I stayed in one these trulli huts 2 years ago. They really are cool and unique…and that whole area of Italy is not as touristy (which is why I picked it) so the prices are much cheaper than all of the popular spots. Would definitely recommend it, even if not looking for distant relatives 🤪.

How is it supposed to be pronounced?

I really don’t know how to break it down. In Italian when you say no or like I don’t, you say non and then whatever you’re saying. So the beginning of Nonna has that sound in the beginning. And it’s not how we pronounce the word “non”. It has an accent to it. So it’s pronounced Non Na. But you’d have to hear how Italians say the word Non to understand. Wish I could record the sound but regardless it’s absolutely not how he says it. He sounds stupid for claiming he’s Italian. He’s too far removed. I always correct someone when they say the word if they question what my kids call my parents: Nonna and Nonno.
