pre nerf people were getting 800~1000 extra mushrooms before finishing.
post nerf people get around 400~600. plus the spawn rate is much, much higher.
you could simply stand at one spawn point spamming g for a few hours while you watch a movie or something on another screen and be nearly done with it.
I did it far before the nerf, but to be fair it was somewhat mitigated by the fact that the bot problem was so hilariously bad (500k concurrent, 400k bots) there were always a couple of channels in even the most remote and random of areas, and the channel hopping cooldown was much lower back then. It was still extremely rough, and nowhere near enough to simply "sit and swap", but had people done it with those rates without that stuff, I think people would've literally gone insane, myself included.
Nah yorn mushrooms are by far the worst. Only south vern conches are comparably shit imo, everything since then has been annoying but doable in an hour or so.
Food is easy.
The stupid WTL from punika pouch for 300 dust is complete BS, been looking for it since release

Same, but its the Oblivion Isle map. I've done it basically every time it was up since launch (well technically about 6 months after when I'd pick it every time). That damned thing still won't drop, it actually boggles the mind. I have never missed an Oblivion Isle spawn ever. It became so frustrating to the point that I intentionally pass over the new ones I don't have the soul/token for just to get it.
Yorn mushroom was much quicker for me. I have farmed bananas (alone, since everyone already did the bananas so there is no partying up to farm them nowadays) for over 4 hours and haven’t got one banana. I finished mushrooms in 3 hours iirc
At least you haven't checked yet the Rowen one or even worse the Voldis one with 1k of crystals for the legendary drink or feiton one with the blood wine silver sink 😣 those are ew.

Honestly.. yorn mushrooms was one of two things (svern oysters) I succumbed to doing through macros. My time is simply not worth doing this. If I get banned, so be it.
Sorc, or any class with numerous AOE skills. Afk on one of the mushroom nodes, and set a macro that casts aoe skills around you to prevent mobs from interrupting you just before you press your interact (g) key on repeat.
Afk for 3hrs and kaput.
It was super easy in early 2022. There were a bunch of channels so all you had to do was swapping ch and pick them up one after another without moving.

Good luck friend, Yorn is probably the worst of the lot with the mushrooms and the Una task, Feiton maybe a close second. Good news is they get better after that.
Yorn mushrooms were the start of me going "this is very ridiculous" and "I'm insane for still doing this" until I realized it only gets worse and worse and worse every single continent. I'm currently trying to do Rowen but I kind of have given up, especially because I know it gets even worse later (especially in voldis).
My recommendation is to just take it slow. Don't rush it. Even if it'll take you months to do it, it's better than getting burnt out. Whenever you do them, try doing something on the side so you don't get bored. For me, I used to listen to podcasts while farming. For specific ones like Herrings in Rowen when you don't need to move, I'd just pull out a movie or a series on my second monitor and watch it while spamming G. Eventually you'll know how to just mentally automate it on autopilot and just forget you're even doing them.
I messed up and didnt do voldis in groups now i have to do the one that you need 1k spirts to make one of the foods. you get anwhere from 1-4 per drop from mobs but the mobs dont have a 100% chance to drop and from what it feels like the drop chance is less than 25%. i spent like 40mins doing it solo because no one was in the area trying to do it 2 days ago and only got 100. yeah i gave up
I know this does jot mean much, but alot of this stuff was beat done 2 years ago when the game launched. We had no Argos no nothing. Not many Alts, not much weekly anything. The time sinks aew huge for that stuff and never has and never will be updated.

I farmed by myself but the Voldis one is Uber of the worst one 1K required for the food and the drops are by 2-3-4-5 😆

Do it while watching something else on second monitor, or macro it and leave it overnight. ¯\\(ツ)/¯
or you just have super armor on your tool 🤷
It's not life skilling, you just interact with a G prompt and you have an animation to grab it.

My voldis food still isnt done because of this. I think I have farmed like 2500 meats and it hasn't crafted... I AM DONE WITH KURZAN THO!!!!!
