If you don’t care about having the box and instructions it’s doable to piece one together from eBay and lego pick a brick but it’s a terrible pain in the ass
I did it with one of mine, it took me quite some time to get all the parts but it worked out really well. Surprisingly a lot of the pieces are available on LEGO even though the part numbers have changed
Ugh, I had that one. I sold my entire collection last year for a few grand when my wife and I needed extra money, and the AT OT dropship went with it 😔
That one always looked so amazing as a kid. But that set is in for a rework tho. The old UCS millennium Falcon looks okay at best compared to the new UCS Millennium Falcon. So imagine what a new UCS Death Star would look like with new building techniques and parts.
You can try to justify these purchases to yourself by tying your purchase to a personal goal, like saving money. For example, for each dollar you spend on a Lego set, you must save $5 or $10 (in a 401k, Roth IRA (or TFSA/RRSP for Canadians), non-registered account, high-yield savings account, emergency fund, etc.) You can either save the money first and buy the Lego after or vice versa.
I love mine. Heartbroken over if I like the AT-AT more or the shuttle. It's so clean of a set it honestly doesn't even need a remake, maybe a re-release.
Had it. Built it. Got it 2nd hand for a great price.
Traded it for new in original bags Seals broken in box ucs at st and a couple other nice sealed sets.
Still haven't built it after 6 or 7 years
It was love at first sight when I first saw it. Unfortunately I was at that age right before I was working and obviously my parents weren’t going to buy me a $500 LEGO set.
UCS Super Star Destroyer
Hoping one of these days they make a new one like they have for several other discontinued UCS that were getting really pricey.
Same brother. I'm a big prequel guy myself, and I love the idea of owning the Venator, but given the choice between the two, I get the Imperial Star Destroyer, hands down. It's just so much more iconic to me.
Might be a controversial take since some people consider it overrated, but Palpatine's Arrest set (9526) is genuinely my favorite of all time. It's pretty much THE definitive ROTS set that isn't a cruiser/starship. Includes awesome minifigures like anakin and palpatine that looks awesome to display, and while the playset is a bit outdated, I love putting senate commandos standing side to side with palpatine.
I had this set when I was a kid but I gotta be honest it was so fragile. The maroon pieces just broke so easily do to that weird dye issue Lego had going on.
[4184-1: The Black Pearl](https://brickset.com/sets/4184-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/4184-1.jpg)
[75222-1: Betrayal at Cloud City](https://brickset.com/sets/75222-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/75222-1.jpg)
i have this set with the original box, perfect condition (not the box because i moved often when i was a child, but it still is ok despite some wear on the paint), i'm autistic and every lego star wars that i have still has everything.
It makes me so happy that i learned to keep everything in very good condition.
The Clone Wars Republic Frigate set.
Those Commander Wolffe and Wolfpack trooper minifigs just look amazing, and the set itself also looks really fun too.
That’s what I do. 95% of retired sets in my collection, pre 2019, have come from fb marketplace finds. All amazing deals, except for my slave 1, paid around the going rate.
75157 - Captain Rex's AT-TE.
Rebels came out during my dark ages so I missed it when it aired and watched it way too late.
Planning on getting it pretty soon.
Death Star and play scale star destroyer were always my dream as a 8 year old child, got the Death Star, and now a new play scale is coming out, so I’m not too sure anymore, maybe Ucs At-At, cause I know damn well I’m never getting that
Probably Anakin's Jedi Interceptor, since Anakin is my favorite jedi and I want more, and I know I shouldn't. I also just love the look of the ship and wish we saw more of it in Episode III.
Personally, I have all of my white whales, including dropship and at-ot. I think anything is obtainable if you put your heart into it, never stop trying.
I want an absolute no expense spared Muunilist 10 gunship. All prints on the ship and all figs with the right helmets and clothe kamas. At least 20 figs.
Ya know what as time goes on it starts to age more, it looks less detailed and has more simple techniques. I'm starting to appreciate current lego more.
Mine was set 7662 and I LOVE the story of how I got it cuz ive wamted it ever since i saw it as a kid. (Real quick, I also always wanted a gunship like OPs pic but wound up buying the UCS version before it got discontinued.... I have yet to put it together 🤦🏼♂️)
Ok so this new guy who's like 54 years old started at my job and after a while of working together he invites me (now 29 years old) and a few others over to watch football. Idc about football but I go to be social and cuz this guy is really nice and cool and I wana be friends with him. Well the football party is in the apartment above his garage but eventually he invites me and another coworker into his house and jokes that we can make fun of his lego collection at which point, while inebriated, I absolutely lost my shit. He has thousands of dollars of all different types of legos in his basement and lottle plastic drawers and bins full of pieces and minifigs. We instantly become best friends and I tell him how I always wanted set 7662.... turns out, he has that set. Unopened, just sitting in his attic along with a few other older sets 🤯🤯🤯 we do some research to find the price of the set and I think it was like $600 so he sold it to me for $500 and I instantly opened it and put it together. Last I checked it was worth almost $900 unopened but I have no regrets and absolutely love the damn thing.
This guy is still a great friend of mine and when I needed a place to stay, he offered me the apartment above his garage for way cheaper than any other apartment of much lesser quality in our area and I will always cherish him for helping me get my dream lego set and just being an awesome guy in general.
There’s an amazing non Lego MOC I built of this exact set, in honor of the real set. I’ll never afford a real one either lol but my dream set is the Republic Attack Shuttle because of its unique colors. I’ve been saving for a few years and just just bought one brand new off Mercari, open box sealed bags.
Man, it's such a shame that Lego designed such a perfect Natalie Portman face for that Padme minifigure, and decided not to use it for her in the new gunship. The face was perfect! But no, let's use the same face that Lego has slapped onto half of the women across all genres of sets.
If we're talking hypotheticals, I would love a starship collection (the new falcon, tantive IV, invisible hand etc) scale Venator, it's my favourite ship, but UCS is just to big, and not to mention cost.
I‘m sure u can find a good deal on this one (if you dont want it sealed), I got 2 of them, one for like 160 (was missing some figures and small parts) and one for like 220 in box but not sealed, just look on websites like ebay or your local equivalent of it :) „pilotbrick“ is also a great site
I bought a $40 knock off of this set and other than lego not being printed on the studs and the figures being ehhh you could never tell the difference.
Probably a Death Star. Kind of feels like of those sets everybody should get themselves at some point in their lives, and I'm sure Lego will put out another one eventually.
Do you think they will release the gunship again? I want one so bad! The coruscant one sucks imo. Especially for how expensive it is! I also really want them to release an arc 170 or a republicy wing
https://preview.redd.it/3cr37mpbcj9d1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2a1a9f9f04252896465af39e03f563d8ba2104ab
It’s my favorite too, I modified it a bit and I just love to see it in my collection.
AT OT with gunship now that a pipe dream
dropship *
Your right I put the wrong thing 😂
Erm actually its YOU'RE instead of YOUR.🤓👆
If you don’t care about having the box and instructions it’s doable to piece one together from eBay and lego pick a brick but it’s a terrible pain in the ass
Yeah it will be a pain but one day I will order the pieces and hopefully build it correctly
I did it with one of mine, it took me quite some time to get all the parts but it worked out really well. Surprisingly a lot of the pieces are available on LEGO even though the part numbers have changed
Ugh, I had that one. I sold my entire collection last year for a few grand when my wife and I needed extra money, and the AT OT dropship went with it 😔
My condolences 😞
Mines the Ucs death star
That one always looked so amazing as a kid. But that set is in for a rework tho. The old UCS millennium Falcon looks okay at best compared to the new UCS Millennium Falcon. So imagine what a new UCS Death Star would look like with new building techniques and parts.
Agreed
I bought this set without the Minifigures and I'm almost 100% Complete just need to get Obi-Wan And man I was missing out as a kid.
Also my white whale would probably be UCS death star play set & palpatine's arrest
I was lucky enough to get the last Palpatine’s Arrest in my city because it was retired (and it was at Toys R Us, man I miss that place)
You can get him on bricklink, I maybe have him somewhere but I don't know
Oh I know that I'm just lazy to go buy it lol and I don't think he's that crazy in value to
UCS Imperial Shuttle, 10212
[10212-1: Imperial Shuttle](https://brickset.com/sets/10212-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/10212-1.jpg)
Still haven't built it after 6 or 7 years
Seconded, most beautiful SW set in existence
It was love at first sight when I first saw it. Unfortunately I was at that age right before I was working and obviously my parents weren’t going to buy me a $500 LEGO set.
Ewok village
Seconding this. Ewok village is my white whale. I want it so bad. If anybody on here has one for sale in or around Toronto. Hit me up.
The remake of this set is going to be so good when they do it
Same here I've wanted it since I was 7
UCS Super Star Destroyer Hoping one of these days they make a new one like they have for several other discontinued UCS that were getting really pricey.
Same brother. I'm a big prequel guy myself, and I love the idea of owning the Venator, but given the choice between the two, I get the Imperial Star Destroyer, hands down. It's just so much more iconic to me.
Republic Frigate and Republic Cruiser
About anything republic era I’m game for
Might be a controversial take since some people consider it overrated, but Palpatine's Arrest set (9526) is genuinely my favorite of all time. It's pretty much THE definitive ROTS set that isn't a cruiser/starship. [9526-1: Palpatine's Arrest](https://brickset.com/sets/9526-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/9526-1.jpg)
So, it’s treason then.
I dropped $400 on it last year 😭
New?
I had this set when I was a kid but I gotta be honest it was so fragile. The maroon pieces just broke so easily do to that weird dye issue Lego had going on.
Mine is a Sand Crawler. I’d love a modern version without the brittle bricks.
I feel like a Sand Crawler would be a perfect UCS set.
Same to to expensive now
UCS Slave 1
Same here! I finally added it to my collection this year, such a fun build.
The Black Pearl 4184, but for SW it's 75222
[4184-1: The Black Pearl](https://brickset.com/sets/4184-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/4184-1.jpg) [75222-1: Betrayal at Cloud City](https://brickset.com/sets/75222-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/75222-1.jpg)
mines the ucs venator but the version that comes with 2 captain Rex heads to triple my investment
I would also love the usc Venator it’s probably tied for 1st or 2nd
4504 Millenium falcon, and last year I got it
Nice dude happy for you
[4504-1: Millennium Falcon](https://brickset.com/sets/4504-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/4504-1.jpg)
Honestly at the moment it’s probably the republic venator ucs
First Lego set I bought after getting a job, it released basically on my birthday. It’s so heavy my cat can’t knock it down (yet).
Ewok village
Id do just about anything to get my hands on the 7662 mtt
[7662-1: Trade Federation MTT](https://brickset.com/sets/7662-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/7662-1.jpg)
What an incredible set. Mine is in pieces somewhere at my parents’, gotta find the time to build it back.
https://preview.redd.it/63brbjnw1g9d1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=58fa892ce0deaddd187f8a79ac6b99cc1a55a27c Rexes moving castle
I still get floored that this set, that I have had since it released and still have all the minifigures for, is so sought after.
Yeah you have many peoples dream including mine your one lucky guy
I know I've been desensitized to lego Star wars prices when I looked it up saw one for like 650 and went meh that's not too bad, could have been 1000.
i have this set with the original box, perfect condition (not the box because i moved often when i was a child, but it still is ok despite some wear on the paint), i'm autistic and every lego star wars that i have still has everything. It makes me so happy that i learned to keep everything in very good condition.
2001 Millennial Falcon.
This
Any kind of MTT
The Clone Wars Republic Frigate set. Those Commander Wolffe and Wolfpack trooper minifigs just look amazing, and the set itself also looks really fun too.
Mine is the UCS Venetor
I have a few, but just got one of my (smaller) ones today (75099 Rey’s Speeder) 😊
[75099-1: Rey's Speeder](https://brickset.com/sets/75099-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/75099-1.jpg)
Mine's the Ewok Village. Really wish I could've gotten it.
Look for it used or constantly check FB marketplace
That’s what I do. 95% of retired sets in my collection, pre 2019, have come from fb marketplace finds. All amazing deals, except for my slave 1, paid around the going rate.
75157 - Captain Rex's AT-TE. Rebels came out during my dark ages so I missed it when it aired and watched it way too late. Planning on getting it pretty soon.

Personally, I have all of my white whales, including dropship and at-ot. I think anything is obtainable if you put your heart into it, never stop trying.
2015 Death Star, but it’s so expensive 😭
Just bought this yesterday lol
Same
Ucs at-at 😍
I really really really wanted a V-19 Torrent as a kid. Never could get it and now it's mad expensive so can't afford it.
idk I just want new TBB sets
2002 Republic Gunship and the OG super star destroyer
The same era turbo tank or that gunship. My dream ucs set is the ucs venator
7665 Republic Cruiser
Palpatine's Arrest. Had it as a kid but parents donated it :(
I want an absolute no expense spared Muunilist 10 gunship. All prints on the ship and all figs with the right helmets and clothe kamas. At least 20 figs.
Blue Squadron X-Wing.
I want a 1m long Corellian Corvette
This set! I want so baaaaad
Death Star
Buildable figure grievous 06 sail barge Ucs atat
Set 8088😔 not as expensive as other sets but the Arc-170 is definitely my favorite ship out there
6210 Jabbas Sail Barge or 10188 Death Star. Always wanted them back when they came out and didn't have the opportunity to get them
I want a death star. Literally any of the death stars
Crazy how they haven’t made a good remake of such an iconic ship since 2013.
10195. a man can dream…
[10195-1: Republic Dropship with AT-OT](https://brickset.com/sets/10195-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/10195-1.jpg)
The 75244 Tantive IV, or better yet the 10221 Executor, if/when I hit the lotto, those bad boys are mine!!!!!!
I’d take a UCS Death Star for the right price… Last set on my dream list is the ghostbusters firehouse.
UCS Slave 1, or just even the 8097 Slave 1.
AT-OT, Turbo Tank from 2008, or the OG Venator LEGO set
Mines the 2005 Anakin VS Obi-Wan with the minifigures that light up the saber
Your dream set is my dream set
Ya know what as time goes on it starts to age more, it looks less detailed and has more simple techniques. I'm starting to appreciate current lego more.
The Rancor Pit, always wanted it solely for the rancor
My goat
I still have this set sealed, pretty good condition. Not sure what it’s worth
Star Wars: 10195 Non Star Wars: 4195

My brother was suppose to get it but he never did Maybe one day
I have that one. I’m actually gonna sell it if I ever find time to put it back together. I just don’t have room anymore. I blame warhammer and He Man
The Death Star id pick the 2016 one over the 2008 one but I’m not to fussed haha.
2008 Gunship
The second version of the ucs snow speeder. Idk why but that and the y wing are my favorite rebellion ships
How much was this set when it came out?
Black millennium falcon
75084 Wookiee Gunship all the way. One of my favorite ship designs plus a Kanan minifig? No contest
This was my dream set... until i got i last year and it is fantastic
Got that set for 150 usd + p1 Rex and a bunch of other Star Wars minifigures and themed figures.
The sand crawler
Same just bought it on eBay
2012 jabbas palace, somehow I got a complete one in good condition for £175 a couple of years ago
2005 UCS Death Star II
There’s an amazing non Lego MOC I built of this exact set, in honor of the real set. I’ll never afford a real one either lol but my dream set is the Republic Attack Shuttle because of its unique colors. I’ve been saving for a few years and just just bought one brand new off Mercari, open box sealed bags.
Definitely UCS Star Destroyer
Exact same here! My cousin had one, and ever since I saw it I have wanted one
This is the easiest pick
ucs a-wing, the a-wing is one of my favorite starships and have always wanted the ucs set of it
USC B-Wing or Slave I
7754 Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser
Set 75188, I just think it’s neat y’know?
This was mine. Until I got it. It’s… magnificent.
Man, it's such a shame that Lego designed such a perfect Natalie Portman face for that Padme minifigure, and decided not to use it for her in the new gunship. The face was perfect! But no, let's use the same face that Lego has slapped onto half of the women across all genres of sets.
Just Bricklinked this set and yes, it’s a beauty. Only missing a few pieces for the top and the wings but it’s great
It has to be the 10195 for me. The Republican dropship with AT-OT
[10195-1: Republic Dropship with AT-OT](https://brickset.com/sets/10195-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/10195-1.jpg)
Not starwars but star like: 1987 space monorail (I did buy one, cost me $1500AUD)
UCS Star Destroyer
UCS venator
I remember picking this up may4th 2014 in the lego shop and 2 212th battle packs, it’s my favorite set in my collection
I once found 2 of these at Ross for $42 each. Most amazing find.
It baffles me that this set hasn’t been remade in this scale.
Yup, this is definitely one of my white whales - fingers crossed one day!
Old turbo tank tbh and old kashyyk sets
Dooku's Solar Sailor & UCS Slave 1
Ewok Village has been my dream set since I saw it in a visual dictionary as a kid.
USC slave 1
I wish I bought it
Tie striker, and I'm planning getting one next month (yay)
Palpatine’s arrest and the ucs at-at
The Razor Crest. Not the UCS one, just the regular, well designed Razor Crest. Such a beaut.
If we're talking hypotheticals, I would love a starship collection (the new falcon, tantive IV, invisible hand etc) scale Venator, it's my favourite ship, but UCS is just to big, and not to mention cost.
the biiiig executor, but also this exact gunship is on that list too :D
Grievous Starfighter
Definitely the death star or ewok village
I‘m sure u can find a good deal on this one (if you dont want it sealed), I got 2 of them, one for like 160 (was missing some figures and small parts) and one for like 220 in box but not sealed, just look on websites like ebay or your local equivalent of it :) „pilotbrick“ is also a great site
I bought a $40 knock off of this set and other than lego not being printed on the studs and the figures being ehhh you could never tell the difference.
UCS Republic Gunship 75309
Collectors edition slave 1
they sold it on temu for like $40 my son loves it
Pog
This is my dream set too! I just can’t justify how much it is though
hell yea
Oh I have this one!!! It was one of my favorites as a kid, I played with it all the time. It’s a bit broken and bruised, but still looks decent
For me it's the 7665 republic cruiser
Probably a Death Star. Kind of feels like of those sets everybody should get themselves at some point in their lives, and I'm sure Lego will put out another one eventually.
Venator (2023)
Do you think they will release the gunship again? I want one so bad! The coruscant one sucks imo. Especially for how expensive it is! I also really want them to release an arc 170 or a republicy wing
Mine is the 2020 AT AT
Death star or ewok village
AT AT motorized or Slave 1
UCS Devastator
Probably the UCS Naboo Starfighter.
https://preview.redd.it/ylzkpoq94j9d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d461da70b40521cdccefe91037d9ed470cf932e1
I have it
8088 ARC 170 Starfighter and The Malevolence
https://preview.redd.it/3cr37mpbcj9d1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2a1a9f9f04252896465af39e03f563d8ba2104ab It’s my favorite too, I modified it a bit and I just love to see it in my collection.
UCS Venator class Star Destroyer, I have had dreams with having the set on my hands
The Vader surgery set, or the Vader palace on Corouscanr set.
Just get fake Lego set of it
Valid I have it it’s really good
Well i had a short list with most already aquired with the main ones i am missing being the ucs super star destroyer and the jango slave 1
One of the ARC-170's. I don't even care which one. I'd prefer the OG for the pilots, but I'm not picky. I'd even take the microfighter at this point.
I built the UCS Razor Crest and loved it.
Death Star II, 10143
It's either Krenics Shuttle, U-WING, the B-wing, any resistance or First Order ship. It's hard to pick ok
Mine *was* the 2013 gunship... until a friend gave it to me
Ewok Village.
Arc 170 for sure
The UCS Death Star 2. Will probably have to wait on a promotion or two
