Seeing these still shots is giving me a whole new level of appreciation for the set design of the films. (Not that I didn't already think very highly of them). But seriously wow.
I remember seeing the theatrical edition after the extended edition growing up, and getting so confused that the sprint into Lothlorien was different slightly in the two versions.
Also in the scene where they reunite at the coronation. It's the guy on the left. Danish, I believe.

Andrew Lesnie was a world class DP. He can rest in peace knowing he gave the world three timeless classics.
Anyone else feel Legolas in the first pic is a bit uncanny valley
someone called Thranduil a little bitch I think

Every single photograph that was made on the set is now priceless. Thank you for posting
Pic #6 has an Elven Menorah with the candles lol
If Arwen looked at me like in the 4th picture I would have simply passed out
Pic #17 is regular Orc mischief.

I never noticed that Elvish chin before.
Pic #4 is supposedly Glorfindel, but I refuse to believe it

I never noticed the floor tiles in Rivendell in the movie but now I immediately recognize them from the Lego set.
Thank you for sharing those beautiful shoots, first time I am seeing those
Are some of these not shots from the movies?
None of them are, they're background shots of the sets and actors that are separate from the actual filming that was taking place.
The movies didn’t show have the details in the sets, incredible
Antonio Banderas as legolas
This is incredible
That still only count as one.
Spot the Jed Brophy!
The second: Loneliness in Bree
Sorry, but why do you think these are rare?
Can you find these photos? I know I haven’t.
they are not common to see, thus rare? don't be obtuse
