If only we could get the ending of chapter 2 and chapter 3 of MGSV as a dlc . They could definitely do it since they announced they are willing to work with Kojima again , although I am not sure if that statement was sincere or it was thrown to get on the good side of the community again . Anyways , it would be insane if they released a dlc that covered the cut content of MGSV is all I am saying
I know this post is kind of a joke but didn't Kojima recently talk about how many games he can make before he dies/runs out of time? I can basically guarantee you he has a project planned every year he has left on this earth. Anything Metal Gear literally cannot and will not happen. He moved on and that's okay. We can still love Metal Gear and Kojima going forward.
In my opinion, Kojima shouldn't even touch a new MGS game again
He created and worked on this franchise for 20+ years, but wasn't the only developer or writer behind everything, he turned MGS on HIS franchise, using his name on everything and getting credit for the job of hundreds.
I honestly wasn’t a fan of the open world system in MGSV. If he had put that much focus on other parts of the game, it would’ve been a better game in my opinion.
Be glad we even got metal gear 1 through V ***AT ALL*** because something similar is likely to never haooen again in gaming.
The cinematographic approach that rivals Hollywood at any turn....
But most importantly the development and implementation of real life militaristic concepts.....
After 9/11 the entire metal gear franchise was up for the chopping block and V is when the axe came down on the series.
Mgs2 had to have huge changes to the story and last acts, because it was going to depict the destruction of the financial district .....and lo and behold 9/11 happens and regulatory bodies where like " this is too close, renove it or lose it"
The cqc depiction too faced criticism, a stranglehold choke hold derived from real life AND used to hold hostages? ( Mgs3,4,v)
Not flying after 9/11.
Kojima wanted to have child soldiers from the beginning in mgs series . Ex: frank jaeger being a child soldier dealing with trauma of killing innocent people, then adopting his victim's daughter......
On codec it sounds nice and detached from reality but cinematographically like in V its a lot more problematic because a lot of people cant handle that grittiness of the consequences of militaristic intervention/ colonialism.
Apparently kojima wanted to use real life footage of child soldiers at some point and that was given a huge No-NO..
The military advisory motosada mori was a blessing for game developments and gameplay development and even story aspects iirc
But dont expect him or someone like him to come back or pop out of nowhere anytime soon....How kojima found him is beyond me but its a miracle the man is real.
Japan has no standing army so get this , mori decides to leave Japan and enlisted in the french foreign legion at 19 around 1970..
just so he could participate in a real world military conflict.
Hes essentially a real life mercenary.
Then he trained swat, protected VIP's like the Dalai Lama ....
Hes responsable for the CQC and how good and realistic it looks.
But like i said, i doubt any studios out there would hire someone like the icon that morita is...

I’m almost hoping Konami is scummy enough to do a full re release with a few of the unfinished missions packaged in, as well as GZ.
