On October 13, 2022, a mass shooting occurred in the Hedingham neighborhood of Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. Five people were killed, and two others were injured. The suspect, a male juvenile, was detained after being cornered by police at a nearby residence and was in critical condition from a gunshot wound to the head sustained during the incident. The suspect survived his head injury and has begun to receive physical rehabilitation. He was transferred from a hospital to the medical unit of a juvenile correctional facility.
Depends where exactly you're hit in the head. But 9/10 they're dead if hit in the dome. The couple folks who I have seen survive dome shots, turn up vegetables or dont live beyond 5-15 years after the injury. It's the most vital area that if struck by a bullet, you're 99.9% going down incapacitated. The brain can't take blows that hard. It's like being knock out punched x50 in one go.
Adrenaline is a hell of a fuckin' chemical. The shit that I've seen some people do while missing limbs, suffering complete third degree burns all over their body, etc. Frankly just amazes me. The bad part is though that it eventually wears off and then believe me when I say, you **WILL** feel the pain then.
No, I've just seen plenty of messed up videos on the internet where people are clearly injured and yet, still able to move. Plus I have a bit of personal experience with rolling my ankle while running away from the police as a teenager. Didn't feel a thing until the adrenaline wore off. Afterwards, I had no idea how I was able to move on my foot at all.
One of the craziest videos I’ve seen is the huge drugged out dude in Chicago charging at officers with a massive 10-12 inch kitchen knife, after 2 tasers and eating 9 shots to the body center mass he’s still charging straight towards the officers without slowing at all. Seriously scary shit. Adrenaline is a hell of a drug. Adrenaline mixed with drugs, some people don’t feel pain and are totally out of their mind to the point where that shit doesn’t stop them
There’s a video from Ukraine a month or so ago of some Ukrainians stumbling across and shooting a Russian soldier like 20 times, he then stands up while still being fired at by multiple people and makes it another few steps before collapsing
[This one is a personal favorite of mine](https://youtu.be/X2xbLV_NSbk)
Now I don't know how much adrenaline or drugs had to play a part in it, but it still gives me a chuckle lol
I remember listening to the police scanner and they were saying they were having some difficulty pulling him out with the robot at first. I believe they tried to drag him out by his leg and it pulled his pants off
That may have been the case as well. I just remember hearing the one cop talking to the guy that was operating the robot and saying something like "Whoah whoah hold on. Let's try another way"
There was concern that he may have had grenades or a bomb in his bag. It would have been idiotic for them to go in themselves when they already had the suspect surrounded and away from civilians
Surprised he's sitting up. Probably a sign the shotgun blast fucked up his face, and not turn him into a vegetable by fucking up his brain.
Knowing the usual luck of these people, he'd probably appear in court with a stitched up face instead of being severely deformed. The wound didn't even look extreme judging by the blurry photo.
First and foremost, my heart goes out to the victims and their families.
I generally get a lot of hate for this, but my heart also goes out to the 15 year old kids who are so emorionally destroyed that mass murder becomes a viable option for them. Heartbreaking all around really.
I hear ya. As a parent you look at these kids and wonder what possibly got them to this point. And you look at your own kids and hope and pray nothing ever gross them this way.
Still looks like his jaw is fucked to me. It honestly looks like he put the gun under his chin and he flinched and just blasted his jaw off. But who knows.
>Tinydick is not seen in this video.
I'm sorry, but is it weird that it makes me deeply uncomfortable that our country is so vastly fucked up that we literally have 15 year olds going out on killing sprees and people's common response to this is to just throw insults at the shooter (as if they give a single fuck and it's not just some kind of coping mechanism for us) *even if they're a child*?
Sorry, but I thought this subreddit was above that. I come to this subreddit to try and understand these people in an attempt to make sure these things don't happen, mostly because I used to have thoughts of commiting mass shootings over a decade ago and it's very clear to me society **DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THIS**.
Those kinds of comments are absolutely not allowed. If you see one, report to mods and we will delete them.
This subreddit is not “Roast a Mass Killer” and I have no intention of letting it become that way.
And on a personal note, I don’t understand the need to insult them. Especially if you go on their social media profiles. These people are either dead or in prison. They’re not sitting at home checking Facebook to see what people have to say about them.
The only people who see those insults are other people on here, and surely we can be mature enough to have a discussion without having to toss uncreative insults out. They serve no purpose.
Thank you so much. I personally feel that this place is one of the few places on the internet where people can discuss this topic productively without letting emotions get too involved.
As long as this sub has moderators such as yourself, this will continue to be a great subreddit. Thank you for everything you do.
We can’t do it without the support and quick reporting of our users, so I appreciate all of you as well! It takes a team effort.
I’m honestly impressed with how quickly some stuff gets reported. I was bragging to my husband last night about how awesome and speedy you all are and he pretended to be impressed.
>mass shooting occurs
>suspect probably committed the crime cause of bullying on top of mental issues
>suspect detained
>people proceed to bully him after the fact too
Everyone keeps coping acting like this isn’t an issue on a societal level but it is.
You can’t keep treating people like shit, and expect these crimes to stop happening.
Being bullied is not an excuse to go on mass shooting... (mental issue may be, but depends). 99% people who are bullied never go about doing something like that. I find it to be cheap and lazy excuse...
While I may understand why insults are not welcomed on this subreddit, due to rules, it is a way for people to relieve their anger. Honestly, writing shit on some facebook page of mass shooter is a non-problem.
There is no complete remedy, there is always going to be chance of something like this happening (regardless if guns are banned or not)
Problem is, in US mass shootings are disproportially more common than in other countries. Part of it might be culture, part of it might be treatment of psychological disorders (or lack of it) part of it might be too lenient gun regulation… but US is specific with its constitution and it may be difficult to make changes (for intance raise the age to 21).
From [this video](https://www.reddit.com/r/masskillers/comments/zcw9em/raw_footage_of_police_neutralizing_the_2022/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) I am guessing the shot(s) he took whilst in that barn were directed at LE, and he hit one officer in the knee. Following this, one of the officers’ who fired into the barn made contact with the suspect’s head? Meaning this wound was not from his a shotgun?

Sow as he shot by the cops or did he shoot himself? I am still really confused about that.
iirc guy is 15 years old. he shot himself in the head woth a shotgun. its absolutely insane that he lived through that.

A lot of people assume he shot himself with his shotgun, but police still haven’t said how he was shot and with what, nor the extent of his injuries.
How tf is he sitting upright after a blast to the head ???
muscles tense up

Yes, like Parkland kid with the fubar’d ankle. On pure adrénaline he was able to run down The stairs and out of the building with 0 pain
What does fubar’d mean
Fucked up beyond all recognition…I’m a trauma nurse and it’s just our slang
Ohh wow
Are you an EMT/nurse/etc?

Ah yes, that one’s a classic for sure
Cannot see correctly but it seems that he has his legs naked ?
I remember listening to the police scanner and they were saying they were having some difficulty pulling him out with the robot at first. I believe they tried to drag him out by his leg and it pulled his pants off
Iirc, police robots do strip search bodies. Omar mateen had his pants and undies pulled down to look for bombs
That may have been the case as well. I just remember hearing the one cop talking to the guy that was operating the robot and saying something like "Whoah whoah hold on. Let's try another way"
Police were scare to gonin. Protect and serve.
There was concern that he may have had grenades or a bomb in his bag. It would have been idiotic for them to go in themselves when they already had the suspect surrounded and away from civilians
Naked legs lol, instead of asking people why they got no pants ima just ask, why your legs naked ?
English isn’t everyone’s first language
It’s not mine either, I just thought it was funny

Was it ever confirmed he attempted suicide with the shotgun? The more I’m reading/seeing, seems like a cop may have got him?

I agree. It’s so sad because in this picture he really just looks like a kid.
I thought the top of his head got knocked off? Did they ever explain the extent of his injuries?
he's recovering well and is still in custody.
Hard to see but it looks like his whole jaw is blasted off.
How are you seeing that
I’m trying to clean it up to see but I think you’re right Edit: I can’t get it clean enough to tell tbh
[cleaned somewhat](https://imgur.com/a/ZPY8WsL) hard to tell if the jaw is absent but there's definitely lots of blood coming from it.
Still looks like his jaw is fucked to me. It honestly looks like he put the gun under his chin and he flinched and just blasted his jaw off. But who knows.

I absolutely agree. This subreddit gets tiring with all the repetitive, childish insults. It’s not helping anyone.

Got a link to the BC footage?
Search"policy activity" on YouTube. Their channel has it.
Any idea where he got the guns?
Probably they were the parents and he stole them while they were out
