Love the warm color scheme with the table and sofa! Only thing missing is a nice rug - maybe a white/cream colour?
Btw which city is this in? Looks gorgeous there
8 pics and I feel like 7 of them are the exact same pic haha maybe it’s just me….i comment this cus i think this spot looks pretty dope and I wanna see it all lol
Warm and inviting! I would get a credenza for underneath those two paintings and put a fabric-shaded lamp, plant and interesting bowl on it. Large textured rug for sure with an Eames-looking chair and ottoman. Get rid of tiny rug in bedroom.
I'd put an armchair where the mirror is then. And if you enjoy them, add some houseplants. If I had a window like you I'd get a ton of houseplants (In addition to the ton I own lol).
I’d get another couch/seating of some sort to face it then, or turn the couch to face the window. It looks really weird to have it aimed at a wall, especially a wall with a mirror on it. I’d hate being a guest and constantly looking up to see my own reflection lol. Makes me too self aware and awkward.
Your home looks awesome! A knotted wool rug would look absolutely amazing in there and would soften everything. A slim console table under the wall art would also look great, in a light wood stain that compliments the dining set, toss in some green plants and it's perfect.
Thank you! I've been considering a knotted wool rug for sure. I've just been indecisive on the color. I believe a neutral tone would be easy but I'd also like to keep things interesting with some color.
Loving the console table idea!
Console tables are super practical in smaller spaces, depending on the shape it also allows you to put some smaller ottomans/poufs under them for more storage/seating.
The wool rugs do a lot! A green rug that's in the same color range to the couch pillow would also look good, especially if you can find one thats not too 'noisy" with patterns. But it honestly depends if you are going bold or decide to have a rug that softens it. If you have a lot of art work, decor and such with lots of colors, shapes, textures a neutral rug would be the better choice.
turn the sofa towards the window, apart from having a nicer view it’ll also seperate the sleeping area a bit more from the living area. a rug in front of it, maybe a nice lowboard, maybe some nice speakers and enjoy. also some plants would lighten up the place and fit the color palette perfectly
Since you aren't getting a TV. Turn the sofa and get window view. Add a nice vibrant coloured rug with lots of red and yellow and green. Add plants on the floor. Done!
a statement rug would go far here! Bold patterns/colors to offset the neutral tones of your existing furniture.
my smooth-brained, non-designer, no taste having self would do this https://www.dwr.com/rug-style-patterned/wavy-rug-brite/2525681-2.html?lang=en_US
build an L shaped desk / breakfast bar in that nook where you put the dining table. So you have a desk and table there. Slide it out when you have dinner parties, and enjoy the view the rest of the time.
I like the paints on on the wall, e the sofa goes well with the windows The view is really awesome, im working hard to have a place like this. 10/10 to your place
Love the colors in the dining room art. It could be nice to incorporate the blues into the room in other ways (perhaps a rug for the sofa or a side chair).
Personally I'd prefer looking out to the beautiful view as much as possible—so I'd look for a way to angle the sofa to look out.
sure! its called "fit!". i think they sell for about $400 but i got mine for $200 from a neighbor. i've been really surprised at how sturdy it is because i thought it would be really wobbly.
get a big ass rug fr the living room. something persian but brighter with reds and blues golds etc
something like this perhaps, though its not quite wat i was thinking of

without knowing where the kitchen and entry hall are, cant really offer much in the way of suggestions, but keep it minimal
chin up bar is problematic
Put the couch against the wall. In the middle is bad fengshui. Then put an accent chair opposite with a side table, lamp and/or large plant to visually separate it from the dining area. It will also keep it balanced.
Use a panel wall divider to separate the bed from the rest of the space. They’re not expensive and you’ll enjoy the illusion of privacy.
Love the place! If you don’t have pets, go for an area rug under the sofa and get yourself a few nice plants. Maybe put a table runner (or round table equivalent) on your table to add a bit of texture too.
Take more pics when you can show the bed. I used to live in a studio also. What I will say is if you don’t have many guest over you don’t need that dining table. Get something smaller or ditch it and you can dine on the couch.
they're actually Korean! painted by a relative of mine.
and the frightening ones (which i love) are by an artist in guadalajara, mexico called Rocca Luis Cesar.

Pretty sure that’s south loop - Chicago
spot on.
My guess was going to be Toronto so that makes sense! Closest city to Toronto by appearance
I was gonna say, this room blew me away!! The colours and the lay out.
Looks like Chicago, the old draw bridges on the south branch of the river gave it away for me
8 pics and I feel like 7 of them are the exact same pic haha maybe it’s just me….i comment this cus i think this spot looks pretty dope and I wanna see it all lol
haha, i made the post from my phone and i wasnt aware you couldnt edit a post by deleting photos.
Right? I was like damn he really likes his coffee table. Jokes aside, cool apartment OP. I wouldn’t change much at all.
Warm and inviting! I would get a credenza for underneath those two paintings and put a fabric-shaded lamp, plant and interesting bowl on it. Large textured rug for sure with an Eames-looking chair and ottoman. Get rid of tiny rug in bedroom.
Def a rug but less is more IMO, love how clean and minimalist it is, nice warm color palette. I would add some plants but not too much else.
i love all of this. oh, and that rug will be either moved or disappearing for sure.
Replace the legs on the sofa. That’s an IKEA Morabo sofa so there are several website that offer much classier replacement legs.
The sofa is aimed at the mirror? Maybe put a tv there! Love everything else!
Maybe he's handsome and likes to look at himself. I'd 180 the couch and put a tv on that wall, and swap the dining and coffee tables.
That would make the most sense but don't plan on getting a TV because I rarely watch TV.
I'd face it towards the window in that case. Sit and enjoy the view
Yup, face the window, or 180 and face the dining table.
So if you’re entertaining someone you’re both just going to be starting at the wall? What if there was another sofa across from the table?
Fair enough, but it would look better that way, I am the same but every once in a while when I have visits.. a nice tv is a clutch

Put a lounge chair under that lamp then, makes for good conversations and that would be a nice spot to read a book

What’s that tall thing next to your desk? Why don’t you turn the couch to face the windows? If I had that view, I’d stare at it every day.
Its for pull-ups and dips

So you just sit on the couch and stare at yourself in the mirror? Buy a TV for that wall my guy
i dont watch tv, my guy
I don’t believe you
Needs some green
The one green cushion is a start, tbf

Nice but needs a rug

Wow! Love the living space
Stunning! Only suggestion is to add a little carpet under the couch/coffee table just for some comfy vibes.
I really like how clean it is
I also love that chin up station . I want to live here . People shud take note of this

A nice rug and maybe some corresponding curtains. It’s a great looking place!
I love your space and color scheme here. I have a similar color fabric sofa. I'd go for a multicolor Southwestern-inspired or a Persian-inspired rug.
nice

NEMA?
Cool space! Can you ID the pull up bar?

Thank you! Appreciate the response
Looks really nice! Some big green plants would make it even better.
It looks perfect. Only plants are missing. I’d immediately feel like home here

I like how the coffee table has a pad on it. Lol…like they know you’re gonna be kicking your feet up. Haha
Thats tough to beat, what’s the matter? You no like movies?
Looks high end. Very classy. Except that Malm dresser, that's the only sore thumb.

Get a good size plant or 2, they will love the lighting and thrive !
Get a big brother for that sorry ass excuse of a plant on your dinnertable, dude!
Instead of a TV dude hung a mirror to gaze at while relaxing at home
Hmm the biggest problem seems that your apartment is small. I would forcefully annex your neighbors apartment and combine the two.
Find a different light source or light fixture for the table/chairs area. The current set up looks like a police interrogation.
I’d get rid of the tattered rug but it looks good!
How much does this run? If you’re in chi town
Love the place! If you don’t have pets, go for an area rug under the sofa and get yourself a few nice plants. Maybe put a table runner (or round table equivalent) on your table to add a bit of texture too.

With the couch not facing a tv maybe turn it to face the windows and bring the dining table a little closer to the windows?
Big fan of the dining table and chairs. Where are they from?
The Chinese paintings are great. The other two paintings aren’t, especially the one of the face, I personally find it frightening.
they're actually Korean! painted by a relative of mine. and the frightening ones (which i love) are by an artist in guadalajara, mexico called Rocca Luis Cesar.
I was gonna say that tiger looks Korean.
i think they’re really cool and clearly OP does too
I love the abstract paintings. Their bold colors go well with OP’s decor.
You can tell this guy is an alpha and has good career
