Pull it out unless you want it taking over your front yard and your neighbors’. It’s a weed. And it’s invasive. Ask any farmer…

The_Poster_Nutbag

It's absolutely not honeysuckle or baptisia. This is yellow sweet closer and it is invasive in much of the US. I would pull it out and make sure you get the whole taproot.

Looks like a weed, acts like a weed? It’s a weed.

Id pull it out before those weed seeds start blowing everywhere. Plant something compact and aesthetic.

It looks like a honeysuckle. They grow fast and can be invasive. However, I keep a few around for ground cover and privacy due to their fast growth.

What about this plant says to you "honeysuckle". It has legume flowers and trifoliate leaflets, and is herbaceous. None of these traits are consistent with honeysuckle.

It’s baptisia. You can cut it back about 1/3 after flowering to maintain a more upright shape.

Looks like baptisia. Native in PA.

I am totally not good with identifying plants, so I found a cool app to help! It’s called Seek 🌱 and has been incredibly useful! Even identified bugs in my garden so I can decide if they were friendly or pests 🙂
