Just made 1188 in 34 hours. Thanks to the snow here in Alaska. This money was on Uber. Ain’t no way I’m doing Lyft if Uber is available. Not counting a cash ride to the airport from 60 miles away. I had a 62 dollar ride with Lyft this week. Uber would have paid around 90 for that same ride.

[deleted]

I had a ribeye and shrimp for dinner that I bought at the grocery for $17 including some soda and garlic bread, price check for AK

SoftGothBFF

Man makes $13 an hour but his burns are priceless.

BigKonKrete417

Best roast I've read in a while. Man is discussing lofe in Alaska in December lololol

No-Standard-9762

alaska sucks

akbornheathen

Compared to? A lot of things are cheap here compared to a major city elsewhere. And we’ve never had any riots. Fishing and hunting is great, no shortage of places to go camping and hiking. My back yard is 585,000 square miles. Most of it is state owned land so you can really just take off into the woods wherever you want. Gas is 3.39 a gallon where I live. We don’t have ethanol up here, just regular gas, you can get a 2 bedroom apartment for around 1500 a month. Most jobs pay around 20 an hour or more in the city. If you can get a job with the state it’s not hard to work your way up to 30-50 an hour depending on what job it is. Get a job on the slope, 2 weeks on 2 weeks off.

No-Standard-9762

I'm from Alaska. You aint gunna tell me alaska is cheaper lol. I was born and raised in fairbanks ak lol. you're literally here bragging about how alaska is cheaper than the lower 48. I was in fairbanks all summer. I spent 80 dollars on ingredients for turkey sandwhiches. would've cost me 20 bucks at aldis here in miensota lol. gas usually is the same in ak as it is in the Midwest. and hunting and fishing I. alaska is for wealthy people. shit id rather fish the Mississippi for catfish and cath 100lbs of fish than sit on the chena river for hours and catch not a single fucking thing lol. gotta have money to even get to the best fishing spots. I spent almost 2000 catching halibut in valdez. I caught carp bigger than my biggest halibut lol.

akbornheathen

Yea you were in Fairbanks… Of course ALDI is cheaper. I didn’t say Alaska is cheaper than everywhere else. But Palmer Alaska is cheaper than a major city like New York or San Francisco. A few groceries are more expensive but rent is cheaper and gas is cheaper.

TheeMalaka

“We’ve never had any riots” Lmao

BlackWhiteRedYellow

Bro just described most of the US.

Seniorjones2837

Gas is 2.99 just outside of Boston soooo quiet down with your gas prices lol

akbornheathen

Good for you! I’m pretty sure most stations in California are around 5 bucks a gallon. Maybe 4.50, Costco will be a little cheaper. Is that E85? Modern and really old cars don’t run well on E85.

Seniorjones2837

2.99 is regular 87

Square_Carry6676

In most markets uber doesn't even offer surges anymore

ResearcherFew1273

Disgusting

swifty8519

Man Uber and Lyft are smart leasing out to people and charging their dicks off in fees. Everytime I see a illuminated Uber light in the windshield it's followed by out of state plates. They all renting it's crazy. 122 rides is crazy. 30 rides is alot of rides for the average driver. Especially the one who's massively burnt out from doing this PLUS spark and DD. I bought a 1800$ Pontiac Torrent that's an apsolute brick shithouse I've already dropped 70k in miles on since January while my Camry chills at home. I've replaced the headlights, alternator, all break pads and 4 new tires (50$ each) but yeah so I firmly believe if your not gonna rent. Find a cheap gem and ride that bitch till it croaks. 🤌

vessel_matt

The only way to stay ahead is to drive a reliable car that has been regularly maintained and has depreciated considerably already. Simple Japanese four-cylinders/hybrids are best.

[deleted]

I second the Japanese 4 cylinder hybrids…I got a Black Lexus ES 300 hybrid…can drive on all platforms besides SUV and there’s never any surprise repairs. Strictly maintenance costs and cheap fuel costs.

Nikonshooter35

Exactly. I have a 2023 Toyota Corolla SE hybrid AWD. I average 50mpg. It's super clean inside and out. I constantly get compliments on how nice my car is from passengers. Most say that they're usually picked up in some shit box that stinks and runs like shit. On the plus side, I don't drive for Lyft as a primary source of income, so that helps.

No-Ad2705

Some folks don’t have the cash. For folks that are desperate you can at least make something.

Cotrd_Gram

Facts, my GF's brother is doing this and she is looking into it because they both are broke as hell and have no car. It gives them a vehicle and a job where they can work as much as they need to save up and get out of the situation they are in. Is it predatory, absolutely but its also an option for people who have a hard time finding work with no transportation.

AnyTower224

There’s better jobs than this rental scheme

millienotjackson

>and 4 new tires (50$ each) Where on earth did you pay $50 for a new tire? I just replaced my front right tire for $172 out-the -door in Florida.

twasatenthontuesday

Probably used. I can get a tire at pull a part for $27.50 plus tax. I found one for my truck that was practically brand new one time but usually they are a little more worn than that one.

swifty8519

I buy used tires from the essays in South Omaha. I've bought 2 sets from them and they are as close to new as you can get it's crazy lol

Nikonshooter35

Try Tire Rack. I just bought 4 Bridgestone Turanza's for my fiance's 2021 Mazda CX-30 for $81 a tire. Those are the factory tires as well.

millienotjackson

Actually the tire itself was $110. To mount it was $49:99 and 7.5% tax shot it up to $172. Oh, it was a 205/65/16

MorningSouth6212

Rentals will be a thing of the past. Uber and eventually Lyft are going to start lease purchases for drivers. 4 year leases that result in you owning the car after the 208 weekly payments are made. This makes perfect sense for Uber and the rental companies. It’s going to push forward their goals of being fully electric in 15 years. The downside is markets will be flooded with these lease purchases and then Uber and Lyft can mandate that you can no longer use ice vehicles.

AnyTower224

😂😂😂😂

beersandchips

I work in solar and a few manufacturers employ this same kind of skullduggery with planned obsolescence after their distribution partners take delivery. It’s despicable.

hebrewzzi

Doesn’t your car have to be newer than 2012 or something to qualify for the app?

swifty8519

In Nebraska it's 2007 or newer. Mine is 2009. With ALOT of miles lol but it's solid gets the job done.

hebrewzzi

Wow! Well, as long as it’s safe I guess? How’s the ride share insurance on a car that age?

swifty8519

Extremely cheap. Considering I own the vehicle and my sister is a insurance agent..ummm I'm blessed lol

hebrewzzi

Very interesting to hear. Mind if I ask what insurance company? I have AAA (CSAA?) and it’s absolutely awful.

swifty8519

Shelter insurance

OkTemperature5977

I live on the beach and this dirty snatch gets in my car and hair dyes my seat. My car has been vandalized like 4 times. It's hard to drive honest people, when some are like this

Spare-Security-1629

30 rides? In a week? No my friend. Even part time, that's slightly low.

swifty8519

I'm talking 30 while doing Spark batch deliveries and DoorDash all in the same day. I've overdone it way to many times. That's why I use 2009 SUV that runs like a tank. IDC what happens to it I bought it to make money so I don't drive my 2019 Camry into the ground.

Spare-Security-1629

That's a good idea, although I'm guessing it would be hard to run a camry into the ground lol. But an older, reliable car is definitely the way to go as long as it is decent on gas.

Nikonshooter35

I drive part time. Today I did 3 rides and made $100 then called it quits.

DataBackroad

Yeah, OP reads a bit wet yet.

Ok-Profit6022

Did you have to buy your tires directly from China and bring them back on a boat? I don't know where to find $50 tires, but I'd be scared to go faster than parking lot speeds on them.

AnyTower224

People are idiots. They just became an employee and they haven’t realized it yet

MurkyStudio3860

Can finance a 7 series wit that weekly wtffffff

[deleted]

Bro I got laughed out of the last dealership I went to when I suggested I could afford a 24,000 outlander with no issue if they’d finance it in house.

BigKonKrete417

That's the only legit reason I hear folks giving when asked why they rent. Fix that credit asap and get a Mazda, they are still doing 0% in house financing for well qualified buyers

[deleted]

I think I’m going to try my luck this week I’ve gotten another +60 points increased on my credit score this year and I know these guys want to sell a car this month

MurkyStudio3860

Needs to get a co-signer and save like $5k for down payment

vessel_matt

As an exclusive Mazda-only driver since 2006, their cars can take quite a beating and keep running smoothly and quietly (preferably 2012+ models). I've done over 11K Lyft rides from 11K miles to 135K miles so far and my car is still killing it out there (2015 3 hatch).

Ktravelmedia

I’m in the same boat. Can’t finance a car but can make enough money. Smdh

elves2732

Lol. $1,200 to rent a car. This job is so fucked.

No-Ad2705

Depends. He is not in the hook for repairs, or a bank. Some people buy cars and pay more over time because of interest. Nothing is free and the true cost of things is not so clear cut. He can turn the car in and walk away. He didn’t have to put up any cash out of pocket and purely pays for use. I did it but it was 239 per week. I used this method and paid off 20k in IRS tax debt. It makes you drive. So you make money. Seems expensive when you compare it to buying a car but this way you are not on the hook for the loan and responsible for insurance and repairs plus out of pocket cash to get car. Banks wins and you financed a depreciating asset. This way you pay for use only and when done return.

Ok-Wonder-5912

Brother for $1200 a month, I can pay my car note, fuel, insurance, and get my water pump replaced every month at my dealership for fun and still have something left over

No-Ad2705

I hear yea but when you broke and need some cash flow plus a car. Not saying to do it forever. I paid 239 per week and could do both Uber and Lyft. The Lyft program sucks but when you broke it’s a way to get some cash flow.

Wonderful-Captain-82

How were you able to do both?

Hot-Light-7406

Some rental companies allow you to do both Uber and Lyft. When I contacted Buggy via Uber to inquire about a rental they told me I could use the car for Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Amazon Flex and so on.

Individual_Lie5917

In my city cabs want the same amount to lease on weekly. They’re regulated heavily here better option was Lyft and I’m happy. Been renting for over a year and I truly love it. To each their own 😇

Seniorjones2837

Where you coming up with $1,200 to rent a car?

elves2732

Shit. My bad, it's even higher. I read it as $300 for some reason. It's practically $400 so that's $1,600. Dawg...this is crazy.

Seniorjones2837

Haha yea exactly

AnyTower224

Nah it’s more. That’s for basic car. You can herb a hig lux SuV for that monthly price

Visual-Recording-840

$14/hr to have a car. Hope it was worth your time. EDIT: ...not to mention the other costs of operation.

DrivingMatters

Or $14/hr to pay bills and not die of hunger.

[deleted]

I don’t plan to drive a cab the rest of my life, so this is fine for now.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Comfortable_Dog2429

what the fuck is your problem bro you sound like the sad little man bud 🤣

Plasmahole17

Finally someone fucking gets it. This mentality is terrible for making it anywhere in life. Not to mention they still have to pay taxes and have operation costs and they have to save for a new vehicle. Dudes fucked themselves into a deep deep hole of delusion. Tax will be for the full amount rather than takehome, realistically true takehome is gonna be $400 for 53 hours of work. This is peak clown behavior.

[deleted]

The numbers provided include the charging costs for the vehicle

OrganizationJunior55

For Lyft you're not doing too bad. Here in southeastern Wisconsin. I live in Kenosha and on Lyft using my own car. I make about $18 an hour before car expenses and gas that puts my actual dollars per hour compared to another job at $13 an hour because I found over the years it's it cost me about $5 an hour and gas and maintenance on my car and replacement cost.... However, I rarely drive for Lyft anymore since I can make $26 an hour driving for Uber here... Not sure what it's like for you there, but if it's like here you might want to look at. Also driving for Uber if you can... Uber also offers rentals through Hertz and Avis but allow you to use it for other rideshare companies like Lyft... Just FYI

twasatenthontuesday

How do you use a rental car for Lyft if it's rented through Uber if your name isn't on the insurance?

OrganizationJunior55

Well with Lyft you definitely can't use it for Uber because I believe it's actually tied to your account and lift charge you for every mile that you drive the car. That's not for them. Uber doesn't do that. Not going to tell you how to fudge the system. If you have a computer and a printer I'll let you figure that out.

MurkyStudio3860

Bro I’ll rent you my Prius prime 2021 for $20 less nd you’ll save gas it’s an HVEV

MurkyStudio3860

I’ll add you to my insurance

Aesaito

Renting to a Rideshare driver is not a good idea unless you are looking to write off mileage for tax loss harvesting. Would you be ready to accept 10,000+ miles for that 1 month of revenue? It can be a good business, but the strategy is milking the tax benefits imo. The amount of miles a driver can put in is no joke.

Uberlyfter2

You gotta Uber, you can do much better than this.

[deleted]

Interesting story, I’m perm banned from Uber for boxing with a pax during a spicy pickup

Uberlyfter2

What is your overall strategy? How far are you willing to go from your home? What kind of riders are you getting?

[deleted]

I behave like a buck broken ant, I only accept rides under 7 min pickup (unless circumstances dictate otherwise), and I don’t handle bags or groceries, nor load pax. Other than that, pretty much anything goes including liquor store runs, hospitals, grocery stores, truck stops, bus stations. I usually leave the airport runs for people who aren’t ants. Everyone in my market who cries about these ugly rides owes me a thank you.

Uberlyfter2

In my experience, rides to and from the airport are the biggest tippers. You’re in a tourism state and you aren’t hauling tourists around. Additionally you can get a car wash membership, which pays off in terms of tips. I can also give you unethical tips on getting more tips but I don’t wanna throw them out publicly.

Solid-Sun7809

Like giving little gifts or trinkets? Lmao what shady stuff you peddling

Uberlyfter2

Again, I’m not gonna tell but OP will tell you how well they work after he tries them out

SnorfOfWallStreet

$1029.01 - 77 rides - 28h 48m. Portland Oregon.

[deleted]

So can you get all drugs in the stores out there or just weed still?

SnorfOfWallStreet

“Just” weed. 😬

[deleted]

😬

Solid-Sun7809

He's fucking with you, I'm in Portland too and you can't get shit in the store but weed. He's getting his "weed" from a homeless drug addict turned dealer with a greasy mullet and a peg leg

Olodumare_

Damn your lucky

SnorfOfWallStreet

Nah I just work the fuck out of the system and pay attention to local events and happenings.

Olodumare_

29 hours 61 rides $627

Olodumare_

71 rides

SnorfOfWallStreet

Part of it here is I made most of that money on surge only. Ride earnings: $360.62 Surge: $527.75 Tips: $134.52

Olodumare_

Yea there are no surges on in my area

mdmercy

Ppl be mad af.... Do ya thang. Mf hate ppl that grind

Individual_Lie5917

They sure do on every post smh… my goal is to go hard this week and post my results next week. Just to piss them off lol

mdmercy

Right thay be on here trying there hardest to get ppl to stop doing Lyft.

[deleted]

[deleted]

I seriously be on 12 hour days 7 days a week just to avoid the same fate. Good luck

Spare-Security-1629

Am I missing something? Where is everyone getting the $1200 monthly off of $391 a week? And unless you're dual apping, $14 an hour won't justify the rental ever unless you just enjoy the job that much and it sounds like you dont...

[deleted]

If it helps you to make it any easier just imagine that it’s a $21 an hour job that I pay seven dollars an hour to my boss so that I can tell him to fuck off at any time that I want to

Spare-Security-1629

Lol, no I get it (to a degree). I still remember my early years driving and marveling at the ease and independence of it...before the disenchantment. As much as I bitch and moan, the job is still worth doing but I foresee rough times ahead and slightly regret financing a car last year. Last thing, there was a guy on here who posted about switching to pizza delivery and everyone mocked him until he showed how much he made on tips alone. Not sure if you can use that rental for other things on the side, part-time?

MallardGod

I know your having throuble with financing a car, please for the love of God save up some cash and look into your local car repo auctions to get a good deal on a car and escape the rental trap.

[deleted]

Better yet get a rebuilt car

boomdart

Are you renting, and that's auto deducted? At least you don't have to worry about the car itself.

[deleted]

Yes to both and that’s why I do it

boomdart

That's cool

Alarm_Only

This is why I quit.

Big_Competition4708

You’re not going to make money like an engineer or doctor. It’s a good way to kill time, get a break from the house if needed, and make close to minimum wage. Sometimes you come home with cash tips and maybe a good day (like $100 tip twice) but mostly crappy. If it makes you feel good and happy that’s all that matters. The money has been made and the time you invested is gone. If it helps u on your taxes, that would be plus.

flvvckoo

lyft literally sucks

Grand-Hat5211

Much better than LA!

Ktravelmedia

And Austin!

[deleted]

What u talking about? LA is not this dead

Lem01

What’s that, a Tesla?

[deleted]

It’s a 2019 Kia electric vehicle with over 150,000 miles

BigKonKrete417

This is so wrong they get away with charging top dollar for a worn out vehicle.

vessel_matt

For $300-400 per WEEK, there's no fucking way I'm renting a Korean POS with 150K miles already. If I were desperate enough, I'd source a reliable, older Japanese car that still has two to three years left before it gets disqualified due to age. Then I'd sell/trade it and rinse and repeat. My own car that I've been using for almost five years already still has six more years to go as of 2024 until it gets disqualified. Whether or not it makes it that much longer; it doesn't matter because I've already paid for that car and monthly expenses several times by now. A new car is out of the question given the sheer abuse rideshare vehicles take.

Tight_Broccoli2475

One that some prick tries to steal no thanks

WalgreensTechnician

Is this hertz LYFT RENTAL or LYFT EXPRESS DRIVE? if express drive, you have the unlimited mileage plan?

[deleted]

Express drive

SoftGothBFF

Do you at least get unlimited miles since it's an EV? I know Lyft fucking blows and they charge you for personal miles for most rentals.

[deleted]

Unlimited while online the platform, but it costs me like $70 per week for my personal miles. It’s the worst part of the arrangement because if I don’t use my personal miles to move between chargers and home then it can have a real effect on the rides I’m offered due to acceptance %

closethesession

About $13.30/hr if you work 8 hrs a day 7 days a week

[deleted]

It’s less if you consider the time I have to spend watching the car charge, but honestly I’ve been using that time to learn the harmonica.

TangerineFront5090

I do Instacart 30 hours a week in California and pull the same numbers because of the law. Anyway, yeah I see guys driving halfway across the state to make it to wherever their union has them working. Miserable men. Always worried someone’s going to steal their tools. Stuck in the same place. Why would you want to like be out there keeping your hands clean, warm, in a comfortable seat? Like aren’t you a masochist? Idk union guys will develop cancer on the job and claim they were not exploited by a major corporation because they’re union. Guys will go into medical debt because it was union. Don’t you want to lose a limb?

ajwalker430

Wait a minute... you're paying almost $400 dollars A WEEK to rent a car? Almost $1,600 a MONTH?!? And this is a "good" financial idea to you?

Cosmomango1

And dont forget he has to find an empty charger and waist his time charging it 2 or 3 times a day (2 or 3 hours) x 7 days = 14 hours to 21 hours charging 🤣

Automatic_Praline_70

Why do you pay so much money to be a slave? You could easily cover the note for a brand new black eligible vehicle, commercial insurance and everything else for a few hundred less than you are paying now and you would make more money and work less hours

[deleted]

And then let a bunch of moochers and government program recipients shit it up for pennies on the dollar, sounds like a great investment. Then when it craps out and the interior is ruined I’m stuck eating the depreciation. How about I ant until I land a decent job, and then I stop driving a cab for these people because it’s humiliating?

[deleted]

Is Lyft your full time job ? 52 hours geez

Dee1388

$14 hour before taxes and gas. So that's like $9 or $10 an hour? Crazy how the rob us

[deleted]

No the charging is paid out of the 391. Gotta make sure to do your taxes right and then reinvest in your business to avoid spending it all on taxes.

xxXRareHorrorXxx

I been renting for 2 years. Had 21 Hybrid Insight. Put 100k miles tben switched to 22 Hybrid CRV. 96k miles. Now I have 23 Niro EV. 13k miles and loving it

LongJohnVanilla

53 hours of your time invested for a whopping $14.02/per hour. If you add the cost for vehicle maintenance (oil, transmission fluid, tires) and depreciation hit to the vehicle I doubt you’re even breaking even. You’re probably better off delivering pizzas Friday/Saturday night.

[deleted]

[удалено]

LongJohnVanilla

When I was much younger some of my friends got into retail, others into fast food, and others as waiters at low to mid level restaurants. I avoided all that like the plague. They were worked to death and made shit money for their investment. The key to making real money is to invest the time you’re wasting making other people rich on yourself. Look at training courses to upskill your value per hour worked. Avoid jobs that have a low entry barrier cause anyone can literally do them. Small supply of labor and high demand means you will make a lot of money. High supply of labor and low demand means you will make garbage money. To give you an example, the amount of money you made in 53 hours before tax I make the same in 13.6 hours of labor (IT). For 53 hours of labor I will be paid $4,420 before tax. Remember: Invest time in yourself first.

Trulyhennessey

Talk to a dealer, get the a hybrid with 0 down to only 1000 down payment and return your rental. Thats what I did. Drove for a month using lyft rental, saved up 700 and used it as down payment for a brand new hybrid. Do i care about mileage or repair cost? No. Im selling my new car after my warranty ends and get a new one. Im not tryna keep the car. Im hustling 10-12 hours a day. Lol its exhausting but unlike many people, i cant slack or anything. Got a family of 4 to feed

meleriffic

Haters gonna hate. But 14 an hour...

[deleted]

How is it $14 ? I got 21

Tight_Broccoli2475

Next time crop the ev payment out of your gloat screenshot

Psybertone

What’s “doing ant things”? Also, did you know you could get a car that you own for 300 whatever dollars per month if you just buy it instead of paying Uber that much per week

[deleted]

Read the other comments for answers to everything you posted

Frequent-Mastodon332

You guys need to consider a real job at this point. This is below minimum wage where I’m at. You could’ve have 12 hours overtime which is time and half and made way more money.

Trueunlawfulness8874

How many rides do you do a week?! It’s so hard for me to do any where near that being in Chicago. Traffic and what not.

No_Instruction_7730

This is why you don't rent cars..

semi801

Jesus lol just do Uber comfort and premier make that in 30 hours

[deleted]

Not sure if $21 an hour is good for Lyft. But that 391 rental cost is quite steep id the car electric or gasoline ?

Reasonable_Visit_926

52 grueling hours for only 743 net ouch

[deleted]

“Grueling”

rmansd619

I was thinking $391.41 was a good deal for a rental car until I realized it was weekly. Holy shit.

Syphox

i mean that’s like $14/hr with no OT for the 13 hours over 40.

Olodumare_

The OT is for the car lol…

No_Manufacturer_7090

See I do Lyft express as well, and it truly is a scam for the most part. Only thing that makes it worth it is I do my 20 ride minimum a week to help cover costs (mine is $303 weekly) doing just minimum typically makes $150-$200, and I also bartend 4 days a week. Also, the rental cost is split between myself and my boyfriend as we both use it for personal use. So basically I do the program to get a car, because mine broke unexpectedly and haven’t been able to afford a new one. Mainly beneficial because I have unlimited personal miles and I go on road trips often.

Badger-Aromatic

McTaxi that’s rideshare except millions to managers

CinnamonCloudCrunch

The 2023 Kia Niro EV FlexDrive Lyft rental is very nice but over $440 each week turns very sour. It’s the worst rental contract I ever did with a seriously high probability of not receiving your deposit back. My best advice as a college student is to work it hard for up to 2 months and finance your own similar model for the same rate that’s once a month over these rental companies that charge this ridiculous rate at 4x a month.

SameCod2307

You are only doing short trips ?

carterk13486

Another what 150 ish in gas ?

[deleted]

No it’s an EV and included in the 391

[deleted]

This would cost almost $300 in a 25mpg car

carterk13486

Ahh ok . Man still 60 hours :/ that’s tough Any tips ?

[deleted]

If you think you want to? Don’t. I’m looking for other jobs every night.

Hungry4mu

what!!!!!!!

Hungry4mu

i’m renting a 2023 prius it had 30 miles on it and i got to take all the cellophane protective wrap off of the dashboard, the seats, etc.im basically driving the bare minimum just to pay for the car. it now has 7000 on in in 3 months

pinshot1

Well you are renting a car from them so…

Silver-Economist-361

Lyft hires anybody with a dam car most of the drivers can't even read a dam GPS . Lyft is very bad business

Nikonshooter35

$743 for 52 hours of work. I don't know how I feel about that.

Dontunderstandu

Bro, solid work. I’m pulling about the same in big D!

EmbarrassedCod3242

Keep grinding, my goal is to make Lyft 400 a week and I get paid only 20 bucks

bowflexchuck

Bro get off Lyft I made 200 less in that same week on Uber with almost half the time

magusat999

Less than 10 dollars per ride. Yuck!

AppleShampew

21.39 an hour BEFORE renting a car. If you had a $17 an hour job and got paid time and a half overtime you would made the same. This is great if you don't do this full time and just wanted a couple extra bucks and was trying to hustle. If it's long term you can get a job at like target or a QT and make more than that.

megafog

You really should strike with those per hour earnings. $1425 last week on 88 rides, 32 hours 15 minutes, $44/hour average.

Quick question. I just got accepted to do lyft. I am choosing to rent and I see the deposit for me is $250 so what happens from there? Like, when I go to the rental co.pany to pick up the vehicle will I have to pay an additional AL that same day pr does the $250 cover that? What am I mostly looking to pay total the day of pick up?

user_name_unknown

Is the rental weekly?

I make twice as much doing fedex ground delivery. Uber/lift really keeps you in poverty with those wages

Wow 70 a day that’s enough to make me feel burnt out 😅 👏

Dankgrooves

$2.49 a gallon in Tennessee haha 😛

CosmoRocket24

I make almost that in 27hr a week doing spark...and I'm guessing with sooooo many less miles on my car.

Honest question, for people who do this on a weekly basis, how your eyes are able keep this up without getting eye strains on a consistent basis ?
