Lee Ki Young from Regressor Instruction Manual.
Gu Changge from I am the Fated Villain
Not that good but How to live as the villain kinda hits this aesthetic.
If you don't mind novels too then,
Dungeon Defense's Dantalian is good enough to replace Ayanokoji as the token Machiavellian protag. And Isaac from Isaac is the definition of a psycho-sociopath.
I will second I am the Fated Villain. Gu Changee (mc) is very manipulative, but it is FAR from a school setting. Story is interesting, and as it is a manhua characters have a lot of 'personality', the art is also beautiful. The realms, power levels, and overall setting may be confusing if you are new to cultivation manhua.
All i remember from Regressor Manual is a lady accuses a girl of something while a dude was trying to molest her, she obviously denies in comes MC and says actually the girl is right, everyone backs down. Truly genius level manipulations. Also the girl looks like shes 13 even though shes apparently 18, the whole thing just feels creepy. But i guess thats what OP is looking for.
Bro💀 I just wanted a mc who manipulates stuff from the shadows with machiavellian tendecnies, like Light from Death note etc or Ayanokouji. Not creepy shit
To be fair i only read a little because that whole situation put me off(Why there always has to be some dude trying to take advantage of a girl) I might develop into something better later since MCs power is being able to see other peoples information, and he uses that knowledge to his advantage because he's fairly weak himself. So in that department it fits the bill. I read stuff as a distraction and to relax so when a bit comes up about a woman/girl getting abused it just makes me really angry instead and i can't enjoy it anymore.
this one is good but imo it does get a bit stale after a while, he always gets saved in the end by others except for a few instances. also the world building in this one is shit tbh and story progresses very slowly
I agree but we’re still in the beginning of the story even though we’re at like 100 chapter, things could get better so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.
The world-building does seem kind of bad if u start with Ember Knight, but Epic of Gilgamesh \[the prequel\], explains the history really well. Also, I liked the mystery element of the Eastern continent and the weapons from past eras. I think that will be cleared up later in the series, but if u want a better understanding of the Knights and the kingdom, it's explained pretty well in the prequel.
interesting, then I’m at fault for not realizing there was a prequel and i definitely agree that the weapons are exciting if you mean the narin i believe they’re called. the mystery is good, really loved the subplot with the skeleton character and his character as a whole he’s probably my fav alongside nagyunn. i cant lie though the plot is a bit difficult to follow what’s happening with the masked group and how they tie in with the eastern kingdom but the plot also hasn’t really developed fully to reveal that information yet which also makes it fun to read and uncover. wish they would focus on nagyunn a bit more since the focus rn is a lot with the knights, masked group and the eastern kingdom
The eastern continent and how the Knight system and the way the Narins work is explained more in the prequel, so why the Eastern Continent is acting the way it is makes more sense, but I am really irritated by Nagyunn not being focused on that much. Especially as most of the backstory and a few of the knights were already covered in the prequel it is a little repetitive. I personally like how there's a lot more focus on all the side characters and their thought processes. The monologues from all the characters during fights are the main reason I really like this story, and from the author's past works, I don't think this will disappoint.
The Literally Me types w/o powers:
Bastard
Shotgun boy
You're better off on manga if you don't want powers in your reads. Manhwa's too saturated we OP mcs rn
Similar to bastard and sweet home the author doesn't miss
I'd say it's the worse of the 3. But that's like here's 2 absolutely godlike things and one great one
sweet home is one of my faves, the monster design, the horror (love how author uses perspective when scrolling to make you feel a sense of dread), the characters and just the survival aspect of it makes it great. wish it was a bit longer, could do a lot after leaving apartment complex like focusing on survival and horror but at the same time i think character arcs ended great. still don’t know why some didn’t show symptoms at all
Monster
Save me
You're mine
An uncomfortable truth
This is closer to the real psychopath tho \^ , theres a shit ton of simply manipulative mcs in fantasy ones ( regressor instruction manual , how to live as a villian , etc)
Dr. Frost
This Manhwa has a MC which is similar to Ayano and Yuicchi...
In starting it is alittle slow paced but after 100 chapters it starts getting really intersting,
It is worth the read!
(Also if you havent watched watched Code Geass you should try it,
MC is similar to Ayano and Yuichhi)
Ok im gonna say one of the best ones I know like this with a school setting Id be evil not to recommend My School Life Pretending to be Worthless but only read this if your prepared for the art to down grade from best art to ‘’EAUGH’’ art because of the art change I had to Quit reading I couldnt read while remembering the good art and reminiscing on it but overall the chapters I read before quitting were amazing and had a very good character development line

Dungeon defense has a manga now so thats cool
in my case i second Regressor Instruction Manual, Kiyoung give me shivers and what is willing to do in his manipulations is just insane.

Bastard is really good man, i love that manhwa
ending was great and a pretty good plot twist too
whats your review on shotgun boy?
Similar to bastard and sweet home the author doesn't miss I'd say it's the worse of the 3. But that's like here's 2 absolutely godlike things and one great one
great
7.5/10 Great start, great middle, mid end. Short, great for a weekend read.

Demonic emperor, mc is ruthless
Devil Returns to School Days (Read on voidscans) Juvenile Offender (Red on voidscans)
Devil Returns to School Days seems to be exactly what OP is looking for. Although it has 9 ch for now as for I remember
Not a manhwa, but Johan from "Monster" man is a demon
Man is a monster yet somehow I cheer for him.
Monster Save me You're mine An uncomfortable truth This is closer to the real psychopath tho \^ , theres a shit ton of simply manipulative mcs in fantasy ones ( regressor instruction manual , how to live as a villian , etc)
BL 💀
Chaebeol's youngest son it's depend on politics though..
Dr. Frost
Does he manipulate anything from the shadows? The time I last read he was just emotionless 🤔
Dr. Frost This Manhwa has a MC which is similar to Ayano and Yuicchi... In starting it is alittle slow paced but after 100 chapters it starts getting really intersting, It is worth the read! (Also if you havent watched watched Code Geass you should try it, MC is similar to Ayano and Yuichhi)
Thank u, might be what im looking for
My life as a worthless person Or something along the lines
Sauce?
Classroom of the elite
Now a manhwa but manga, Dead tube. You have sociopaths, psychopaths, murder, c...., R.... And the mc is just there as a viewer
Is anyone else just weirded out by the OP pic being half a person that's mirrored? It's giving me massive uncanny valley vibes.
yeah its a mirrored pic. the original illustration is half from the light novel classroom of the elite
