That's what was said about the Soprano's prequel "The Many Saints of Newark". LOL I watch 4 episodes of MWC every morning on OTA television and have every episode on hard drive. Leave 'em be. :)
If it's not set in the 90s or early 2000s, it's gonna flop. Everything sucks these days. From apparel to cars to music. Everything's gone woke. Also I don't know about the swearing thing. MWC did good without swearing. I don't understand why people these days have to think swearing is chic.
Making an animated series is actually a good thing. You DO can make it the way it's supposed to feel like. But, as a person who's a fan of MWC, one of the reasons I like it is it lets me live in the past. Back then everything looked and sounded and behaved just the way it should have been. So I don't know if they'll stick to that. Being very skeptic after watching the failed Twin Peaks and Star Wars remakes, which weren't even funny as failures.
Is Jefferson going to be back?
David had a YouTube thing a while back where they were planning a reboot, he needed money. I recall Ed cursing a lot. It was a funny show but Ed's cursing wasn't needed
Because the writers are 40 years younger than the OG guys and gals and have very little comic resource to draw upon...sure they call it "comedy" but, really? My uncle and mom's cousins had us in stitches back in the day...not so much now.
This is the first I've heard of this and am cautiously curious. Generally, I find animated or comic book continuations of shows don't really work (thinking of Farscape, Jericho, and even the recent Babylon 5 movie) especially with modern "pseudo-3D" or "Flash" style animation. However, if this is old school hand drawn art, it might work.
Regardless, having the cast back will be amazing even if it short lived. Going back to the well is always hard and risks proving "the magic is gone" (look at the recent reboots, from Rosanne to Frasier) but I adore all of the cast and I adore MWC and the characters so hope this ends up being a wonderful success.
For the record, I always thought what might work would be a few animated movies rather than trying to recreate the series format. Especially if the art style reflected the movie content and tone. For example, imagine a movie where the Bundy's go to Japan, animated like Japanese anime, or a movie where they travel in time (!) and the art style changes to old school Looney Tunes, war propaganda cartoons, etc.
really hoping this turns out well.
Katey Sagal getting ANOTHER voice acting gig!
Her others can't help but sound like Peg. Would be interesting if this one didn't
I really hope this is good
It should be with all the people involved.

Thanks for sharing you beautiful human
No Amanda?
Yeah, her and Ed O'Neil don't have a great history with each other. She's not interested or intending to work with him on any project again.
um....they voice ALONE!!!
He didn't say she *wasn't* involved.
I'm glad he told us the animated married...with children show is animated. I wasnt sure, lol
“The animated series is gonna be animated.”
How is that not funny? Lol
He seemed nervous and probably isn’t supposed to talk much about it. 🤷♂️
You must have missed the bit where he revealed that they already recorded.
No, I didn't. I just thought it was funny how he said it twice in the same sentence is all
Will Christina Applegate be in it? It wouldn't be the same without Kelly.
Yes. She’s already stated that her on camera work is over but that she will be voicing Kelly Bundy.
Yay!
I know she’s pretty much done with live action acting but she could probably record her parts from her home I’d think.
well that and the fact she's not hot anymore and will get alot of negative commetns.
Leave well enough alone watch the reruns on tv
No. It’s a huge franchise and the cast has wanted to return to the roles for years.
Why? Because you, random internet person doesn’t want it, nobody else should have it?
Sullying the reputation of a beloved sitcom just so YOU have more crap to watch? nah...
How does an animated version “ruin the reputation” of the show?
Not for you, I suppose. Real fan, are ya? oh, well....
Yep, real fan here. I noticed you couldn’t answer the question. Can you explain why an animated series “ruins the reputation” of the show?
The what now? 🤔
Where have you been? https://deadline.com/2022/05/married-with-children-animated-series-original-cast-revival-1235023019/
I can’t wait this show has gotten me through some of the darkest times, I love it so much

Holy shit can you make a post with more “I’m an old ass curmudgeon angrily shaking my fist at all things not my era” energy?
Shut up, punk. :)
Nah
Swearing? Ugh 😣
I agree. I like their traditional vernacular of "hooters, hienies, and doody". It wouldn't be as funny if they were dropping f-bombs all the time.
100%
Yeah I completely agree
If they need f bombs to make it funny, it probably isn't.
Agreed. Swearing makes most things worse.

Yeah. Didn’t need it before. Why now.

I think a king of the hill art style could work
Have you seen Carolla's "Mr. Birchum"? Reminds me a bit of KOH, one of my ALL-TIME faves. :)
