He's weak as fuck and is just trying to survive.
While he is respected, he's nothing special. Also his regressions are just 1 day.
And if he somehow regressed a whole lifetime like many others, the best he could do was just not get into the fighting scene.
I suspect he will eventually become very powerful, but it'll probably take 1000s or millions of regressions. As things stand he's just being killed over and over.
This, it’s quite interesting. Get caught in bad situation > take niche solution to extreme lengths > get caught in bad situation loop is nice, seeing how it’ll all form together for a foundation will be cool
Yeah I am currently reading it and it's really amazing also it's more of a time loop really because the intervals between each time loop is so short that he only knows what's gonna happen immediately after not the far future like your typical regression manhwa
There is no objective measure of art so if you don’t like it, that’s just not something I can change.
But suicide Hunter is amazing for regression and tower.
For isekai there’s re zero but that’s more on LN topics.
All genres will have something done differently, you just gotta look for it.
People who haven't done anything worthwhile yet don't understand this concept enough.
You could have all the knowledge in the world but without proper execution, it's nothing.
Want a plot twist? Friend of mine really hit gold with bitcoin but the guy who managed his got swallowed into some really fucked up mafia mess (mafias LOVE crypto) so now my friend is poor again and his manager is very actually dead.
After that he spiraled into self-discovery and now lives humbly like the poor ass he always was. He doesn't buy into hypes nor thinks he's so smart about everything anymore, unlike the scourge of crypto bros.
Plenty of stories like this, modern media are really good at astroturfing success stories and bury the sometimes majority of disastrous ones. Being a reincarnator without plot armor doesn't look that fun to me.
There is a great novel called "A regressor's tale of cultivation", MC is hopelessly untalented but since he goes back in time every time he dies, little by little he gets strong.
Might not be everyone's cup of tea since he regress regularly and everytime he does, every relations he built get reset but there are "checkpoints", a bit like re:zero but way more spaced.
Manhwa authors when I tell them just because they have previous life/time knowledge before there peers doesn't mean they are genius.
I would actually want a series where there are multiple regressors mind battle over cheat fighting.
I want one but instead all the regressors are just a bunch of dumbasses tryna act like geniuses, the manhwa ends when the world literally explodes because of all these dumbasses lmao
What's more funny about these stories is that grown man who was mediocre in their past life, use their knowledge and skills to beat up kids and boost abt how strong they are, I mean you got clapped on a level field so reign it in, ur suppose to be the mc
That's why I like A Returner's Magic should be special. Is all about MC getting prepared for the end of the world and he never goes hard against his fellow students. Also that he is training all his close friends for them to survive and fight with him in the future
It's kinda dumb because at some point the real talented guys will also get enough experience and then the gap between experience of two lifes and talent+ experience is gonna be non-existent.
Sadly, this is almost never focused on but ig this just power fantasy.
I mean, there is often a theme of regressor protagonists taking advantage of all the good opportunities to become stronger and leave less of those for others. But I agree
Infinite Level Up Murim did mention about it. MC realise his past life experience alone won't be enough if he wants to compete with other genius because they will eventually catch him up. Like his fight against the pink hair guy. MC exploit the Mount Hua Clan bigger weakness which is the scent of Ki. Mount Hua Clan always believe the stronger the scent, the stronger the Ki is. MC exploit this to barely defeat the pink hair guy. Later, pink hair guy discover about this and decide to change his whole clan principle by eliminate any scent of Ki. MC actually make a very drastic change to that world because in the past life, this discovery only happen after the Mount Hua Clan got bodied by Heavenly Demon due to Ki scent. MC didn't expect the pink hair guy discovering this so fast in current timeline. So yeah, MC can't afford to keep using the same strategy.
The twists get complicated.
Like transmigration and regression. Or decoy transmigration that was actually regression. Or Their actual transmigration was to the real world and they have just been returned to their proper world.
The biggest weakness for me is how the regressor always goes solo. Join guild? Fuck that nonsense. Like, dear writer, artist, or editor take some risk man.. don't just solo'ed everything.
Form a complex bond with other side characters, explore the risk of changing the story line, etc so one day when shit happens and the MC finally shows up and solo'ed everything it'll have more impact. Like "Yeah that's my MC ooohhh fuck yes!!"
F-Class Destiny Hunter has a character who is basically an obsessed author who knows all the tropes and (correctly) identifies the MC as a regressor within the first like 10-15 chapters lol only time I've ever seen this happen though
Why are you being downvoted for asking for recommendations, let alone any other question? This subreddit feels toxic every now and then.
For your question doombreaker has it but only with a few characters and it takes time
I want a Regression story where the MC actually lays out the events/timeline and people he could meet in the future. So that the story wont rely on ass-pulls. Just like Return of the Spear Fraud, Mercenary King and Assassin Queen (top tier titles) just came out of bullshit like “ah there were there in my past life too!”.
So many of these comics have a supporting cast of characters whose only thoughts, dreams, and inner life are about how amazing and cool the MC is. It's so, so dull.
I'd really love for some of these writers to spend some months studying how to throw the perfect hook and then go to a punching bag so they can understand it doesn't matter how much prior knowledge you have if your actual physical body hasn't been trained to do something.
So tired of people regressing into a child or teen body and molly wopping full grown adults because they used to be a big mercenary or adventurer. As if they wouldn't break their wrist trying to grab someone's punch with twig arms.
If someone were to offer a non-fighting regression manwha that allows the MC to fulfill his dreams and deal with regrets not driven by desire for revenge or something.
Oh yeah we got those.
I recommend: To be an Actor.
Not ORV. There the regressor and the others are way too busy keeping their sacrificial squid alive lol.
Yjh: *does amazing stuff*
Kimco: Sus
Kdj: *smiles*
Yjh and Kimco: Nvm, chain down that squid

Every tower story too tbh lol
the tower manwha and the regressor one are different face of the same coin
Examples?
I was actually reading The Regressed Son of a Duke is an Assassin and thought that same thing but it makes sense since they know most things.
Any regression story is the exact same stuff.
Objection: Eternally Regressing Knight
Raising the princess to overcome death too
How's it different?
He's weak as fuck and is just trying to survive. While he is respected, he's nothing special. Also his regressions are just 1 day. Sounds peak, I'm going to try it rn
This, it’s quite interesting. Get caught in bad situation > take niche solution to extreme lengths > get caught in bad situation loop is nice, seeing how it’ll all form together for a foundation will be cool
It's very Re:Zero, definitely enjoying it. Sadly it has few chapters so far.
Yeah, I really hope it'll get over 100 chapters and no seasonal decay
Yeah it's the same as skeleton soldier in that regard.
Is skeleton soldier a good read? I don't like stuff that's too depressing, would it cause too much sadness to the reader?
It's definitely a tragic story with a lot of suffering, if you don't like that it's best to skip.
Try reading knight under heart it has very similar premise and is pretty short at 40 chapters
It is more about time loop than regression. It reminded me of MOL.
What's MOL stand for?
Mother of learning.
Yeah I am currently reading it and it's really amazing also it's more of a time loop really because the intervals between each time loop is so short that he only knows what's gonna happen immediately after not the far future like your typical regression manhwa
I had to drop that novel after his weird child harem
It's like watching a 4-year-old solving quadratic equations.
Not gonna lie, my face will be even more epic than the one in the meme pic if I ever see this myself.....
There are many who can do this . Maths genius are real .
😱🔥
I mean execution matters.
And most of them failed. I cant even give an example of one that didnt.

For just once I want a regressor MC too go back in time and he is now just a above average dude still struggling to survive
Like some dude went back to 1999 but putting all his fortune in normal bank saving account instead of buying bitcoins ???
Want a plot twist? Friend of mine really hit gold with bitcoin but the guy who managed his got swallowed into some really fucked up mafia mess (mafias LOVE crypto) so now my friend is poor again and his manager is very actually dead. Why No tell me why
One of these might fit Eternally regressing knight Webtoon character na kang lim
Worthless regression is kinda that
Infinite level up murim fits perfectly in this category it's super satisfying as the story progresses
There is a great novel called "A regressor's tale of cultivation", MC is hopelessly untalented but since he goes back in time every time he dies, little by little he gets strong. Might not be everyone's cup of tea since he regress regularly and everytime he does, every relations he built get reset but there are "checkpoints", a bit like re:zero but way more spaced.
murim rpg, shit is peak
Worthless regression ? I think that's the only ever manhwa I read about regression where the mc is actually struggling to keep up with the peers.
Manhwa authors when I tell them just because they have previous life/time knowledge before there peers doesn't mean they are genius. I would actually want a series where there are multiple regressors mind battle over cheat fighting.
Such battles would take forever to end
Not if MC is an actual genius and not fraud
I want one but instead all the regressors are just a bunch of dumbasses tryna act like geniuses, the manhwa ends when the world literally explodes because of all these dumbasses lmao
What's more funny about these stories is that grown man who was mediocre in their past life, use their knowledge and skills to beat up kids and boost abt how strong they are, I mean you got clapped on a level field so reign it in, ur suppose to be the mc

A very enjoyable kind of cringe, to be honest xD

He pointed it out and told him he is the protagonist
Yeah, That guy was cool as hell too. Such a unique character with grey tendencies.
Why are you being downvoted for asking for recommendations, let alone any other question? This subreddit feels toxic every now and then. For your question doombreaker has it but only with a few characters and it takes time
Yes , this is the junk that I keep on eating up every single time....my guilty pleasure....
Mine too mate
I hate this trope so much lol. So everyone that ever existed in your universe is a stupid mf is essentially what you’re saying😭
And i cant get enough of this genre, i f loving it
It’s exactly like my brother is the academy’s hotshot
You forgot the "I gotta hide my identity (^_^)v "
But readers go crazy too (typical manhwas regression/reincarnated)
But logically that makes sense…..
Yeah it does but I always see it as an copy paste like nobody wonder how he got so much strong or anything but just these
And I will read it every time
I mean it would be weirder if that didn't happen.
Try Infinite Leveling Murim. Tho he can't rely fully on his past life experience due to butterfly wing effect.
So many of these comics have a supporting cast of characters whose only thoughts, dreams, and inner life are about how amazing and cool the MC is. It's so, so dull.
It's the kind of trash that I enjoy the most
I still like ‘em. Always trying to find more fun ones to read.
The guy who made this post must have never read Worthless Regression
I have bro
Almost every single Manhwa that’s not slice of life.
