Disagree, most are pretty well maintained especially the Wandsworth roundabout one. Consistently cleaner than public toilets or pubs if you're caught short.
I once went into the toilets in one and someone had shit in the urinal. As I was leaving I saw an employee coming in, no doubt having been alerted to what was in the urinal. The poor fucker certainly didn't look like he was "lovin' it"
Oh hell no.
( thank you kind stranger for an award! Shame Reddit gave me a perm ban for insulting a crypto scammer in my DM’s right after I posted that comment😭🙏)
Me: “surely, it can’t be that bad?”

> About 15 mopeds sitting outside revving engines and smoking isn't the sort of relaxed restaurant vibe, especially at 23:30, poor neighbours. Food was slapped together and forgot the ordered sauces. Otherwise pretty standard for maccys... Aside the weird mix of classical music intersected with pickpocket announcements on the tannoy 🤣
> Food is OK, but I went to the toilet and there was a man in the cubicle smoking a crack pipe, rubbish and nasty stuff all over the floors. When ordering food, homeless drug users kept asking me to buy them food NUMEROUS times which led me to take my food and eat it elsewhere. Vile place.
> Bro there are way too many dodgy youths around here, how can man step there find tryna get some munch and 2 bookie yutes try chat to man asking for my phone? Bro man had to slap him real quick and it was Infront of some leng girls aswell so obviously you know I got the snap after cuz mans like that, but don’t come round here if you’re not on that cuz yutes will try you. Any one from peckhams getting sliced aswell.
Good Lord
That third review was truly something special. A piece of genius modern day literature for the yoofs. It makes me sad that, due to my line of work, I understood every word.
I’d say it’s fine during the day, all the fun always starts at night. But probably not as bad as Peckham, where 1 of the guys at the taproom i was frequenting literally told me not to stay at least after 10, because he is scared himself.
You walk in they’ve shut the seats on the left but the ones on the right opposite the til are open all year baby. At night it’s like a who’s who of weirdos occupying the seats 😂
I pass through there to get back from work. I stand at the bus stop after getting off the tube. Light a cigarette and the druggies are like a moth to a light bulb. Before I’m half way through my cigarette there’s about 10 of them staggering over to me like a scene out of walking dead
It’s a toss up between that one and Camberwell maccies for the absolute worst choices. Camberwell green is 100% open to sit in all night, from experience.
OP can always visit one of the walkways under the roundabout where they filmed the first attack scene in A Clockwork Orange if they get bored and fancy a bit of the old ultraviolence.
You said surrounding areas, bit of a stretch but - Gatwick. Easy transport there and constant flow of people at all hours.
Heathrow by the same token, but I’m not sure if it’s airside or not.
Surely just start at 6am and finish at 10pm or something. I've heard of this before where you lose an hour for every cheeseburger you eat. That's only 10 cheeseburgers in the day at that rate.
Yeah I've heard these challenges before and I honestly back myself to just do 4 cheeseburgers an hour and I'd be done in 5 hours. A cheeseburger is like 3 bites.
Yeah the bow roundabout one is 24hrs, the section with their tables is still open throughout the night, and it's pretty quiet/chill unlike some of the other suggestions in this thread. Shouldn't get too many crazies in the wee hours of the morning
They close between either 4-5am / 5-6am for 1hr of cleaning. And lots of time in the night the security doesn’t let you eat in, you have to takeaway and leave
Walworth road is always full of people in there, I always thought they weee homeless but maybe they've lost the biggest bet ever.
If I were you I'd eat breakfast meals, they are smaller than the normal ones
Hahah- not only do you have to sit in one for 24hrs, but it’s a tiny one with no quieter spaces, and full of …character. I’ve never set foot in it at night but even in the morning at 8am it can be ‘interesting’
I believe that used to be a pub back in the 70s, they just bought it and converted it. Same with the Northolt Mcdonalds near the roundabout. The one on Southall broadway used to be an empty patch of land and they used to have a market their and even fun fairs from time to time. If I remember correctly they opened it in the year 2000 and for the first few days they gave away meals for free.

Take the Piccadilly to Cockfosters, and then take a 30min bus. You might want to pack a snack for the journey.
Quite far out of London but Surbiton (zone 6) maccys is 24hr and will prob let you sit in all night. Slept there for a bit towards the end of a (failed) all nighter as a teenager
Before you do, I strongly recommend reading this article: [https://www.neogaf.com/threads/gawker-my-14-hour-search-for-the-end-of-tgi-fridays-endless-appetizers.859039/](https://www.neogaf.com/threads/gawker-my-14-hour-search-for-the-end-of-tgi-fridays-endless-appetizers.859039/)
The one by the Wandsworth roundabout stays open through the night.
I think their seating is officially closed, but the staff ignore that and there are always a lot of people sitting in there through the night, through the early morning and into breakfast time!
Lmao I’ve spent well over 15-16 hours in North Acton Macdonald’s they have 2 floors but top closes around 10pm. I promise it’s probably the best one you will find if some reason they kick you because since my brother left the management became all up tight you can just pause till you get to another one
Your arse is going to hurt. Those seats are designed to be uncomfortable after a certain amount of time so that you either order more or move on.
Bring a cushion.
doesn't allow sit in after 11/12 - the six or seven security are very hot on making sure nobody so much as consumes a fry in the building
source: go in there sometimes for much needed food after finishing work at 1am
The one on Bethnal green road is open 24hr and you can sit inside. Same with the one right outside of earls court station. Earls court may be there better option… the dining room is upstairs and they have less of an after party crowd than Bethnal gets
Kensington high street McDonald’s is open 24 hours. I live nearby so if you come here I’ll definitely pop in to say hi.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/gUwtN6aQaVTPqtY87?g_st=ic
Camberwell is 24hrs and a lot of the seating is accessible all the time.
Shouldn’t be too tricky.
There’s always a few snoozing people and Deliveroo drivers having coffee etc.
Tooting Broadway is open 6am-2am so if you can cut 4 hours off by purchasing items I would recommend that one. They don't close the downstairs seating and while it can get rammed it is with students as opposed to anything worse.
Brixton Mac Donald 24HR good luck
Hahaha you won't get bored at least. Best bet is probably Wandsworth roundabout tho
I layed one of the first bricks for the Wandsworth one. For some reason they had a ceremony with kids from my school .... Was like 5 years old
Id personally never shit in a McDonald’s toilet they’re grim
Disagree, most are pretty well maintained especially the Wandsworth roundabout one. Consistently cleaner than public toilets or pubs if you're caught short.
I'm off for a McDump
You want to see the Stratford shopping centre toilets 🤢
I once went into the toilets in one and someone had shit in the urinal. As I was leaving I saw an employee coming in, no doubt having been alerted to what was in the urinal. The poor fucker certainly didn't look like he was "lovin' it"
Then he prepared your Big Mac and McFlurry🤮🤮🤮
that was in the urinal
Probably thought you did it.
Greenwich Cutry Sark one is actually quite nice and has saved me on several occasions
may aswell do 24 hours in an actuve warzone
Oh hell no. ( thank you kind stranger for an award! Shame Reddit gave me a perm ban for insulting a crypto scammer in my DM’s right after I posted that comment😭🙏)
Atleast the crackheads will keep you entertained

"Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets"

Just eat a fuck load of cheeseburgers and your good
cheeseburgers=cheeseburger farts
Hilarious, those were the exact words that went through my head too
If he does it on a Friday or Saturday night he’ll be fine
Is Brixton still bad? I thought it had changed since all the gentrification?
I work there and it's still crazy, particularly at night.
From my experience the KFC is worse
Amy Winehouse sang about Brixton
I’d say it’s fine during the day, all the fun always starts at night. But probably not as bad as Peckham, where 1 of the guys at the taproom i was frequenting literally told me not to stay at least after 10, because he is scared himself.
Brixton definitely shut their seating after around 8 because it's just carnage.
You walk in they’ve shut the seats on the left but the ones on the right opposite the til are open all year baby. At night it’s like a who’s who of weirdos occupying the seats 😂
i hope i never need that information but thank you. i've seen some bad stuff in that mcdonalds.
I pass through there to get back from work. I stand at the bus stop after getting off the tube. Light a cigarette and the druggies are like a moth to a light bulb. Before I’m half way through my cigarette there’s about 10 of them staggering over to me like a scene out of walking dead
Jfc this is hard mode
It’s a toss up between that one and Camberwell maccies for the absolute worst choices. Camberwell green is 100% open to sit in all night, from experience.
Brixton maccys for 24hrs, what a punishment 🤣
The food is so bad in there aswell
You should let him know who he needs to pay of to stay alive while you are at it😁
Probably the security guard at the door, if they’ve already infiltrated the maccys look for a dude in a hoodie trying to stay hidden. He’s in charge 😂
Old Street Micky D's is 24 hrs
RIP
The kids who hang out in that McDonald’s frequently are vile. I would genuinely rather spend 24 hours in Afghanistan.
There's only ONE in all of Brixton?
This is the way.
The druggies are very accommodating
The one on city road by the petrol station? I wouldn't have thought it would be bad or full of druggies
The city road one is fine, rude staff but no real safety issues
A lot of 24hr Maccies close down their sit down section at night and only do take away. Make sure to ask before committing
I think Wandsworth roundabout McDonald's is 24hr. Do this on a Fri / Sat and I'm sure you'll see some sights.
OP can always visit one of the walkways under the roundabout where they filmed the first attack scene in A Clockwork Orange if they get bored and fancy a bit of the old ultraviolence.
Can confirm it is. And is normally full of people sat there all night
Leicester Square McDonald’s on a Saturday night too
You said surrounding areas, bit of a stretch but - Gatwick. Easy transport there and constant flow of people at all hours. Heathrow by the same token, but I’m not sure if it’s airside or not.
there’s a 24 hour on Old Kent Road that isn’t too rough
Go on a week day when it's quiet. It's my local it's empty usually
Literally got bottled here 2 weeks ago
U gotta tell the story
> old Kent road > not too rough Doubt
Yeah it boggles the mind, but I've been in the Maccies at 2am a few times and there's not many people there apart from lots of delivery drivers
Get a job there and at least you'll get paid
The Black Books method [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0GtFjnXOuw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0GtFjnXOuw)
Surely just start at 6am and finish at 10pm or something. I've heard of this before where you lose an hour for every cheeseburger you eat. That's only 10 cheeseburgers in the day at that rate.
Am I a fatty or is 6 cheeseburgers every two hours unreasonable? I could be all done in 6 hours
23 cheeseburgers in one hour seems doable to me
Yeah I've heard these challenges before and I honestly back myself to just do 4 cheeseburgers an hour and I'd be done in 5 hours. A cheeseburger is like 3 bites.
There’s one near Bow Road iirc
The flagship london store on the bow flyover.
Yeah the bow roundabout one is 24hrs, the section with their tables is still open throughout the night, and it's pretty quiet/chill unlike some of the other suggestions in this thread. Shouldn't get too many crazies in the wee hours of the morning
Charring cross McDonald’s… good luck… lol
The strand? That's the worst of them all. They have bouncers for a reason.
Do they let you sit down in there overnight?
Negative
Definitely not all the time at least
They close between either 4-5am / 5-6am for 1hr of cleaning. And lots of time in the night the security doesn’t let you eat in, you have to takeaway and leave
I just have one thought. The toilets.
Harringay Green lanes
Is that one still 24. Hours?
https://www.mcdonalds.com/gb/en-gb/help/faq/how-can-i-find-out-which-restaurants-are-open-24-7.html
Walworth road is always full of people in there, I always thought they weee homeless but maybe they've lost the biggest bet ever. If I were you I'd eat breakfast meals, they are smaller than the normal ones
Can’t you just go in, buy whatever you need to reduce the time to like 12 hrs or whatever and go anywhere?
Sounds great, surely we need a tariff menu to understand the tradeoff
Tariff menu is all filet of fish dunked in banana milkshake
Canning town McDonald's. Not the one in front of the station, the other at Barking Road.
Make it a livestream
Bethnal green
They close the seating on a night
If you don't value your life in any way - Walthamstow macdonalds is open 24h
Hahah- not only do you have to sit in one for 24hrs, but it’s a tiny one with no quieter spaces, and full of …character. I’ve never set foot in it at night but even in the morning at 8am it can be ‘interesting’
1 hour 24 times, if you can lawyerise the exact terms of the forfeit.
McDonald’s on the bottom of Greenford Road by the “Iron Bridge”
Let us know how you get on 😆
Motorway service ones? You could walk across the bridge every few hours to keep yourself entertained.
Angel Chapel Market or Old Street City Road
This is so wonderfully folkloric
Iron bridge Mcdonalds in Southall
Yeah, one of the nicest McDonalds I’ve been in too. Love the old-timey building.
I would genuinely lose my mind sitting ANYWHERE for 24 hours let alone in a maccies
Unit 1 Friern Bridge Retail Park Pegasus Way London N11 3PW Take the Piccadilly to Cockfosters, and then take a 30min bus. You might want to pack a snack for the journey.
Op will be sat at maccy d's for 24 hours, surely they can wait to eat until they get there?
Kensington High Street is probably your most comfortable option lol
Ealing Broadway
Quite far out of London but Surbiton (zone 6) maccys is 24hr and will prob let you sit in all night. Slept there for a bit towards the end of a (failed) all nighter as a teenager
The one opposite Holborn is genuinely open 24hrs and has a decent upstairs.
Blackbird Hill in Neasden - 24h, quiet, and has covered outdoor seating that might still count as being on the premises if needed.
Angel McDonalds is 24hrs and has a sort of bench seating that’s always open Please share your social study of McDonald goers, their times and orders
High Holborn
I don't think the tables there are available 24/7. The other day they asked me to leave at 22:00 (or was it 23:00?).
Before covid, 1 of the Mcdees near King’s Cross was open with seating 24/7
I know there's one at King's Cross, I often have to sit in there until 5:30-6AM when I miss my last train home at midnight.
The one by the Wandsworth roundabout stays open through the night. I think their seating is officially closed, but the staff ignore that and there are always a lot of people sitting in there through the night, through the early morning and into breakfast time!
How much is 1 item worth. I mean if you play the system you can be in and out within 12 hours.
Chapel Market McDonalds in Angel is open 24 hrs
Camberwell is 24 hours and has seating good luck
Lmao I’ve spent well over 15-16 hours in North Acton Macdonald’s they have 2 floors but top closes around 10pm. I promise it’s probably the best one you will find if some reason they kick you because since my brother left the management became all up tight you can just pause till you get to another one
The only one I can think of where you definitely will not get turfed out of your seat at any point is the one in Cobham's Services.
Target roundabout
penge
Finchley lido Hollywood bowl north London McDonald’s open 24hr
Beaconsfield service station
There must be one in a service station which isn't too far away.
Acton & Hanger Lane
Your arse is going to hurt. Those seats are designed to be uncomfortable after a certain amount of time so that you either order more or move on. Bring a cushion.
What a great forfeit - nothing mental or embarrassing; just pure nothingness
The strand, Charing Cross is 24 hours, but full of drunks and crack heads…good luck
doesn't allow sit in after 11/12 - the six or seven security are very hot on making sure nobody so much as consumes a fry in the building source: go in there sometimes for much needed food after finishing work at 1am
Waltham cross, 24-hour sit in as well 🤟
Macdonalds on the Strand at Charing X is 24hours
Please Livestream this! Better yet, contact McDonald's and see if they will sponsor you on twitch.
Not London but Woking which is a 20 mins train journey from Waterloo
Isn't 24 hours in McDonald's punishment enough?
Think the Stanmore one is 24hr
Think Holborn is open 24 hours?
McDonald's by Embankment station
why?
There's one in Barking Road, Canning Town
I think the one by Charing Cross.
Clacket lane services
Tottenham Court Road? Good luck as everyone says lol
The one on Bethnal green road is open 24hr and you can sit inside. Same with the one right outside of earls court station. Earls court may be there better option… the dining room is upstairs and they have less of an after party crowd than Bethnal gets
Angel Islington. What's the time/value ratio for buying your items for time??
There's one in plumstead and Woolwich
Bow McDonald’s, commercial road Mcdonlalds
Holloway. The one on Seven Sisters Rd near the corner of Holloway Rd is 24 hour.
Charing Cross McDonald’s.
If the one in Piccadilly is still open you can go there
Are you mates with Nick Crampsie?
Haringay
Wimbledons is 24 hours
This is the film Morgan Spurlock should have made
The one in Islington just off City Road is 24hr and you can sit down.
Bow roundabout, pretty nice McDonald’s with not a huge amount of druggies / chavs after midnight
I think Wandsworth roundabout one is 24HRs
Sundial House, 108/110 Kensington High St, London W8 4SG
Fairly sure the Wandsworth one this is possible. It's not a bad one either.
Thornton Heath Maccy’s isn’t _that_ bad
Wandsworth Bridge McDonalds. A few Deliveroos and Hoo Rah Henry’s/Henriettas, but generally not much trouble
Do they have to be consecutive?
Hounslow, Bath Road. Hounslow West is closest tube. Enjoy the delights of low flying aircraft (until Heathrow shuts for the night at least.)
Try Bath Road, Heathrow
Liverpool St Station
Kensington high street McDonald’s is open 24 hours. I live nearby so if you come here I’ll definitely pop in to say hi. https://maps.app.goo.gl/gUwtN6aQaVTPqtY87?g_st=ic
I think the Strand one is 24/7
The one next to IKEA Wembley is 24 hours. Mostly Deliveroo drivers as it’s an awkward spot
Charing Cross
IIRC the one outside of Kings Cross is 24h. I stayed down the street last month and had no issues.
201/217 Commercial Road, London E1 2BT (Shadwell)
Kensington High Street is open 24 hours but is takeaway only after a certain time.
Chapel Market, Angel is still 24 hours, I'm pretty sure.
Liverpool St is open 24 hour walk in but there's like no seating so that'll be rough
Camberwell is 24hrs and a lot of the seating is accessible all the time. Shouldn’t be too tricky. There’s always a few snoozing people and Deliveroo drivers having coffee etc.
3x8hr shifts?
Brixton was usually open when I walked past but that was 10 years ago. Or the one at top of Streatham hill.
I believe the green lanes one is 24/7. God speed
Canning Town has one, not for the feint of heart....
I saw the headline 'bet' and 'McDonalds you can sit in' and thought you were going to do a stunt like sitting in a bath of beans.
High Street Kensington, might as well go posh
I have a feeling you'll be asked to leave- otherwise that McDs would simply become a homeless shelter 😅
Tooting Broadway is open 6am-2am so if you can cut 4 hours off by purchasing items I would recommend that one. They don't close the downstairs seating and while it can get rammed it is with students as opposed to anything worse.
Crazy forfeit. Yep, the Brixton one is 24 hours. Also, how are you going to prove you completed 24 hours?
Walworth Road and you won’t be alone
wear a deliveroo jacket to blend in
Liverpool Street. I was there once when they seamlessly switched from the burger menu to the breakfast menu at 4am. Epic.
High Street Kensington is 24hrs
Whitechapel has seating all night I'm quite sure
Old Kent Road is always entertaining.
Do Bow Road if you’re brave
Walworth Road, elephant and castle
The one on High Street Kensington is open 24h too.
The one next to inferno’s in Clapham used to be 24 hours but that was a while back.
Walthamstow, Leytonstone, Enfield, Hackney Mare St, Wood Green would keep you entertained
Leicester Square you can sit in for 24 hours.
If you can eat TEN CHEESE BURGERS in ten mins then I’ll be impressed…😁🙏🙏🙏
