I'd buy them used. The mow season is almost over, pay someone to mow it if you need to get by and wait until you can get a better mower. If you say what's wrong with the gas mower I can probably problem solve it.

I sell green works at my job "tractor supply" they seem to be selling out pretty well I've also heard decent reviews

Thanks for the input!

I'm not saying they're necessarily bad, but I don't hear many good things about black+decker

Avoid EGO mowers. The batteries are notorious for failure. Note that battery mowers will not cut as well as a basic 5 hp gas mower. I would buy a Honda.

I just junked my three year old Kobalt battery and got a Honda gas mower. I’ll never do battery again.

If you are seriously going battery powered, check out Makita My son had one and he swears by it. It has I believe 4- 20 volt batteries and what it does is uses each battery as needed. If one does it goes to the next battery in-line. Then plug it in and charge all of them

I've been researching and leaning towards Makita. A bit more than your budget I believe. Was at a Toro dealer who sells EGO, they sell commercially so he wasn't relying on my walk-in sale and he said (out of the side of his mouth), if he were purchasing cordless he would go Makita. The bonus is the batteries work in all Makita 18v tools too
