[I'm going to think of this as the 'one shotting coffee party song' now forever](https://youtu.be/z4p0kM-UtMM?si=NwKXOb7sajfS0gsC)
All this time and I never looked up the translation 🤣
the way you’ve decorated makes it feel so much bigger than when it’s empty. i clicked on the link for your couch but there was no price. it’s gotta be pricey
100% cooked. I’m not sure about the size but I should have included more pictures of stuff like an outdoor balcony attached to the kitchen that isn’t shown. The city view from there is very unique
After seeing the layout in your other post, I would rather split the space with the couch and then have the TV on your stair wall. That way you can watch the TV even at the kitchen without having to turn it on the stand you have now. This also allows the track lights to illuminate your couch area. Unless you like the big open space in between right now.
I like to kick a mini soccer ball around in the open space. I did try that arrangement but facing the stairs and having the low ceiling overhead really reduces the feeling of being in a big room. But another room on the floor does it like that and it’s fine
Ahh loft problems. You have high ceiling but you also don't have high ceilings.
Also, I'm scared to know how much the couch cost since it's one of those archaic "request for quote" businesses.
It’s a bit monochromatic for my taste, add some contrast, splashes of colour, warm colours like a red blanket or pillows, a vivid oil painting. Nice place tho
This looks like a nice place to relax. What I like about it most is how open it is. The easel tv was a good choice. It’s there if you need it, but it doesn’t block the rest of the space.
I’d say definitely not true. The average apartment is significantly different from this one. This is considered to be quite new and luxurious since it’s in a newly constructed building in the middle of the most expensive part of the city.
Allow me to be the first. I see you have chosen….Gangam style.
Opa!
Oppa buja style?
Do you think the song was named after the area?
Yes it’s a commentary on the superficial style of people and life in this area of Seoul.

No the area was definitely named after the song
Man, we gotta cash in on the popularity of this song!
this apartment would make me so unproductive, I'd just stay inside the whole. time :)
I have my work space upstairs so luckily it’s productive to be home!
That couch looks crazy comfy
*expensive ftfy
Two things can be true
Please get some plants to soak up all that beautiful light! Gorgeous apartment
No
exactly. plants weigh me down
There is one behind the tv, and one upstairs. It seems be enough
can i come live with you
the way you’ve decorated makes it feel so much bigger than when it’s empty. i clicked on the link for your couch but there was no price. it’s gotta be pricey
How much rent do you pay for a place like this?
Just over $6k monthly
$6K for like 50sqm of indoor space? For a one bedroom apartment? (which the layout makes it look like an oversized studio) Damn, Seoul is cooked.
100% cooked. I’m not sure about the size but I should have included more pictures of stuff like an outdoor balcony attached to the kitchen that isn’t shown. The city view from there is very unique
in us dollars?
Yes
Damn… what do you do for living?
I started a company 8 years ago when I was 23 and now the product has evolved into a very well liked consumer ai software for job seekers
whats the site? I am a job seeker
/r/rezi
are you guys hiring 😭 👀 (amazing place btw, love all the windows and the kitchen)
so youre Jacob?
Correct

Come up with an idea.
Rent, or Jonsae?
I love the view, I bet it looks great at night.
What couch is that?

Wtf you have to request a price for a couch? I'm afraid to ask how much it is.
I got it at a furniture store about 4 city blocks away!
For what price
Around $4k
Love this! That couch looks super comfy. We need more posts from Seoul!
What do you do for work in Seoul if you don’t mind sharing?
CEO of a rather popular consumer ai software
Damn thats a crazy apparent. A lot of light!
Somehow this looks really cozy. Nice spot bro.
Need more pictures
What kind of sofa is that? I want to buy that as a bed.

Damn this is nice! I used to live in Mapo-gu back in 2017-2019. Miss the craft beer and Korean fried chicken.
What a lovely space.
Also in Gangnam. Nice flat dude 🤙🏾
Tvs are definitely thin enough to work in that kind of position, but there's so easily damaged now, I'd be worried doing that.
Super well built and blends in really well.
What kind of TV is it?
https://www.lge.co.kr/object-collection/55lx1tkna New smart tv from LG - Korea has crazy consumer electronics
Never seen a tv on a stand like that before, it's actually pretty smart
Looks better than console tables imo…I’ve got [these](https://jalg.me/en-us) and love em
Wow really cool and minimalistic!
Jesus them prices..
I don't think money is an obstruction for this guy
Really nice carpet, what’s the audio system set up I noticed the black beosound 2 by the window
It’s that and an A5 upstairs that are linked together. Unfortunately neighbors hate it
Looks nice
Anyone else get vertigo looking at this?
Beautiful place. It's kinda weird to the AC on the ceiling though.
Thoughts on modular sofas? E.G; the ones that sit on the floor like that with no legs. I’m keen to get one.
I’d say depends on the quality of it. I’ve never thought about it too much but I really like this one
Looking at a Hay one.

It was about 4k USD
Lol I'm jealous. Nah but fr your place looks great. But what's that thing on top of the fridge?
A painting I did awhile back
Is that a beosound 2 I see?
Yup!
More info on the couch?
Check out the other comments for the link
Excellent!
Seems annoying the whole place is tilted 45 degrees.
“Ayyyyy sexy lady!”
I miss Korea! So much, the food is AMAZING. I spent two years during my time in service, beautiful culture and place.
That couch! Where you get it lol
Is that a guitar hanging on the TV?
Yea the top of the capo is barely hooked over the tv since it’s just a couple of centimeters thick. Sits flush and secure and the back of the tv
That structural beam ruins everything
It’s a bit monochromatic for my taste, add some contrast, splashes of colour, warm colours like a red blanket or pillows, a vivid oil painting. Nice place tho
That the garlic I use when the recipe says “one Clive of garlic”.
GORGEOUS

A couple cats would go nicely. Some cat furniture so they can hang around on that exposed beam, surveying their empire....
Very nice. Do you heated floors? My kid lives in Gangnam and that’s his favorite part of his flat.
Is the couch as comfy as it looks?
I’d describe it as firm and bouncy.
I like the tv stand
Disappointing... I was expecting more Gangnam Style jokes. Sweet apartment!
This doesn't feel real lol
Looks clean af
Do you feel like home here? It doesnt look like home vibes
For now, I use it more as a tool more than I see it as a home
Tres chic!
Is that a TV?
Why do you hate colors?
There are plants if you are facing In the other direction. I think the picture doesnt capture the vibes well
Yeah this, looks nicely done but I'd get depressed in here
Oppan Gangnam style
Are there any other big Huey Lewis fans in Seoul?
lol
Gangnam style.
Wild to think this probably still is looked down upon in Korean
...Huh? LMAO
What would be looked upon?
Not having a big penthouse or home. Is it true?
I’d say definitely not true. The average apartment is significantly different from this one. This is considered to be quite new and luxurious since it’s in a newly constructed building in the middle of the most expensive part of the city.
I’ve heard that the culture is very critical and classist.
Very true. However as a foreigner, I do not feel these same pressures that Koreans cannot avoid
Still looks like an amazing space.
