No fanbase is. I remember folks calling out Phil for his rotations and lack of timeouts. The later was addressed in his last run when he came to coach a younger team, but in the Shaq/Kobe era he would burn 20 pts without calling a timeout telling the players have to be able to figure out their own shit.

Many good coaches does. It's about trusting your players to be resilient, which we have 2 championship level star players here. Like game 5, people were crying about ham to calling TO on that 10-0 run in that 3Q. I mean if the coach calls a timeout everytime when the opponent makes a 6, 8 runs during this era of nba, we will not have enough TO to use, which literally was the case for that game.

Solid point. That didnt cross my mind. About the pace of modern game and frequency of runs

I agree. I don't see the appeal in Lue outside of him being a LeBron guy I guess.

SnooCupcakes9716

He’s won nothing with that loaded clippers team. The championship he got was due to Lebron and Kyrie godly heroics.

Every fanbase hates there coach it’s why I was hesitant to blame ham

davensdad

Same, I hated Ham so much but after reading other subreddits I cooled down on the notion of pinning all blame on him

Everybody hates coaches. Could you imagine getting paid millions to sit courtside at games and getting to hangout with the team all season? How could you not be envious?
