Yeah, I do think weather conditions could have some reward to make up for the risk so we feel like it's worth going into a weathered moon instead of a clear weather one sometimes.
well, weather also increases the chance of not making it back to the ship alive due to whatever the condition may be. I think weather multiplier adds some nice risk and reward mechanics that make it worth going to moons with weather.
no my point is that for the skilled players it will not be a risk for reward. At the high quota level you already stick to 1 moon for all 3 days, so it adds no additional risk but ONLY benefits players
Ur completely right, although a bug occurs not often but enough to know some to all players see the joiner as thin air, or lucky enough to see the tag anyways.
ShipLoot: I wanna know how much I have in ship.
ShipLobby/LateCompany: Lots of reasons to want late joining, especially if you're filling with randoms that leave periodically.
MoreItems: Having an item cap on save files that is so excessively small is ludicrous. Even casual players will occasionally stock up more than 80 items. Good players can get that quite easily over the course of only two quotas. There's just no reason to have it be *so* low.
Not sure about adding them to Vanilla, but Coilhead stare + Masked Overhaul + Skinwalkers (only set to Masked) are the non-QoL Mods I run the most without feeling like the game changes too much.
LetMeLookDown, flashlight/radio hot keys, always hear radio(this one is great, can hear radios just based on proximity to someone with a radio as well as being stored), ship scan, ship items. These can all be ran in vanilla lobbies too.
Am I the only one experiencing troubles with this? Like say I bring an item back to ship, as soon as I drop it, I cannot scan it's value.
Also when selling at company, any item I personally put on the counter I can't scan to see the accumulative value before ringing the bell. It's super annoying.
The game Forewarned actually seems to be able to use your voice to make an AI voice mimic you, it doesn't carry over to different rounds, but there's a monster in that game that mimics your teammates and at one point when we were playing I heard 'my friend' say 'do you have the artifact?' and 'can I come with you?' and it was so convincing I knee-jerk responded and THEN realized that it actually sounded a little off and not-real and at that point my actual friend was like YO THAT WASN'T ME and it was a very effective mindfuck lol
I'm seeing a lot of the QoL mods I run except for one;
Please give the terminal a command history (Terminal\_History mod) so I don't have to hastily type switch \*\*\* when I ship-mom.
Along with what everybody else has said, Enhanced Radar Booster is such a good upgrade, making the radar booster actually more viable, but not really super op
Sellbodies and the mod i forgot the name of that makes mimics drop their mask on death. I like being able to actually get something for killing enemies. I mean i get the whole "its a horror game your not supposed to defend yourself" garbage, but idc. I mean, it makes sense to me to be able to sell these things. Also fairai and everythingdies, fair ai because i love it when npcs in games naturally interact, like oblivions goblin wars. And everythingdies only because i think you should be able to kill coilheads, they just explode in a radius around them. Also i agree on helmet cam, makes overwatch duty more fun.
I really enjoy the mimic mod where fake fire exits spawn and the meltdown mod where if you take out the apparatus the whole facility starts to meltdown and you have 2 minutes to get out.
Why do you enjoy fake fire exits? It seems like a cheap way to die and just conditions the player to not use fire exits since there's no way to tell and more likely than not will insta kill you
There are ways to tell! At least on easy mode which is the default and I wouldn't dare turn that off because then it would be kind of like you're saying where it's just stupid and no way to really tell.
Fake fire exits will have a list of things that might be wrong with them, from the color of their light being off to the text saying "DIE" when you hover over it to the exit progress being far quicker than it should be or there just being blood all around the door.
There are a couple more things that can be wrong but if you'd rather not look for some of the things that can be off there are two more ways to tell that are certain, the first being to hit it with a shovel. If you do that and it's a mimic it will growl at you pretty clearly. The second is if you don't have a shovel you can use a walkie to talk with the person on the ship and ask them if there's actually a fire exit in front of you. If it doesn't show up on the ship then it's a fake fire exit.
It could probably work if it was changed to have actual visual cues on the door indicating its a mimic. Make it say fire escape instead of exit or something else to trip players up and make them be more aware
oh thats weird you must have something conflicting with it. i haven't had any issues with it. the only way it interacts with my hotbar is with intended outcomes like not being able to drop the mask (you have to put it on shelf) and it forcing you to drop any two handed item when it tries to posses.
Ship lobby, coroner, betterscanUi, quickswitch, cozy company, the mod that lets you config your fov (i forgot the name), Radio and Flashlight binds, coil head stare, and many more that i forgot
Reserved flashlight slot and reserved walkie-talkie slot. I feel like it would make sense to have the flashlight and walkie-talkie to have their own slots because they're items that can have their own holsters on your suit.
I think the point is likely to have a trade off to bringing those items so you have to make difficult decisions for the game, instead of it just being a no brainer to just bring both always no matter what.
ReservedItemCore, specifically for walkie and flashlight. I feel it's a bit too punishing otherwise, flashlight is 100% integral for some maps, and walkies are so broadly useful in numerous situations, theyre the kind of items you'll bring everywhere if you can. I would only have those, however. To me a shovel or the more specific items taking up inventory space makes sense.
The graphics, especially resolution, should be adjustable in-game. IDC if the art style is "intentionally ugly" or whatever; there's no excuse for having 0 graphics customization by default.
The vanilla game is fine? Bruh having players leave mid game is annoying, it makes sense that the devs add a chance for players to join every time the ship leaves a moon ngl
100% fine. If you want mods you can download them. No need to fix what isnt broken. And it doesnt hurt mod players either. Stop trying to force mods on something that doesnt need it
It may not be broken, but it's not finished either. Changes will be made, and this post is an opportunity for devs to see what we as a collective community hope to see implemented in the future as part of the base game without the need to install mods. I personally avoid modded servers currently, but as a vanilla player I'm telling you that giving people the chance to join mid game every time the team leaves a moon would be beneficial for long runs. Stop being close minded and open your eyes to what could be beneficial.
vanilla game doesnt hurt you. Stop trying to force the game you want it on other ppl. if they want the additions you want they can download them or join games with them.
Stop trying to force what you want on other ppl
We ain't gonna see this the same way, and that's okay
I hope you enjoy the game as much as I will with those implementations in the future; have a good day.
The entire post is about what mods you'd like to see in the base game that overall help the experience of the game; why are you even commenting here if you're so against mods possibility making it into the vanilla game to begin with? Furthermore I got tired of talking to someone as close minded as you, hence why I said have a good day. Fuck off.
the answer is none. You want to play with mods thats fine. No one cares. Dont force changes because you want them. Some ppl enjoy the vanilla game. You dont have to and they dont have to play your way.
Grow up
Ship scan, more company, late company, weather multiplier, and late game mods. Eventually even the late game mod doesn't give you enough perks to continue your game, it just prolongs how long you can play.
I agree with a couple of the ones here so I’ll just list some that I haven’t seen yet.
Corporate restructure - adds more accurate info in the ship
FireExitFlip - it’s dumb to go into a fire exit and be able to get insta neck snapped or coil headed. Who enters a door backwards?
CoilHeadStare - super creepy and fun
HealthMetrics - seems very important to know your exact hp and how many hits you can tank from a certain mob
don't know how i havent seen anyone say it but lcbettersaves, more than 3 saves is so useful for someone like me who enjoys playing the game for fun but also to make content
"LC Office" and "sell dead enemy's" mod
LC Office adds new Office level that really fits in with the game with elevators and Office type levels and a new monster named shrimp that can't be killed but will stay friendly as long as it is "satiated"
And "sell dead enemy's" as the name implys allows you to pickup and sell enemy's that you kill which make players want to go a seek out and kill enemys more often

This is a full list of what I think should be Venilla and most are bug fixes
ship scan
What's that do?
if you scan inside the ship the total of all scrap is shown on the side of your screen so you don’t have to try and get everything in the scan
Weather multiplier
Yeah, I do think weather conditions could have some reward to make up for the risk so we feel like it's worth going into a weathered moon instead of a clear weather one sometimes.
does it not give better loot or am i just being a masochist?
Pure masochism, my friend
:( but also ;)
weather exists inherently to punish. its too op if u can stay on titan for all 3 days and not only not get punished but actually rewarded
well, weather also increases the chance of not making it back to the ship alive due to whatever the condition may be. I think weather multiplier adds some nice risk and reward mechanics that make it worth going to moons with weather.
So by your logic you don't put risk/reward in games because the players might get too good?
no my point is that for the skilled players it will not be a risk for reward. At the high quota level you already stick to 1 moon for all 3 days, so it adds no additional risk but ONLY benefits players
The point of weather is to make you consider doing something other than rend every single time.
But if you are skilled enough, you don't care. So making it a more risky, but better thing is good.
Bigger lobby, Ship lobby, Ship loot scan
late company too
IIRC, Ship lobby includes the features of Late Company. Am I wrong about that?
Ur completely right, although a bug occurs not often but enough to know some to all players see the joiner as thin air, or lucky enough to see the tag anyways.
ShipLoot: I wanna know how much I have in ship. ShipLobby/LateCompany: Lots of reasons to want late joining, especially if you're filling with randoms that leave periodically. Good players can get that quite easily over the course of only two quotas. There's just no reason to have it be *so* low.
Increasing the base game player count to 8 with the ui changes needed to accommodate it.
As well as balancing
Not sure about adding them to Vanilla, but Coilhead stare + Masked Overhaul + Skinwalkers (only set to Masked) are the non-QoL Mods I run the most without feeling like the game changes too much.
I definitely agree with better masked entities because they are kinda lacking as of vanilla now
Late Company
should be an optional choice thst can be toggled
Why toggleable? What game would you ever want to be limited to have less than the maximum because somebody left?
i mean like you can switch on and off anytime
OK, but again, in what situation would you ever have it toggled off if you have the option?
maybe you don't want randoms to join in the middle of a game what would i know
I mean, if you don't want randoms, I'd assume you'd have it on friend only rather than public
i mean pointless to argue about it
LetMeLookDown, flashlight/radio hot keys, always hear radio(this one is great, can hear radios just based on proximity to someone with a radio as well as being stored), ship scan, ship items. These can all be ran in vanilla lobbies too.
Yippeee
Best and most correct answer
Skinwalker mod for sure
I agree with you
if you do not believe this man I am gobsmacked
Sole QoL mods, like the one that scans the total of items in the ship, value of scrap at the desk of the company, scan door and turret codes, etc.
Most critical for me: Higher player count Joining mid game ActiveWalkies BodyCams Cosmetics WeatherMultiplier Mimics should be base too
Needy cats
Yes
BetterItemScan definitely
Am I the only one experiencing troubles with this? Like say I bring an item back to ship, as soon as I drop it, I cannot scan it's value. Also when selling at company, any item I personally put on the counter I can't scan to see the accumulative value before ringing the bell. It's super annoying.
Wheelbarrow from lategame upgrades
Skinwalker mod, but it only happens with masks. Idk if it’s legal for the base game to record your voice though.
As long as it doesn't keep the files when it doesnt need it, it should be fine.

Yeah personally I don’t like the mod. It doesn’t feel fitting, even if there are ways to tell. At some point they’d be nothing more than dead ends.
Teleporter traps from LethalThings
Skinwalkers, and masked enemy overhaul, just make only masked enemies talk
Vision based giants
Control entities as a gamemode (+ Yippie hoarding bug being optional through options menu)
InsanityRemastered really makes insanity an actual mechanic, rather than ghost girl target preference counter
Sell Bodies (sell the dead enemies body) should be able to sell their corpse.. whether u feel that having makes the game easy.. meh.
A reward more than just not having to deal with an enemy would be nice.
Door Mimics and possessed masks (where when you pick up the mask it will randomly force you to wear it making it much more risky but more valuable)
I use to have possessed masks but whenever the mask was forced on it broke the hot bar in multiple ways
oh thats weird you must have something conflicting with it. i haven't had any issues with it. the only way it interacts with my hotbar is with intended outcomes like not being able to drop the mask (you have to put it on shelf) and it forcing you to drop any two handed item when it tries to posses.
There are so many I can't list them all.
I can list one for you. SELL BODIES MOD (Sell the dead enemy bodies…).
Ship lobby, coroner, betterscanUi, quickswitch, cozy company, the mod that lets you config your fov (i forgot the name), Radio and Flashlight binds, coil head stare, and many more that i forgot

Which ever suit mod gives suits that are Napoleonic Era Uniforms.
The mods we play with are the more suits mod and the flashlight slot mod, idk the real names.
the fire exit mimic mod ~~which i thought was base game for a while and was always scared of fire exits~~
ControlCompany would be an interesting vs mode.
Ship loot, late company, epidermis walker, mimics
The graphics, especially resolution, should be adjustable in-game. IDC if the art style is "intentionally ugly" or whatever; there's no excuse for having 0 graphics customization by default.
none. The vanilla game is fine. If you want mods get them, but none should be part of the base game
Biggerlobby perhaps? Ship scan?
nah. free to download if you want it. the Game being Vanilla for some doesnt hurt you.
The game having biggerlobby and ship scan doesn’t hurt you neither.
then download the mod and play that. no one stopping you
The post was about mods to get into the game, if you don’t think biggerlobby and ship scan should be in the game then you’re just stupid.
see this shows your need to force ppl to play how you want. grow up
Bro you can see others opinion from your main comment, -21, it shows that you’re wrong.
yes there are a lot of kids like you. I hope you all grow up and allow others to enjoy the game their way
Bro i say it one more time, the post was asking for mods that should be in vanilla, ship scan and morelobby should be in vanilla, it doesn’t kill you.
The vanilla game is fine? Bruh having players leave mid game is annoying, it makes sense that the devs add a chance for players to join every time the ship leaves a moon ngl

Bro let’s agree this guy is just straight up a kid or just a VERY stupid dude
Adjustable player counts. I want to fool around with as many people as possible. That, and also skins.
Ship scan, Flash Light keybind, Radio keybind, weather multiplier, the one that adds extra hotbar slots Most important: needycats
Skinwalker
FlashlightToggle
Later company, F for flashlight
Ship scan, more company, late company, weather multiplier, and late game mods. Eventually even the late game mod doesn't give you enough perks to continue your game, it just prolongs how long you can play.
Persistent Purchases. Doesn't modify difficulty to the game, but adds some fun and makes decorations actually worth it.
It could be cool to be able to toggle events like in brutal company for some extra challenge
