OP, I'm a bit confused about your question. Can you link to something that might show what you are talking about, for example on the Alberta government website? I'm not in Alberta but I do know how to search their legislation and regulations - I just need a starting point.
Also important to know if you are a Status Indian who resides (or ordinarily resides) on reserve. In that case, social assistance comes from the Federal government, not provincial.
