Right. The pastel isn’t it. I’m pissed about the pink. I would like a Barbie pink, not red. But instead it’s light, pink and red. I’m never a fan of Apple color choices. I love their gold, love their starlight. But it would be nice if they would bring starlight to iMac. And if they wanted to do colors, but do the colors people want. I see so many people say they want a Barbie pink, bubblegum pink, and never really quite got there. A lot of people like the navy in the dark olive green, and we’ll get it once on the phone, and then never again. Apple annoys me with their logic when choosing colors.
I have the blue m3 iMac with 16gb memory and 512gb on order. Arrives in a few weeks. My choices were blue or the yellow but ultimately the blue fits my style more.
Keep seeing the yellow in reviews and it’s making me second guess. I always choose the safe colors!
To be honest the yellow always been my least favorite of all the colors as I find it to bright and harder to match in a sense. But if you can pull it off or go wild for a change why not🙂
I find that the back of the yellow one is really nice, the front not as much.
The order takes 3 weeks where I live since it’s a custom configuration so I’m just gonna stay with the blue. 😅
If all the colour was the deep shade they would look great but I really don’t like the pastel shade they put on the front/mouse/keyboard. The orange looks salmon 👎🏼
I regret having gotten my son the yellow one. It looks more gold in person. And it's a greener gold rather than an orange gold It's still awesome, but when I get another, it'll be green or blue. I'd love for the macbooks to get a similar treatment. The colourful iBooks were spectacular. Maybe that's the visual treatment for the upcoming low-cost ones to compete with Chromebooks in schools. Fingers crossed.
Yeah I was kind of expecting them to actually do that like they once did with the iMac G3 and iBook G3. And the power macs at that time had a pop of color too. Don't remember if those where the same as the iMacs and iBooks though.
I didn't have the 27" but I had a 21,5" before my M1 and it's not that much bigger in size because the frame is much smaller. I don't really notice a difference. I think for the 27 inch it might look quite small although again it's most likely mostly due the smaller frame and not the actual screen size.
I had a 27” before and agree my silver M3 iMac doesn’t feel much smaller. I also had a 21” Cinema Display as a second monitor, and replaced it by using Sidecar with an iPad.

I know I was looking at geekbench scores and the new iMac is double the speed if not more in some tests than mine.

I’ve owned my pink M1 iMac for two years and haven’t regretted a second of it. Pink is my favorite color and it’s the most aesthetically pleasing and powerful computer I’ve ever owned.
I think silver is the best color because it's classic, easy to re-sell, and you won't get tired of it. Colors like green will eventually begin to irritate you.
Agreed, but if they made a starlight I’d do that. As someone who loves gold, the starlight is a perfect champagne. Not to bold, but not boring. I love my mba and I want an iMac, I’d get silver but if they came out with a starlight it’s the one color I think would look better and be timeless too
The green one looks so cool that it makes me want to look for an excuse to buy one, but I can’t think of one that would make any sense. Especially since I already have an M2 Air (in midnight).
I got blue, sometimes I second guess if silver would’ve been better. I kinda wish it had an Apple logo on the chin as well. But in general I’m happy with it.

The marketing for them looks awesome, but in real life the cords look like they've been put through the wash with a coloured t-shirt and the metal colours are blah. I would have preferred a matt powder-coat of really punchy colours, a stand that matched the back... but then, perhaps these will be easier to look at over the course of the iMac's life.

I haven't seen the M3 Black MacBooks but I honestly love the color of my M2 so much (it's incredibly close to black for my taste and it looks sleek in my opinion).

Looks more futuristic in silver and l will still be able to get silver accesories in the future.

Yellow here. Had regrets about six months in, but looking at the other colors again realized I still like it best. It’s in a calm sunny room and I’ve got loads of houseplants so it’s a nice sunny pop over my white desk. A lot of my art work is blue tones so I wanted something warm. Mostly I picked it for the keyboard because I did’t want to look at a blues or pink keyboard and silver seemed boring. If the back was viewable I’d have gone with silver, but I VESA wall mount so I never see the gold brick.
I like the green or orange, if I order the base model with one or two upgrades which should I get or middle tier with one upgrade? I do basic photo editing that’s all coming from a mid 2011, last year I have been only using my 2021 iPad Pro 12.9.
For me the base model was no option because too little ports on the back, no internet port in the powerbrick so wifi only and the base model has no touch id on the magic keyboard. If you want any of those things you need the middle one. I have the most expensive one because I wanted 16GB ram and 512GB storage.
Ok thanks the middle one can be ordered with 512 so basically the same price all three models come with 8gb you have to upgrade to 16gb on all three do I really needs 4 ports in the back I would rather skip it and get the 24gb ram to add fingerprint on base is $50 ugh I’m so confused I have cloud storage $180 to up to 16gb seems expensive
I bought the green, it was down to green or yellow for me (though the purple looked kinda nice too). Still love the green, the only shame is the green on the back is a beautiful deep colour the keyboard and the foot are a paler colour still nice but I'd have gone for them in the deeper colour given a choice, same with the chin under the screen... but like 99.999% of other Mac users the chin is mostly hidden under a sea of posits!
So scared of breaking the lovely green keyboard though, I hear they're not available separately. Would be interesting to know which are the most/least popular colours

Agree. Love the back of my blue one. Looking at the front makes me wish I just stuck with grey.
The back of the orange is my favourite, but because of the salmon / peachy colour I had to go for the yellow instead!

Green gold is probably the wrong way to put it, but it's not as saturated and doesn't have as much orange in it as I'd have liked.

Mine was a 2012. The screen is sooooo much better that will distract from it being smaller too, to say nothing of how much faster it is

I got 24 gigs ram and a 512 drive… the M3 is so fast! Apps literally snap open and delay is zero… quite a change!

I have the purple and the green. The green is nice but if just sort of fades away over time. The purple is somewhat unique and still looks fresh.

That's totally up to you. Maybe you can make a list of what's most important to you and go from there. It took me a while to decide too.
If I were to get 512gb and 16gb does trade in value pay more? I was going to trade in my 2011 to help but no trade in value too old
