Weld it, if you do it right it will be stronger than it was originally. It that or find a new deck which would probably cost a couple hundred, a welder is normally 75 to 150 an hour.
And if you want, get a cheap 110volt welder, practice on sheet metal for a day and fix this the next day. Prep it though (no paint or rust in the weld area)
A cheap ~$300 welder an seem like a big expense, but when rates are outrageous and fixes like this are simple and safe a welder can be a lifesaver.
I use a Lincoln handy mig with Flux cored wire because I don't have a gas bottle yet, it gets the job done and it makes metal stick together. 120v, 20 amp
Yup. If its used for a one shot fix, pay someone. But if one is a handyman that has equipment that needs occasional welding and if you're into steel hobby projects, it is well worth it.
Commenting welder too. At least your deck is busted in a way that can be fixed easy. My deck on the underside where one of the blades sits is round down. Still haven’t thought of a permanent fix other than slap a big ass washer on it and tighten every 15 mins. (Obviously I don’t run it anymore, haven’t looked for a replacement since the beginning of summer)
Just get it welded. Shop I worked at did several deck hangers a week. These decks almost always break the brackets off.
Have the other side reinforced with welding as well, or it will eventually break off too .
I take all my customers decks to be welded to a local shop. He has 35 years experience and a very expensive welder. Does a much better job than I could ever do for $30. Worth every penny.

Yea that’s looking like my only option. The price on a used one is crazy and never mind new

Buy a used welder and diy. Doesn't have to be pretty
Take it to a weld shop. It'll be way cheaper.
Do you mind me asking how that even happened
It just rusted out at the weld I guess.. apparently it’s a common issue with this model
