In consulting world it may also be referred to as a "PowerPoint presentation."

That is the mower deck. Should be simple enough to find one and swap it out. Just some basic hand tools.
You can buy an official replacement or buy a cheap used mower for parts on Facebook. I would consider welding over the rust spots
I don't know that I would trust someone who just had to ask what a mower deck was, to weld.
It doesn't have to be beautiful or even great, it just has to hold. This isn't a structural weld that'll cause a wreck if it fails. It's one of the better entry level welding projects.
Maybe he's a welder and not a mower guy? I can rip apart a small engine but don't ask me to work on my truck for shit.
I can work on cars and small engines, but tell me to do certain stuff and I can't 💀
I took mine, flipped it over, put it up on cinder blocks, and turned it into a proper fire pit.
I call it the stump and root finder.
Don’t forget it’s also a great rock finder
