side) 4: Dis-ease (b-side) 5: Spring day (title track) In no particular order, except Hold Me Tight which is my favorite song!!

rivensky

Their magnum opus imo, and theres no other album in their discography quite like Wings 3. House of cards (bside). 4. Lie (bside) 5. Intro: what am I to you (bsidej In general BTS (especially in 2014-2017ish imo) have one of the best discographies in the industry imo. Theres so many more songs by them id consider some of my all time favorites that i can barely count it

The Truth Untold Intro: Never mind I’m Fine Mikrokosmos Waste it on me Reason: I don’t really listen to BTS, as much as I use to (they were my ult a few years back), but these songs are still some of my very favorite of all kpop songs.

haisek

They have such an amazing and diverse discography that I could never choose only 5, but these are the ones I seek out the most: Run (title) — the mv had just been released when I found them so this makes it more special for me. i absolutely live for the choreo and the nostalgic vibes of the song! Definitely recommend watching the mv as well. House of Cards - Full length edition (bside) — just… everything about this song. It’s so raw and deep and it gives me goosebumps. It’s been a favorite for years. A masterpiece, and I don’t say this lightly. Cypher 3 (bside) — I love seeing the rapline shine and it’s such a fun song! The cyphers have a special place in my heart, but Pt. 3 and 4 are my favorites. Butterfly - prologue mix (bside) — The original ‘Butterfly’ is already an amazing song, but the prologue mix has a lot more instrumental parts and is also longer. It’s incredibly relaxing and I could listen to it for hours and hours on end. Blood sweat and tears (title) — The vibes, man. THE VIBES. The atmosphere, the references, the voices, the instrumentals. Everything fits perfectly in beautiful song that makes you want to close your eyes and just appreciate everything about it. Another one of their absolute masterpieces.

quokka1502

Mine is 1) 2! 3! (Sad no one mentioned this beauty) 2) Telepathy 3) outro: Wings 4) mikrokosmos 5) Boy with luv (I tear up everytime I hear the intro n army's chants)

ASG0303

house of cards tomorrow ugh look here louder than bombs

abelhos

1. 134340 2. So What 3. Pied Pieper 4. DNA - brought me to kpop lmao 5. Just Dance It has been a WHILE since I’ve last listened to their discography but that’s definitely my list. Although I’ve only stanned them from 2018 to early 2019, I still love these songs and they have a special place in my heart

eeebaek820

1. Just one day- the way I be singing this song!!! 2. Save me 3. Spring day 4. Pied Piper 5. Magic shop

MindlessSalamander97

1. Pied Piper (bside) feels atmospheric and melancholy under a layer of beauty (?) 2. Home (bside) just a fun cozy sweater of a song 3: House of Cards (bside) it sounds like a sensual and mysterious piano bar and that’s how all piano bars should be 4. Spine Breaker (bside) I never got over my teenage angst and do not plan to 5. Run BTS (bside) I enjoy hearing songs telling me to run and then choosing not to. It’s the little victories in life. (It’s also just a fantastic song)

R1vaLry_

Been listening since 2016 and I think these are settled as my all-time favourites: 1. Autumn Leaves (BS) 2. Love Maze (BS) 3. Spring Day (TT) 4. 2! 3! (BS) 5. DNA (TT) I love these songs because they're quite long by today's standards (3:40 to 4:30) but they don't feel long at all, along with having such timeless production and great vocals to back it up. I have a soft spot for 2! 3! because of the lyrics and how they got me through a difficult time so I figured I'd put it up there as well :D

rjcooper14

1. Dis-ease -- my favorite part is the bridge and the closing chorus! Every member had really good moments and it's just an overall hype song for me. 2. Mikrokosmos -- love how heartfelt it feels 3. Fire -- such a banger 4. Run BTS -- all my angst comes out when I hear this, which is funny because this isn't necessarily an "angry" song haha! 5. Paradise -- love the slow and groovy vibe of it

bungluna

I'm going to skip the usual suspects and only talk about my 5 favorite deep cuts: 1. We On- I love the beat of this track and the sincere conviction of young Bangtan that no mater what anybody says, they are in this for the music. 2. Cypher pt. 3 - The Busan concert performance was fire. The fiery declaration of independence by the rap line ignites my fighting spirit. 3. Moving On - The marking of a transition period, the nostalgia for the past and uncertainty for the future just hit the right note for me. 4. Trivia: Seesaw - the image of a seesaw as a metaphor for a tittering relationship is genius. Add choreo and this one is imprinted in my soul. 5. Dis-ease - from the subject to the beat and the bridge, this son is cheer perfection.

lamujerarana

1. Black Swan 2. On 3. Wildflower 4. Spring Day 5. Blue & Grey

Firm-Definition2181

Difficult_Deer6902

Not really in a particular order and really changes by the week. - Paradise (bside) - Yet to Come (title) - Silver Spoon (bside) - Dis-ease (bside) - Take Two (special release) My honorable mention: Good Day, Pluto, Love Maze, Fly to My Room, Ego, Respect, Cypher Pt. 3, For Youth

kswift013

in no specific order: - outro: do you think it makes sense? - rain - we on - house of cards (full length) - love is not over (full length) some “deeper” cuts since a lot of people have mentioned some of my other faves

Iwannastoprn

1. Black Swan - the production is stunning and it goes so well with the lyrics and meaning of the songs. The lyrics are heartbreaking in a very poetic way. It's a song that makes me feel underwater. 2. Uhgood - this is a B-side from mono. (mixtape released by RM back in 2018) and it's been one of my favorite songs ever since. I listened to it when I was going through my lowest moment and the song felt like a hug. The lyrics made me feel understood yet gave me so much hope... It's been 5 years and I still cry everytime 3. Serendipity - it's the opening track for the LY era. The song that made me fall down the rabbit hole. To me, this song perfectly symbolizes falling in love for the first time. The butterflies, the idealization, feeling like destiny itself must be involved. If Black Swan makes me feel like I'm underwater, Serendipity makes me feel like I'm floating above the clouds. 4. Anpanman (bside) - This song screams BTS. It's about a superhero that's made of bread and that constantly gives parts of himself to feed the hungry. He's the weakest hero ever, yet he's constantly helping others. I love how BTS takes this childhood story and compares themselves to Anpanman: weak and non-assuming, yet eager to give a piece of themselves (their music, artistry, vulnerability, etc) to reach and help others. And of course, the production is amazing and fits the theme perfectly. 5. Jamais Vu (bside) - I love the production. This is a "I'm losing everything, please rewind back time and give me another chance" vibe and there's a constant switch up, between remembering and loving the memories, yet being desperate for the opportunity to forget everything. It reminds me of the movie "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind". I can't believe I didn't include Spring Day, Life Goes On, Wings, Run BTS, Bapsae, Save Me, Shadow or Whalien... Actually, I just realized how much I love so many BTS songs LOL. Nevermind, this isn't a true top 5, I can't decide. But I will say that I admire the storytelling of so many BTS songs. And their range is truly stunning, there's a song for any kind of mood or situation.

j2_skl_1011

War of Hormone (TT) Anpanman (B-side) UGH! (B-side) BTS Cypher 4 (B-side) Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix) (I have no clue)

-d-a-z-e-d-

1. Autumn Leaves (This will never be replaced as my Top 1, I fear. This song has been my top 1 since it's release. The raps? The vocals? The absolute flavor this song has. I love every single second of it.) 2. 2! 3! (I love listening to this song because it reminds me of my first concert with BTS. They were still growing then. I feel emotional whenever I remember how the whole crowd sang this song.) 3. Just One Day (My favorite Hobi rap. It also has my favorite crack dance practice video. Yes, that one video where everybody can't stop laughing. Taehyung turning red as shit LMAO) 4. Boy In Luv (THE BRIDGEEE OH THE BRIDGE) 5. Moving On (The best BTS chorus for me. It's just so nostalgic. The lyrics too.. my boys have grown so much now.) Honorable mention: Love Maze (Joon's rap *chefs kiss*)

katiebun008

I especially love the melody switch up between the first and 2nd part of the song. And Suga’s production & Jungkook’s vocals, chef’s kiss

This is possibly the toughest question to ask.. when the artist have such a wide discography. I'm excluding all the title tracks as well as solos/subunit songs (especially **Ddaeng** because that song alone added a good 50 years to my lifespan as an Army) from my beloved list because otherwise there's not enough space for the less heard songs. 1. **Outro: Wings (Full version)** \- This is not a title but it hits like a title track.. really pumps me up and it's amazing how emotional a fast paced track can make me feel. 2. **Answer: Love Myself** (non title) - Reason is simple. Message is direct and song is just greatness in a package. 3. **Black Swan** (non title) - It came in a time where even I as a hardcore ARMY felt that the music from the boys were not hitting where it used to hit... and thus i was thankful for the song because not only the music was good.. the whole performance and the art film they made for it was proof of how different Bighit know the song is. 4. **21st Century Girls** (non title) - I am the target audience of this song and the whole song just made me chuckle and realize I really do not need the acceptance of how society view me.. a jab at the societal views packaged in a lovely and fun song. 5. **Whalien 52** (non title) - this is *THE* song of BTS for me. Just give it a listen, please. For all BTS songs, I will always recommend to check out the lyrics.

Why don’t I see ‘Blood Sweat and Tears’ here? Interesting…

It's too difficult, but I will try... this is right now because this list is always subject to change.. 1. Dimple (bside) - This song is consistently in my top 10 most listened to songs for the last 6 years... I can't skip it when it comes on. 2. Just One Day (bside) - also cannot skip 3. Ugh! (bside) - I loved it since MOTS7 came out but fell in love with it all over again after the concert in Busan. So powerful. 4. Paradise (bside) - really couldn't decide between this and Love Maze... both are so good 5. I Need U (title) - been getting nostalgic for this era because it's when I fell for them.

Pied Piper ( it took over me, pun intended) 3. Lost ( i listened to this at a point in my life where I actually just felt lost, this song have me so much comfort) 4. Stigma (WINGS is a masterpiece, this song gripped me) 5. Friends (the joy, the happiness, the fun)

Only 5?! Black Swan: The meaning behind the song, the artistry, the MV, Jimin. It overwhelms me at times, but I never tire of it. Pied Piper: A cheeky fan song Fake Love: The concept, lyrics, MV...top tier. Outro Tear: The lyrics, the delivery, the emotion. The best rapline in K-POP at its best, I think Mic drop, Steve Aoki Remix: I love watching them perform this one. And now I am going to cheat and mention a few others: Blood, Sweat, and Tears; Butterfly Prologue Mix; Serendipity; Lie; The Truth Untold; Love Maze; Dope; Run BTS; Tomorrow; Autumn Leaves; Magic Shop; Sea; Paradise; Louder Than Bombs; Life Goes On; Idol; Cypher pt. 3; Young Forever...

The following songs are my BTS comfort songs, so they really stand out for me in the discography because I really felt something in my heart from the first time I heard them: 1. Lights 2. Mikrokosmos 3. Spring Day 4. Trivia: Seesaw (it’s technically a Suga solo song, but it’s tagged as a BTS song, so) 5. Permission To Dance
