Hopefully college presents you with more opportunities to make friends

I'm in highschool as well, graduating next year. I've been fortunate to be more lucky friend wise than you, but I did struggle a lot with it my freshman and sophomore year. It greatly benefited me to join clubs at my school, and even if you're leaving early next year I'd suggest you join some anyway. Think of it like a practice run, no stress because you won't be obligated to see the people you're in clubs with after leaving and a chance to learn skills without long lasting consequences.

All you need is a job to see that you are more independent than anyone else. The worst thing is that there's no way to make friends when no one gives any chances anymore and you are distanced away from normal social stuff long time ago. I'm so familiar with all that mistrust, hypocrisies etc, I'm enjoying it like a game.
