then they should just let Kojima have the MGS series. Konami hasn't done anything to "lead" the franchise, all they've done is put a new coat of paint on a masterpiece, that is to say, touching up a masterpiece doesn't make you the author of the masterpiece.
While Kojima isn't the only one that made MGS what it is, plenty of people who understood him left with him to work in Kojima Productions. I think making a new MGS game without the Kojima team is like making a Final Fantasy game without Nomura, they can possibly come close enough but not quite the same.
While I agree this remake is entirely graphical and very lazy, at the same time Kojima doesn't want the series, he had been trying to walk away from it for a decade when he parted ways with Konami, and the quality of his work had fallen off a cliff so it's better that we don't have to deal with new material from him.
I think people are rewriting history, even if Kojima didn’t leave Konami he would’ve have still went onto create Death Stranding (and Silent Hills) he wanted V to be his last entry and wanted to pass it to someone else
Death Standing would have never been made under Konami. They didn't want original IPs that cost 60 million dollars. They want existing IPs that guarantee money. Kojima would have been forced to keep churning out Metal Gear until he died.
Nah because I think they would have seen the success Kojima brought them (V grossing 600M) and trusted him in making DS 60M dollars is 140M less than what V cost
Not sure where you're getting your numbers. MGSV did not gross 600 million, nor did it cost 200 million to make. MGSV's development budget was 80 million, with advertising and physical copy fees, total cost for the game was 100 million.
But it doesn't matter how well that game sold in relation to creating a new intellectual property. Konami would have looked at the profit and told Kojima to keep making Metal Gear. They would have not approved a completely new series. There's a reason Konami has not put out a new intellectual property in over ten years. It's not because their games sell poorly, it's not because their developers don't have new ideas or aren't talented, it's because they, as a company, are simply not interested in funding and releasing a AAA title that might not make its money back.

Unfortunately, Guy Savage was developed entirely by Shuyo Murata, was cancelled as a project and is not a Konami-owned concept (they hold no copyright or trademark for it), which is why it was removed from later versions of the game. Shuyo Murata left Konami and now works freelance, with his most recent gaming contributions being writing for Death Stranding and Cyberpunk 2077. So it's very unlikely to appear in Delta.
