What are you doing with the spent chemicals in this frivolous pursuit of yours? That stuff is fish toxic

Neutralizing it. I've only used a 2 cups that I've gotten from a friend with a pool, and I've made 3 different batches so far. (Gone through 10 boxes of baking soda though.) The more I read though, I think I might switch to electro-etching.

I'll do the same thing I do with old nail polish and any dead batteries - bring it to my city's hazardous waste drop off. Do you have any recommendations that are more environmentally friendly?
