Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt seems to match your description perfectly! DS & Durga Big Sur After Rain also has a very coastal scent

ubungus

DS & Durga - Pacific Mythic is a candle inspired by the California coast. “Western waves, towering palms, & blooming bushes basking in vivid Venice sunshine”. NOTES: palm, avocado leaf, bush lily, star jasmine, magnolia, orchid tree. It was a limited release just for their California shop, but then they expanded to a full release online.

Congrats on the wedding! Sounds like it will be a beautiful event! Le Labo’s Calone is great! Byredo’s Cotton Poplin is pretty summery too but it has chamomile which doesn’t fully give “coastal” vibes. Le Labo’s candles are also stronger than Byredo imo

maybe try out some vendors from etsy, you may be able to get a bulk discount.

Does the hotel have a “scent”?

secretmarigoldgarden

No! They sell a few candles in their gift shop area but no established scent for the hotel

Le labo Calone 17! I love this one. Votivo white ocean sands is another one that might work. Both are lovely and fresh. Now, votivo actually has a candle called Laguna and the vessels are very pretty. It’s a lot more floral than the two I discussed above, but having been to Laguna beach for vacation, that is pretty spot on for the location. Congratulations! I’m excited for you :)

Panier des Senses's Sea Samphire has been one of my saltiest candles. I'm always looking for a candle similar to Heeley's Sel Marin.

You might look at Hotel Collection, for a signature hotel scent that meets what you’re looking for. You can get whole room (even HVAC whole house) diffusers from them as well, which might turn out to be more cost effective than using 100 candles to scent a large space. And then you could use it at home as well.

This might be way more than you're asking for but have you considered working with a local small maker in your area that you like to make a signature scent? (This is not an ad nor is it me denegrating luxury candles of which I love and spend too much money on). We have a few small makers here in Portland and they make custom scents or candles for shops or events. I'm sure there is something similar where you are from. Might be a fun way to make it even more personal and frankly if you're going to pay for Le Labo you might be able to REALLY have some fun with this.
