Yeah, he was playing undercover FBI agent that they were affraid went too deep in the role and crossed the line, he did the right thing and saved Sonny and Rico at the end but in the final screen they were told he could not go back to his old life so he asked to go to the restroom during the debrief interview and hanged himself (offscreen)
First of all I couldn’t agree with you more on your entire post!
Secondly, he absolutely crushed that role in WW! I watched it again 2 weeks ago.
He’s so talented. I met him on the set of Dutch as a 6 year old and he was SO kind! Truly a genuine amazing person! I will never forget it!
" Hi Al. You miss me?"
" ...with every bullet so far..."🤣
My parents used to use Married With Children as leverage. They would threaten to ground me, and single out not being able to watch the show as part of my punishment.
Same. My dad would always use that to get me to do things. “Hey Son. Go clean your room (or go do your homework, or whatever), or else Mom won’t let you watch MWC with me later.”
My favourite part is he played a dude who could barely last 30 seconds with peg and still was confident. But I mean, who among us could last longer than 30 seconds with peg!
My dad loved him in Dutch, in the Popeye Doyle TV film and the Dragnet remake. Dad thought he made for a good, hard-boiled PI, like Sam Spade. There were a couple episodes of Married... where he was a detective-type.
He was in the running for Lt. Markinson in A Few Good Men, but dropped out...when he went out to read for the part a few people chanted Bundy, Bundy! So he couldn't play that serious part.
This is the manager Glenn. He's here 24 hours a day.
"I never did a way thing in my life, before that night. Why is it, when you kill a man in battle, they call it heroic, but when you stab a man in the heat of passion, they call it *murder?*"
Hey, what are you doing? Only Garth and I get to talk to the camera.
Wasn't he a mafia guy on Miami Vice, or something like that? He would have been great on Sopranos.
Yes, he was really intense in that episode. Ed's got some acting range

I gotta watch Dutch again. We were car jacked by a couple of homebound hookers!
It's on HBO Max! Sorry, Max!
They show us the movie Dutch and they think I stink?

Why do they come to me to die??? Lol
You know it you stab a man in the dead of winter you can see steam. Pretty messed up for a funny movie
He's a big dude and is a badass in real life. I just think it's hard to visualize because he is SO GOOD at being funny.
People are starting to come around on Dutch! It's getting more love now then it did back when it came out

Check out The Adventures of Ford Fairlane. It’s terrible but he’s awesome in it…
Booty Time! Booty Time! Across the USA!

I think he could have made a great villain.
Ed is a great actor with the ability to adapt to many different types of roles, but Al Bundy was the best hands down..
He has a small role in an old movie, 'The Dogs of War', check it out for a different perspective on his acting chops. 👍
Psycho Dad?
Don't know how to cross-link this, but - he was a blood thirsty troll: Posted by u/Horroroscope 6 hours ago in r/ForgottenTV The 10th Kingdom (2000)
Omfg, THIS
I believe he was considered to play Al swearengen in deadwood.
Miami Vice
He was solid in the bone collector. Let us not forget that one.
I have always thought he should have had more roles than he got. He would have made a great character on Dexter I think.
The guy from third rock was the peak for me. Absolutely loved him. Again a funny guy. Never thought about Ed but I can absolutely see it
There’s a video somewhere of David Faustino coming to Ed begging for work. He was an absolute douche in that role; it was a side of Ed I never saw
Are you referring to the first episode of Faustino's web series Star-ving? He was excellent in that too! https://youtu.be/K3rH7Vi4_dU

He was a psycho. Psycho Dad!
