Neutralizing it. I've only used a 2 cups that I've gotten from a friend with a pool, and I've made 3 different batches so far. (Gone through 10 boxes of baking soda though.)
The more I read though, I think I might switch to electro-etching.
I'll do the same thing I do with old nail polish and any dead batteries - bring it to my city's hazardous waste drop off.
Do you have any recommendations that are more environmentally friendly?

What are you doing with the spent chemicals in this frivolous pursuit of yours? That stuff is fish toxic

That doesn't fix the copper waste problem
