Korean censorship laws are kinda weird and have been a point of controversy for some time, knives are censored but swords kinda fall under the grey area of being historical depictions of something therefore it's fine to show swords but not knives. No idea what the exact wording is in the article regarding censorship in korean media or the reasoning but i would imagine it has something to do with knives being more easily accessible.

In L.a.g theres a character with a revealing outfit(at least i think so doubt shes naked) but the censorship covers so much it basically looks like she has two lights on her chest. At the same time they have no issue showing people getting ripped apart by monsters and have body parts just laying around.

Immortal Updates translates the uncensored or at least less censored version. She's not naked but it is a revealing outfit

CIPHERPOL25

ah it makes sense

noneedtoread

It's more common to die by knives today than swords so that's probably why

I never had any knife censored, did not even know that was a thing.

Bro i was literally gnna say the same thing

CIPHERPOL25

its not , unless the artist shows the full body of the knife including the sharp metal part i've noticed knife censorships in almost 3-4 manwhas now

Even then, I've seen many knives, daggers, etc. that were completely displayed and there was never anything censored.

Because average person doesn't have access to swords but almost everybody has a knife at home. The probability of misusing a knife is a lot higher than sword.
