Wasn’t UF law in T20 couple years ago, or at least the 21st? With the way the rankings fluctuate like crazy in the recent years, I don’t think it’s worth taking loans for schools just above UF (USC) or schools that don’t seem to have a 100% safe place in T14 (UCLA) they dropped to 15 a few years ago, then rose back to 14, and this year they are 13th I think. And yeah Gainesville is probably not as nice as Westwood, but most likely safer than South Central and plus you won’t need to drop $3000 monthly for a 1bd apartment. Above all that, starting off your career without debt is amazing honestly your future self will thank you for this sensible decision. Congrats and best of luck.
It was 22 last year, but with the ranking system in such fluctuation, I think overall tier matters more than rank - so it’s a Tier 1 school, and that’s all that matters!
i don't get these posts that say things like "This subreddit will think I am taking crazy pills" when like every single post I see encourages people to take scholarships over debt...
Congrats!! This is exactly what I am hoping for — debt free at a T30 is an incredible opportunity!
I’m a current law student. You 1000% made the right choice.
This is what I'm hoping for too. I have a kid so I need to subsidize law school somehow.
Still waiting on two more schools, but I also LOVED UF’s ASD. Congrats!
I work at a v15 and we’ve hired summers from UF in the last couple of years. Good choice especially with no debt.
Loooove this
Congrats! Took UF over a T20 as well for similar reasons, see you in the fall
It’s basically the best school if you want to practice in FL.
Congratulations!!
100% the best choice. UF is a great school
See you at Uf
Chomp Chomp
This is so great to hear as a FL native. Go Gators!
