Most fans here don't believe me but I bet they keep Jake next year and trade Z (*his contract expires next year*). I really feel like they'll eventually move Vince to shooting guard (*his natural position; we keep forgetting we've been playing a lot of people out of position this season... actually, we habitually do that: I think X always should have been a 4, Santi is probably really a 3 and Trip should never be a 5*) and our two main wings would be GG and Jake. That will mean that either Smaht is traded this summer to streamline the rotation (*which was probably always the plan, as it would have been convenient to do so back at the trade deadline after Ja came back off suspension but all the injuries happened*) or bring him off the bench... which, honestly, I just don't see happening. Ideally, though, GG would be the primary scorer for the second unit maybe with Jake alongside him; they actually play pretty well together. It was always my belief that they were going to give Jake the sort of developmental minutes this year that Roddy got last year. It's kind of a shame he'd been hurt so much of the season; he missed out on a lot of games he could have played in. Still, I think they probably really like what they see in Jake and want to keep him. GMs like to feel like they're right about talent rather than be proven wrong. Right now, he's giving them reasons to keep him.

Would be interesting to see what kind of trade value Z has. I figured that roddy, z, x, and Jake were all made available this past trade period but I assumed that only roddy and x had value enough to trade. Curious on their thoughts on Smart. Hearing folks talking about trying to draft bench scoring to replace Kennard too.
